- 夜が 明けるとすぐ， 祭司長たちは， 長老や 律法學者たちと 共に， つまり 最高法院全體で 相談した 後， イエス を 縛って 引いて 行き， ピラト に 渡した．
- ピラト が イエス に， 「お 前が ユダヤ 人の 王なのか 」と 尋問すると， イエス は， 「それは， あなたが 言っていることです 」と 答えられた．
- そこで 祭司長たちが， いろいろと イエス を 訴えた．
- ピラト が 再び 尋問した． 「何も 答えないのか． 彼らがあのようにお 前を 訴えているのに． 」
- しかし， イエス がもはや 何もお 答えにならなかったので， ピラト は 不思議に 思った．

- And straightway in the morning the chief priests held a consultation with the elders and scribes and the whole council, and bound Jesus, and carried him away, and delivered him to Pilate.
- And Pilate asked him, Art thou the King of the Jews? And he answering said unto them, Thou sayest it.
- And the chief priests accused him of many things: but he answered nothing.
- And Pilate asked him again, saying, Answerest thou nothing? behold how many things they witness against thee.
- But Jesus yet answered nothing; so that Pilate marvelled.

- ところで， 祭りの 度ごとに， ピラト は 人¿が 願い 出る 囚人を 一人釋放していた．
- さて， 暴動のとき 人殺しをして 投獄されていた 暴徒たちの 中に， バラバ という 男がいた．
- 群衆が 押しかけて 來て， いつものようにしてほしいと 要求し 始めた．
- そこで， ピラト は， 「あの ユダヤ 人の 王を 釋放してほしいのか 」と 言った．
- 祭司長たちが イエス を 引き 渡したのは， ねたみのためだと 分かっていたからである．

- Now at that feast he released unto them one prisoner, whomsoever they desired.
- And there was one named Barabbas, which lay bound with them that had made insurrection with him, who had committed murder in the insurrection.
- And the multitude crying aloud began to desire him to do as he had ever done unto them.
- But Pilate answered them, saying, Will ye that I release unto you the King of the Jews?
- For he knew that the chief priests had delivered him for envy.

- 祭司長たちは， バラバ の 方を 釋放してもらうように 群衆を 扇動した．
- そこで， ピラト は 改めて， 「それでは， ユダヤ 人の 王とお 前たちが 言っているあの 者は， どうしてほしいのか 」と 言った．
- 群衆はまた 叫んだ． 「十字架につけろ． 」
- ピラト は 言った． 「いったいどんな 惡事を ¿いたというのか． 」群衆はますます 激しく， 「十字架につけろ 」と 叫び 立てた．
- ピラト は 群衆を 滿足させようと 思って， バラバ を 釋放した． そして， イエス を 鞭打ってから， 十字架につけるために 引き 渡した．

- But the chief priests moved the people, that he should rather release Barabbas unto them.
- And Pilate answered and said again unto them, What will ye then that I shall do unto him whom ye call the King of the Jews?
- And they cried out again, Crucify him.
- Then Pilate said unto them, Why, what evil hath he done? And they cried out the more exceedingly, Crucify him.
- And so Pilate, willing to content the people, released Barabbas unto them, and delivered Jesus, when he had scourged him, to be crucified.

- 兵士たちは， 官邸， すなわち 總督官邸の 中に， イエス を 引いて 行き， 部隊の 全員を 呼び 集めた．
- そして， イエス に 紫の 服を 着せ， 茨の 冠を 編んでかぶらせ，
- 「ユダヤ 人の 王， 万歲 」と 言って 敬禮し 始めた．
- また 何度も， 葦の 棒で 頭をたたき， 唾を 吐きかけ， ひざまずいて 拜んだりした．
- このように イエス を 侮辱したあげく， 紫の 服を 脫がせて 元の 服を 着せた． そして， 十字架につけるために 外へ 引き 出した．

- And the soldiers led him away into the hall, called Praetorium; and they call together the whole band.
- And they clothed him with purple, and platted a crown of thorns, and put it about his head,
- And began to salute him, Hail, King of the Jews!
- And they smote him on the head with a reed, and did spit upon him, and bowing their knees worshipped him.
- And when they had mocked him, they took off the purple from him, and put his own clothes on him, and led him out to crucify him.

- そこへ， アレクサンドロ と ルフォス との 父で シモン という キレネ 人が， 田舍から 出て 來て 通りかかったので， 兵士たちは イエス の 十字架を 無理に 擔がせた．
- そして， イエス を ゴルゴタ という 所 ――その 意味は「されこうべの 場所 」――に 連れて 行った．
- ¿藥を 混ぜたぶどう 酒を 飮ませようとしたが， イエス はお 受けにならなかった．
- それから， 兵士たちは イエス を 十字架につけて， ／その 服を 分け 合った， ／だれが 何を 取るかをくじ 引きで 決めてから．
- イエス を 十字架につけたのは， 午前九時であった．

- And they compel one Simon a Cyrenian, who passed by, coming out of the country, the father of Alexander and Rufus, to bear his cross.
- And they bring him unto the place Golgotha, which is, being interpreted, The place of a skull.
- And they gave him to drink wine mingled with myrrh: but he received it not.
- And when they had crucified him, they parted his garments, casting lots upon them, what every man should take.
- And it was the third hour, and they crucified him.

