- さて， 過越祭と 除酵祭の 二日前になった． 祭司長たちや 律法學者たちは， なんとか 計略を 用いて イエス を 捕らえて 殺そうと 考えていた．
- 彼らは， 「民衆が ¿ぎだすといけないから， 祭りの 間はやめておこう 」と 言っていた．
- イエス が ベタニア でらい 病の 人 シモン の 家にいて， 食事の 席に 着いておられたとき， 一人の 女が， 純粹で 非常に 高價な ナルド の 香油の 入った 石膏の 壺を 持って 來て， それを 壞し， 香油を イエス の 頭に 注ぎかけた．
- そこにいた 人の 何人かが， 憤慨して 互いに 言った． 「なぜ， こんなに 香油を 無馱使いしたのか．
- この 香油は 三百 デナリオン 以上に 賣って， 貧しい 人¿に 施すことができたのに． 」そして， 彼女を 嚴しくとがめた．

- After two days was the feast of the passover, and of unleavened bread: and the chief priests and the scribes sought how they might take him by craft, and put him to death.
- But they said, Not on the feast day, lest there be an uproar of the people.
- And being in Bethany in the house of Simon the leper, as he sat at meat, there came a woman having an alabaster box of ointment of spikenard very precious; and she brake the box, and poured it on his head.
- And there were some that had indignation within themselves, and said, Why was this waste of the ointment made?
- For it might have been sold for more than three hundred pence, and have been given to the poor. And they murmured against her.

- イエス は 言われた． 「するままにさせておきなさい． なぜ， この 人を 困らせるのか． わたしに 良いことをしてくれたのだ．
- 貧しい 人¿はいつもあなたがたと 一緖にいるから， したいときに 良いことをしてやれる． しかし， わたしはいつも 一緖にいるわけではない．
- この 人はできるかぎりのことをした． つまり， 前もってわたしの 體に 香油を 注ぎ， 埋葬の 準備をしてくれた．
- はっきり 言っておく． 世界中どこでも， 福音が 宣べ 傳えられる 所では， この 人のしたことも 記念として 語り 傳えられるだろう． 」
- 十二人の 一人 イスカリオテ の ユダ は， イエス を 引き 渡そうとして， 祭司長たちのところへ 出かけて 行った．

- And Jesus said, Let her alone; why trouble ye her? she hath wrought a good work on me.
- For ye have the poor with you always, and whensoever ye will ye may do them good: but me ye have not always.
- She hath done what she could: she is come aforehand to anoint my body to the burying.
- Verily I say unto you, Wheresoever this gospel shall be preached throughout the whole world, this also that she hath done shall be spoken of for a memorial of her.
- And Judas Iscariot, one of the twelve, went unto the chief priests, to betray him unto them.

- 彼らはそれを 聞いて 喜び， 金を 與える 約束をした． そこで ユダ は， どうすれば 折よく イエス を 引き 渡せるかとねらっていた．
- 除酵祭の 第一日， すなわち 過越の 小羊を 屠る 日， 弟子たちが イエス に， 「過越の 食事をなさるのに， どこへ 行って 用意いたしましょうか 」と 言った．
- そこで， イエス は 次のように 言って， 二人の 弟子を 使いに 出された． 「都へ 行きなさい． すると， 水がめを 運んでいる 男に 出會う． その 人について 行きなさい．
- その 人が 入って 行く 家の 主人にはこう 言いなさい． 『先生が， 「弟子たちと 一緖に 過越の 食事をするわたしの 部屋はどこか 」と 言っています． 』
- すると， 席が 整って 用意のできた 二階の 廣間を 見せてくれるから， そこにわたしたちのために 準備をしておきなさい． 」

- And when they heard it, they were glad, and promised to give him money. And he sought how he might conveniently betray him.
- And the first day of unleavened bread, when they killed the passover, his disciples said unto him, Where wilt thou that we go and prepare that thou mayest eat the passover?
- And he sendeth forth two of his disciples, and saith unto them, Go ye into the city, and there shall meet you a man bearing a pitcher of water: follow him.
- And wheresoever he shall go in, say ye to the goodman of the house, The Master saith, Where is the guestchamber, where I shall eat the passover with my disciples?
- And he will shew you a large upper room furnished and prepared: there make ready for us.

- 弟子たちは 出かけて 都に 行ってみると， イエス が 言われたとおりだったので， 過越の 食事を 準備した．
- 夕方になると， イエス は 十二人と 一緖にそこへ 行かれた．
- 一同が 席に 着いて 食事をしているとき， イエス は 言われた． 「はっきり 言っておくが， あなたがたのうちの 一人で， わたしと 一緖に 食事をしている 者が， わたしを 裏切ろうとしている． 」
- 弟子たちは 心を 痛めて， 「まさかわたしのことでは 」と 代わる 代わる 言い 始めた．
- イエス は 言われた． 「十二人のうちの 一人で， わたしと 一緖に 鉢に 食べ 物を 浸している 者がそれだ．

- And his disciples went forth, and came into the city, and found as he had said unto them: and they made ready the passover.
- And in the evening he cometh with the twelve.
- And as they sat and did eat, Jesus said, Verily I say unto you, One of you which eateth with me shall betray me.
- And they began to be sorrowful, and to say unto him one by one, Is it I? and another said, Is it I?
- And he answered and said unto them, It is one of the twelve, that dippeth with me in the dish.

- 人の 子は， 聖書に 書いてあるとおりに， 去って 行く． だが， 人の 子を 裏切るその 者は 不幸だ． 生まれなかった 方が， その 者のためによかった． 」

- The Son of man indeed goeth, as it is written of him: but woe to that man by whom the Son of man is betrayed! good were it for that man if he had never been born.
