	출애굽기 13:1-14:31 하나님께서 이스라엘 백성들에게 무교절과 초태생 규례를 지키라고 말씀하셨다. 이는 그들이 애굽의 장자 사망의 재앙중에서 무사히 탈출하게 된 것을 기념하기 위해서였다. 하나님께서는 그들에게 불과 구름 기둥으로 임재하셔서 홍해의 광야 길로 인도하셨다. 마음이 강퍅하게 된 바로가 백성들을 추격했으나 하나님께서 모세의 지팡이로 홍해를 갈라지게 하여 구원하셨다.

	무교절과 초태생 규례(13:1-13:22)

主はモ ― セに仰せになった．

「すべての初子を聖別してわたしにささげよ．イスラエルの人¿の間で初めに胎を開くものはすべて，人であれ家畜であれ，わたしのものである．」

モ ― セは民に言った．「あなたたちは，奴隷の家，エジプトから出たこの日を記念しなさい．主が力强い御手をもって，あなたたちをそこから導き出されたからである．酵母入りのパンを食べてはならない．

あなたたちはアビブの月のこの日に出發する．

主が，あなたに與えると先祖に誓われた乳と蜜の流れる土地，カナン人，ヘト人，アモリ人，ヒビ人，エブス人の土地にあなたを導き入れられるとき，あなたはこの月にこの儀式を行わねばならない．

And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,

Sanctify unto me all the firstborn, whatsoever openeth the womb among the children of Israel, both of man and of beast: it is mine.

And Moses said unto the people, Remember this day, in which ye came out from Egypt, out of the house of bondage; for by strength of hand the LORD brought you out from this place: there shall no leavened bread be eaten.

This day came ye out in the month Abib.

And it shall be when the LORD shall bring thee into the land of the Canaanites, and the Hittites, and the Amorites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites, which he sware unto thy fathers to give thee, a land flowing with milk and honey, that thou shalt keep this service in this month.

七日の間，酵母を入れないパンを食べねばならない．七日目には主のための祭りをする．

酵母を入れないパンを七日の間食べる．あなたのもとに酵母入りのパンがあってはならないし，あなたの領土のどこにも酵母があってはならない．

あなたはこの日，自分の子供に告げなければならない．『これは，わたしがエジプトから出たとき，主がわたしのために行われたことのゆえである』と．

あなたは，この言葉を自分の腕と額に付けて記憶のしるしとし，主の敎えを口ずさまねばならない．主が力强い御手をもって，あなたをエジプトから導き出されたからである．

あなたはこの ¿を每年定められたときに守らねばならない．

Seven days thou shalt eat unleavened bread, and in the seventh day shall be a feast to the LORD.

Unleavened bread shall be eaten seven days; and there shall no leavened bread be seen with thee, neither shall there be leaven seen with thee in all thy quarters.

And thou shalt shew thy son in that day, saying, This is done because of that which the LORD did unto me when I came forth out of Egypt.

And it shall be for a sign unto thee upon thine hand, and for a memorial between thine eyes, that the LORD's law may be in thy mouth: for with a strong hand hath the LORD brought thee out of Egypt.

Thou shalt therefore keep this ordinance in his season from year to year.

主があなたと先祖に誓われたとおり，カナン人の土地にあなたを導き入れ，それをあなたに與えられるとき，

初めに胎を開くものはすべて，主にささげなければならない．あなたの家畜の初子のうち，雄はすべて主のものである．

ただし，ろばの初子の場合はすべて，小羊をもって ·わねばならない．もし， ·わない場合は，その首を折らねばならない．あなたの初子のうち，男の子の場合はすべて， ·わねばならない．

將來，あなたの子供が，『これにはどういう意味があるのですか』と尋ねるときは，こう答えなさい．『主は，力强い御手をもって我¿を奴隷の家，エジプトから導き出された．

ファラオがかたくなで，我¿を去らせなかったため，主はエジプトの國中の初子を，人の初子から家畜の初子まで，ことごとく擊たれた．それゆえわたしは，初めに胎を開く雄をすべて主に ¿牲としてささげ，また，自分の息子のうち初子は，必ず ·うのである．』

And it shall be when the LORD shall bring thee into the land of the Canaanites, as he sware unto thee and to thy fathers, and shall give it thee,

That thou shalt set apart unto the LORD all that openeth the matrix, and every firstling that cometh of a beast which thou hast; the males shall be the LORD's.

