- イエス はそこを 去って 故鄕にお 歸りになったが， 弟子たちも 從った．
- 安息日になったので， イエス は 會堂で 敎え 始められた． 多くの 人¿はそれを 聞いて， 驚いて 言った． 「この 人は， このようなことをどこから 得たのだろう． この 人が 授かった 知惠と， その 手で 行われるこのような 奇跡はいったい 何か．
- この 人は， 大工ではないか． マリア の 息子で， ヤコブ ， ヨセ ， ユダ ， シモン の 兄弟ではないか． 姉妹たちは， ここで 我¿と 一緖に 住んでいるではないか． 」このように， 人¿は イエス につまずいた．
- イエス は， 「預言者が 敬われないのは， 自分の 故鄕， 親戚や 家族の 間だけである 」と 言われた．
- そこでは， ごくわずかの 病人に 手を 置いていやされただけで， そのほかは 何も 奇跡を 行うことがおできにならなかった．

- And he went out from thence, and came into his own country; and his disciples follow him.
- And when the sabbath day was come, he began to teach in the synagogue: and many hearing him were astonished, saying, From whence hath this man these things? and what wisdom is this which is given unto him, that even such mighty works are wrought by his hands?
- Is not this the carpenter, the son of Mary, the brother of James, and Joses, and of Juda, and Simon? and are not his sisters here with us? And they were offended at him.
- But Jesus, said unto them, A prophet is not without honour, but in his own country, and among his own kin, and in his own house.
- And he could there do no mighty work, save that he laid his hands upon a few sick folk, and healed them.

- そして， 人¿の 不信仰に 驚かれた． それから， イエス は 付近の 村を 巡り 步いてお 敎えになった．
- そして， 十二人を 呼び 寄せ， 二人ずつ 組にして 遣わすことにされた． その 際， 汚れた 靈に 對する 權能を 授け，
- 旅には 杖一本のほか 何も 持たず， パン も， 袋も， また 帶の 中に 金も 持たず，
- ただ 履物は 履くように， そして「下着は 二枚着てはならない 」と 命じられた．
- また， こうも 言われた． 「どこでも， ある 家に 入ったら， その 土地から 旅立つときまで， その 家にとどまりなさい．

- And he marvelled because of their unbelief. And he went round about the villages, teaching.
- And he called unto him the twelve, and began to send them forth by two and two; and gave them power over unclean spirits;
- And commanded them that they should take nothing for their journey, save a staff only; no scrip, no bread, no money in their purse:
- But be shod with sandals; and not put on two coats.
- And he said unto them, In what place soever ye enter into an house, there abide till ye depart from that place.

- しかし， あなたがたを 迎え 入れず， あなたがたに 耳を 傾けようともしない 所があったら， そこを 出ていくとき， 彼らへの 證しとして 足の 裏の 埃を 拂い 落としなさい． 」
- 十二人は 出かけて 行って， 悔い 改めさせるために 宣敎した．
- そして， 多くの 惡靈を 追い 出し， 油を 塗って 多くの 病人をいやした．

- And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear you, when ye depart thence, shake off the dust under your feet for a testimony against them. Verily I say unto you, It shall be more tolerable for Sodom and Gomorrha in the day of judgment, than for that city.
- And they went out, and preached that men should repent.
- And they cast out many devils, and anointed with oil many that were sick, and healed them.