- 罪狀書きには， 「ユダヤ 人の 王 」と 書いてあった．
- また， イエス と 一緖に 二人の 强盜を， 一人は 右にもう 一人は 左に， 十字架につけた．
- ＊こうして， 「その 人は 犯罪人の 一人に 數えられた 」という 聖書の 言葉が 實現した．
- そこを 通りかかった 人¿は， 頭を 振りながら イエス をののしって 言った． 「おやおや， 神殿を 打ち 倒し， 三日で 建てる 者，
- 十字架から 降りて 自分を 救ってみろ． 」

- And the superscription of his accusation was written over, THE KING OF THE JEWS.
- And with him they crucify two thieves; the one on his right hand, and the other on his left.
- And the scripture was fulfilled, which saith, And he was numbered with the transgressors.
- And they that passed by railed on him, wagging their heads, and saying, Ah, thou that destroyest the temple, and buildest it in three days,
- Save thyself, and come down from the cross.

- 同じように， 祭司長たちも 律法學者たちと 一緖になって， 代わる 代わる イエス を 侮辱して 言った． 「他人は 救ったのに， 自分は 救えない．
- メシア ， イスラエル の 王， 今すぐ 十字架から 降りるがいい． それを 見たら， 信じてやろう． 」一緖に 十字架につけられた 者たちも， イエス をののしった．
- ¿の 十二時になると， 全地は 暗くなり， それが 三時まで 續いた．
- 三時に イエス は 大聲で 叫ばれた． 「エロイ ， エロイ ， レマ ， サバクタニ ． 」これは， 「わが 神， わが 神， なぜわたしをお 見捨てになったのですか 」という 意味である．
- そばに 居合わせた 人¿のうちには， これを 聞いて， 「そら， エリヤ を 呼んでいる 」と 言う 者がいた．

- Likewise also the chief priests mocking said among themselves with the scribes, He saved others; himself he cannot save.
- Let Christ the King of Israel descend now from the cross, that we may see and believe. And they that were crucified with him reviled him.
- And when the sixth hour was come, there was darkness over the whole land until the ninth hour.
- And at the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani? which is, being interpreted, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?
- And some of them that stood by, when they heard it, said, Behold, he calleth Elias.

- ある 者が 走り 寄り， 海綿に 酸いぶどう 酒を 含ませて 葦の 棒に 付け， 「待て， エリヤ が 彼を 降ろしに 來るかどうか， 見ていよう 」と 言いながら， イエス に 飮ませようとした．
- しかし， イエス は 大聲を 出して 息を 引き 取られた．
- すると， 神殿の 垂れ 幕が 上から 下まで 眞っ 二つに 裂けた．
- 百人隊長が イエス の 方を 向いて， そばに 立っていた． そして， イエス がこのように 息を 引き 取られたのを 見て， 「本當に， この 人は 神の 子だった 」と 言った．
- また， 婦人たちも 遠くから 見守っていた． その 中には， マグダラ の マリア ， 小 ヤコブ と ヨセ の 母 マリア ， そして サロメ がいた．

- And one ran and filled a spunge full of vinegar, and put it on a reed, and gave him to drink, saying, Let alone; let us see whether Elias will come to take him down.
- And Jesus cried with a loud voice, and gave up the ghost.
- And the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom.
- And when the centurion, which stood over against him, saw that he so cried out, and gave up the ghost, he said, Truly this man was the Son of God.
- There were also women looking on afar off: among whom was Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James the less and of Joses, and Salome;

- この 婦人たちは， イエス が ガリラヤ におられたとき， イエス に 從って 來て 世話をしていた 人¿である． なおそのほかにも， イエス と 共に エルサレム へ 上って 來た 婦人たちが 大勢いた．
- 旣に 夕方になった． その 日は 準備の 日， すなわち 安息日の 前日であったので，
- アリマタヤ 出身で 身分の 高い 議員 ヨセフ が 來て， 勇氣を 出して ピラト のところへ 行き， イエス の 遺體を 渡してくれるようにと 願い 出た． この 人も 神の 國を 待ち 望んでいたのである．
- ピラト は， イエス がもう 死んでしまったのかと 不思議に 思い， 百人隊長を 呼び 寄せて， 旣に 死んだかどうかを 尋ねた．
- そして， 百人隊長に 確かめたうえ， 遺體を ヨセフ に 下げ 渡した．

- (Who also, when he was in Galilee, followed him, and ministered unto him;) and many other women which came up with him unto Jerusalem.
- And now when the even was come, because it was the preparation, that is, the day before the sabbath,
- Joseph of Arimathaea, an honourable counsellor, which also waited for the kingdom of God, came, and went in boldly unto Pilate, and craved the body of Jesus.
- And Pilate marvelled if he were already dead: and calling unto him the centurion, he asked him whether he had been any while dead.
- And when he knew it of the centurion, he gave the body to Joseph.

- ヨセフ は 亞麻布を 買い， イエス を 十字架から 降ろしてその 布で 卷き， 岩を 掘って 作った 墓の 中に 納め， 墓の 入り 口には 石を 轉がしておいた．
- マグダラ の マリア と ヨセ の 母 マリア とは， イエス の 遺體を 納めた 場所を 見つめていた．

- And he bought fine linen, and took him down, and wrapped him in the linen, and laid him in a sepulchre which was hewn out of a rock, and rolled a stone unto the door of the sepulchre.
- And Mary Magdalene and Mary the mother of Joses beheld where he was laid.