And every firstling of an ass thou shalt redeem with a lamb; and if thou wilt not redeem it, then thou shalt break his neck: and all the firstborn of man among thy children shalt thou redeem.

And it shall be when thy son asketh thee in time to come, saying, What is this? that thou shalt say unto him, By strength of hand the LORD brought us out from Egypt, from the house of bondage:

And it came to pass, when Pharaoh would hardly let us go, that the LORD slew all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both the firstborn of man, and the firstborn of beast: therefore I sacrifice to the LORD all that openeth the matrix, being males; but all the firstborn of my children I redeem.

あなたはこの言葉を腕に付けてしるしとし，額に付けて覺えとしなさい．主が力强い御手をもって，我¿をエジプトから導き出されたからである．」

さて，ファラオが民を去らせたとき，神は彼らをペリシテ街道には導かれなかった．それは近道であったが，民が戰わねばならぬことを知って後悔し，エジプトに歸ろうとするかもしれない，と思われたからである．

神は民を，葦の海に通じる荒れ野の道に迂回させられた．イスラエルの人¿は，隊伍を整えてエジプトの國から上った．

モ ― セはヨセフの骨を携えていた．ヨセフが，「神は必ずあなたたちを顧みられる．そのとき，わたしの骨をここから一緖に携えて上るように」と言って，イスラエルの子らに固く誓わせたからである．

一行はスコトから旅立って，荒れ野の端のエタムに宿營した．

And it shall be for a token upon thine hand, and for frontlets between thine eyes: for by strength of hand the LORD brought us forth out of Egypt.

And it came to pass, when Pharaoh had let the people go, that God led them not through the way of the land of the Philistines, although that was near; for God said, Lest peradventure the people repent when they see war, and they return to Egypt:

But God led the people about, through the way of the wilderness of the Red sea: and the children of Israel went up harnessed out of the land of Egypt.

And Moses took the bones of Joseph with him: for he had straitly sworn the children of Israel, saying, God will surely visit you; and ye shall carry up my bones away hence with you.

And they took their journey from Succoth, and encamped in Etham, in the edge of the wilderness.

主は彼らに先立って進み， ¿は雲の柱をもって導き，夜は火の柱をもって彼らを照らされたので，彼らは ¿も夜も行進することができた．

¿は雲の柱が，夜は火の柱が，民の先頭を離れることはなかった．

And the LORD went before them by day in a pillar of a cloud, to lead them the way; and by night in a pillar of fire, to give them light; to go by day and night:

He took not away the pillar of the cloud by day, nor the pillar of fire by night, from before the people.

	홍해 사건(14:1-14:31)

主はモ ― セに仰せになった．

「イスラエルの人¿に，引き返してミグドルと海との間のピ · ハヒロトの手前で宿營するよう命じなさい．バアル · ツェフォンの前に，それに面して，海邊に宿營するのだ．

するとファラオは，イスラエルの人¿が慌ててあの地方で道に迷い，荒れ野が彼らの行く手をふさいだと思うであろう．

わたしはファラオの心をかたくなにし，彼らの後を追わせる．しかし，わたしはファラオとその全軍を破って榮光を現すので，エジプト人は，わたしが主であることを知るようになる．」彼らは言われたとおりにした．

民が逃亡したとの報告を受けると，エジプト王ファラオとその家臣は，民に對する考えを一變して言った．「ああ，我¿は何ということをしたのだろう．イスラエル人を勞役から解放して去らせてしまったとは．」

And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,

Speak unto the children of Israel, that they turn and encamp before Pihahiroth, between Migdol and the sea, over against Baalzephon: before it shall ye encamp by the sea.

