- モ ― セ は， イスラエル の 長老たちと 共に 民にこう 命じた． 今日， わたしが 命じるすべての 戒めを 守りなさい．
- ヨルダン 川を 渡り， あなたの 神， 主が 與えられる 土地に 入る 日には， 大きな 石を 幾つか 立て， しっくいを 塗り，
- あなたが 川を 渡ったとき， その 上にこの 律法の 言葉をすべて 書き 記しなさい． こうしてあなたは， あなたの 先祖の 神， 主が 約束されたとおり， あなたの 神， 主が 與えられる 乳と 蜜の 流れる 土地に 入ることができる．
- あなたたちが ヨルダン 川を 渡ったならば， わたしが 今日命じるこれらの 石を エバル 山に 立て， しっくいを 塗り，
- またそこに， あなたの 神， 主のために 祭壇を 築きなさい． それは 石の 祭壇で， 鐵の 道具を 當ててはならない．

- And Moses with the elders of Israel commanded the people, saying, Keep all the commandments which I command you this day.
- And it shall be on the day when ye shall pass over Jordan unto the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee, that thou shalt set thee up great stones, and plaister them with plaister:
- And thou shalt write upon them all the words of this law, when thou art passed over, that thou mayest go in unto the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee, a land that floweth with milk and honey; as the LORD God of thy fathers hath promised thee.
- Therefore it shall be when ye be gone over Jordan, that ye shall set up these stones, which I command you this day, in mount Ebal, and thou shalt plaister them with plaister.
- And there shalt thou build an altar unto the LORD thy God, an altar of stones: thou shalt not lift up any iron tool upon them.

- 自然のままの 石であなたの 神， 主の 祭壇を 築き， その 上であなたの 神， 主に 燒き 盡くす 獻げ 物をささげなさい．
- また， 和解の 獻げ 物を 屠ってそれにあずかり， あなたの 神， 主の 御前で 喜び 祝いなさい．
- あなたは 石の 上にこの 律法の 言葉をすべてはっきりと 書き 記しなさい．
- モ ― セ は， レビ 人である 祭司と 共に 全 イスラエル に 向かって 告げた． イスラエル よ， 靜かにして 聞きなさい． あなたは 今日， あなたの 神， 主の 民とされた．
- あなたの 神， 主の 御聲に 聞き 從い， 今日わたしが 命じる 戒めと ¿を 行わねばならない．

- Thou shalt build the altar of the LORD thy God of whole stones: and thou shalt offer burnt offerings thereon unto the LORD thy God:
- And thou shalt offer peace offerings, and shalt eat there, and rejoice before the LORD thy God.
- And thou shalt write upon the stones all the words of this law very plainly.
- And Moses and the priests the Levites spake unto all Israel, saying, Take heed, and hearken, O Israel; this day thou art become the people of the LORD thy God.
- Thou shalt therefore obey the voice of the LORD thy God, and do his commandments and his statutes, which I command thee this day.

- その 日， モ ― セ は 民にこう 命じた．
- あなたたちが ヨルダン 川を 渡ったならば， 民を 祝福するために， シメオン ， レビ ， ユダ ， イサカル ， ヨセフ ， ベニヤミン は ゲリジム 山に 立ち，
- また 呪うために， ルベン ， ガド ， アシェル ， ゼブルン ， ダン ， ナフタリ は エバル 山に 立ちなさい．
- レビ 人は， 大聲で イスラエル の 人すべてに 向かって 宣言しなければならない．
- 「職人の 手の 業にすぎぬ 彫像や 鑄像は 主のいとわれるものであり， これを 造り， ひそかに 安置する 者は 呪われる． 」それに 答えて， 民は 皆， 「ア ― メン 」と 言わねばならない．

- And Moses charged the people the same day, saying,
- These shall stand upon mount Gerizim to bless the people, when ye are come over Jordan; Simeon, and Levi, and Judah, and Issachar, and Joseph, and Benjamin:
- And these shall stand upon mount Ebal to curse; Reuben, Gad, and Asher, and Zebulun, Dan, and Naphtali.
- And the Levites shall speak, and say unto all the men of Israel with a loud voice,
- Cursed be the man that maketh any graven or molten image, an abomination unto the LORD, the work of the hands of the craftsman, and putteth it in a secret place. And all the people shall answer and say, Amen.

- 「父母を 輕んずる 者は， 呪われる． 」民は 皆， 「ア ― メン 」と 言わねばならない．
- 「隣人との 地境を 動かす 者は 呪われる． 」民は 皆， 「ア ― メン 」と 言わねばならない．
- 「盲人を 道に 迷わせる 者は 呪われる． 」民は 皆， 「ア ― メン 」と 言わねばならない．
- 「寄留者， 孤兒， 寡婦の 權利をゆがめる 者は 呪われる． 」民は 皆， 「ア ― メン 」と 言わねばならない．
- 「父の 妻と 寢る 者は 呪われる． 父の 衣の ¿をあらわにするからである． 」民は 皆， 「ア ― メン 」と 言わねばならない．

- Cursed be he that setteth light by his father or his mother. And all the people shall say, Amen.
- Cursed be he that removeth his neighbour's landmark. And all the people shall say, Amen.
- Cursed be he that maketh the blind to wander out of the way. And all the people shall say, Amen.
- Cursed be he that perverteth the judgment of the stranger, fatherless, and widow. And all the people shall say, Amen.
- Cursed be he that lieth with his father's wife; because he uncovereth his father's skirt. And all the people shall say, Amen.

- 「どんな ¿とも 寢る 者は 呪われる． 」民は 皆， 「ア ― メン 」と 言わねばならない．
- 「異母姉妹であれ， 異父姉妹であれ， 自分の 姉妹と 寢る 者は 呪われる． 」民は 皆， 「ア ― メン 」と 言わねばならない．
- 「妻の 母と 寢る 者は 呪われる． 」民は 皆， 「ア ― メン 」と 言わねばならない．
- 「隣人をひそかに 打ち 殺す 者は 呪われる． 」民は 皆， 「ア ― メン 」と 言わねばならない．
- 「賄賂を 取って， 人を 打ち 殺して 罪のない 人の 血を 流す 者は 呪われる． 」民は 皆， 「ア ― メン 」と 言わねばならない．

- Cursed be he that lieth with any manner of beast. And all the people shall say, Amen.
- Cursed be he that lieth with his sister, the daughter of his father, or the daughter of his mother. And all the people shall say, Amen.
- Cursed be he that lieth with his mother in law. And all the people shall say, Amen.
- Cursed be he that smiteth his neighbour secretly. And all the people shall say, Amen.
- Cursed be he that taketh reward to slay an innocent person. And all the people shall say, Amen.

- 「この 律法の 言葉を 守り 行わない 者は 呪われる． 」民は 皆， 「ア ― メン 」と 言わねばならない．

- Cursed be he that confirmeth not all the words of this law to do them. And all the people shall say, Amen.