For Pharaoh will say of the children of Israel, They are entangled in the land, the wilderness hath shut them in.

And I will harden Pharaoh's heart, that he shall follow after them; and I will be honoured upon Pharaoh, and upon all his host; that the Egyptians may know that I am the LORD. And they did so.

And it was told the king of Egypt that the people fled: and the heart of Pharaoh and of his servants was turned against the people, and they said, Why have we done this, that we have let Israel go from serving us?

ファラオは戰車に馬をつなぎ，自ら軍勢を率い，

えり拔きの戰車六百をはじめ，エジプトの戰車すべてを動員し，それぞれに士官を乘り ¿ませた．

主がエジプト王ファラオの心をかたくなにされたので，王はイスラエルの人¿の後を追った．イスラエルの人¿は，意氣揚¿と出て行ったが，

エジプト軍は彼らの後を追い，ファラオの馬と戰車，騎兵と步兵は，ピ · ハヒロトの傍らで，バアル · ツェフォンの前の海邊に宿營している彼らに追いついた．

ファラオは旣に間近に迫り，イスラエルの人¿が目を上げて見ると，エジプト軍は旣に背後に襲いかかろうとしていた．イスラエルの人¿は非常に恐れて主に向かって叫び，

And he made ready his chariot, and took his people with him:

And he took six hundred chosen chariots, and all the chariots of Egypt, and captains over every one of them.

And the LORD hardened the heart of Pharaoh king of Egypt, and he pursued after the children of Israel: and the children of Israel went out with an high hand.

But the Egyptians pursued after them, all the horses and chariots of Pharaoh, and his horsemen, and his army, and overtook them encamping by the sea, beside Pihahiroth, before Baalzephon.

And when Pharaoh drew nigh, the children of Israel lifted up their eyes, and, behold, the Egyptians marched after them; and they were sore afraid: and the children of Israel cried out unto the LORD.

また，モ ― セに言った．「我¿を連れ出したのは，エジプトに墓がないからですか．荒れ野で死なせるためですか．一體，何をするためにエジプトから導き出したのですか．

我¿はエジプトで，『ほうっておいてください．自分たちはエジプト人に仕えます．荒れ野で死ぬよりエジプト人に仕える方がましです』と言ったではありませんか．」

モ ― セは民に答えた．「恐れてはならない．落ち着いて，今日，あなたたちのために行われる主の救いを見なさい．あなたたちは今日，エジプト人を見ているが，もう二度と，永久に彼らを見ることはない．

主があなたたちのために戰われる．あなたたちは靜かにしていなさい．」

主はモ ― セに言われた．「なぜ，わたしに向かって叫ぶのか．イスラエルの人¿に命じて出發させなさい．

And they said unto Moses, Because there were no graves in Egypt, hast thou taken us away to die in the wilderness? wherefore hast thou dealt thus with us, to carry us forth out of Egypt?

Is not this the word that we did tell thee in Egypt, saying, Let us alone, that we may serve the Egyptians? For it had been better for us to serve the Egyptians, than that we should die in the wilderness.

And Moses said unto the people, Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the LORD, which he will shew to you to day: for the Egyptians whom ye have seen to day, ye shall see them again no more for ever.

The LORD shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace.

And the LORD said unto Moses, Wherefore criest thou unto me? speak unto the children of Israel, that they go forward:

杖を高く上げ，手を海に向かって差し伸べて，海を二つに分けなさい．そうすれば，イスラエルの民は海の中の乾いた所を通ることができる．

しかし，わたしはエジプト人の心をかたくなにするから，彼らはお前たちの後を追って來る．そのとき，わたしはファラオとその全軍，戰車と騎兵を破って榮光を現す．

わたしがファラオとその戰車，騎兵を破って榮光を現すとき，エジプト人は，わたしが主であることを知るようになる．」

イスラエルの部隊に先立って進んでいた神の御使いは，移動して彼らの後ろを行き，彼らの前にあった雲の柱も移動して後ろに立ち，

エジプトの陣とイスラエルの陣との間に入った．眞っ黑な雲が立ちこめ，光が闇夜を貫いた．兩軍は，一晩中，互いに近づくことはなかった．

But lift thou up thy rod, and stretch out thine hand over the sea, and divide it: and the children of Israel shall go on dry ground through the midst of the sea.

And I, behold, I will harden the hearts of the Egyptians, and they shall follow them: and I will get me honour upon Pharaoh, and upon all his host, upon his chariots, and upon his horsemen.

And the Egyptians shall know that I am the LORD, when I have gotten me honour upon Pharaoh, upon his chariots, and upon his horsemen.

And the angel of God, which went before the camp of Israel, removed and went behind them; and the pillar of the cloud went from before their face, and stood behind them:

And it came between the camp of the Egyptians and the camp of Israel; and it was a cloud and darkness to them, but it gave light by night to these: so that the one came not near the other all the night.

モ ― セが手を海に向かって差し伸べると，主は夜もすがら激しい東風をもって海を押し返されたので，海は乾いた地に變わり，水は分かれた．

イスラエルの人¿は海の中の乾いた所を進んで行き，水は彼らの右と左に壁のようになった．

エジプト軍は彼らを追い，ファラオの馬，戰車，騎兵がことごとく彼らに從って海の中に入って來た．

朝の見張りのころ，主は火と雲の柱からエジプト軍を見下ろし，エジプト軍をかき亂された．

戰車の車輪をはずし，進みにくくされた．エジプト人は言った．「イスラエルの前から退却しよう．主が彼らのためにエジプトと戰っておられる．」

And Moses stretched out his hand over the sea; and the LORD caused the sea to go back by a strong east wind all that night, and made the sea dry land, and the waters were divided.

And the children of Israel went into the midst of the sea upon the dry ground: and the waters were a wall unto them on their right hand, and on their left.

And the Egyptians pursued, and went in after them to the midst of the sea, even all Pharaoh's horses, his chariots, and his horsemen.

And it came to pass, that in the morning watch the LORD looked unto the host of the Egyptians through the pillar of fire and of the cloud, and troubled the host of the Egyptians,

And took off their chariot wheels, that they drave them heavily: so that the Egyptians said, Let us flee from the face of Israel; for the LORD fighteth for them against the Egyptians.

主はモ ― セに言われた．「海に向かって手を差し伸べなさい．水がエジプト軍の上に，戰車，騎兵の上に流れ返るであろう．」

モ ― セが手を海に向かって差し伸べると，夜が明ける前に海は元の場所へ流れ返った．エジプト軍は水の流れに逆らって逃げたが，主は彼らを海の中に投げ ¿まれた．

水は元に戾り，戰車と騎兵，彼らの後を追って海に入ったファラオの全軍を覆い，一人も殘らなかった．

イスラエルの人¿は海の中の乾いた所を進んだが，そのとき，水は彼らの右と左に壁となった．

主はこうして，その日，イスラエルをエジプト人の手から救われた．イスラエルはエジプト人が海邊で死んでいるのを見た．

And the LORD said unto Moses, Stretch out thine hand over the sea, that the waters may come again upon the Egyptians, upon their chariots, and upon their horsemen.

And Moses stretched forth his hand over the sea, and the sea returned to his strength when the morning appeared; and the Egyptians fled against it; and the LORD overthrew the Egyptians in the midst of the sea.

And the waters returned, and covered the chariots, and the horsemen, and all the host of Pharaoh that came into the sea after them; there remained not so much as one of them.

But the children of Israel walked upon dry land in the midst of the sea; and the waters were a wall unto them on their right hand, and on their left.

Thus the LORD saved Israel that day out of the hand of the Egyptians; and Israel saw the Egyptians dead upon the sea shore.

イスラエルは，主がエジプト人に行われた大いなる御業を見た．民は主を畏れ，主とその僕モ ― セを信じた．

And Israel saw that great work which the LORD did upon the Egyptians: and the people feared the LORD, and believed the LORD, and his servant Moses.
