사사기 3:1-4:24

 이스라엘에서 전쟁을 알지 못하는 세대가 일어나 하나님 앞에 악을 행하자, 하나님께서 그들을 외적의 손에 붙이셨다. 백성들이 범죄할 때마다 하나님께서는 메소보다미아, 모압, 블레셋을 통해 그들을 치셨고, 이에 백성들이 하나님께 부르짖자 옷니엘과 에훗과 삼갈을 사사로 세워 그들을 구원하셨다. 그러나 그 후에도 백성들은 다시 타락하여 가나안의 압제를 받게 되었다. 이 때 드보라가 사사가 되어 이스라엘을 가나안의 압제에서 구원하였다.
  
  옷니엘과 에훗(3:1-3:31)    
 
  1. カナン 人とのいかなる 戰いも 知らない イスラエル とそのすべての 者を 試みるために 用いようとして， 主がとどまらせられた 諸國の 民は 以下のとおりである．
  2. そうされたのは， ただ 以前に 戰いを 知ることがなかったということで， その イスラエル の 人¿の 世代に 戰いを 學ばせるためにほかならなかった．
  3. ペリシテ 人の 五人の 領主， すべての カナン 人， シドン 人， バアル · ヘルモン の 山から レボ · ハマト に 及ぶ レバノン の 山地に 住む ヒビ 人がそれである．
  4. 彼らは イスラエル を 試みるため， 主が モ ― セ によって 先祖に 授けられた 戒めに イスラエル が 聞き 從うかどうかを 知るためのものであった．
  5. しかし， イスラエル の 人¿は カナン 人， ヘト 人， アモリ 人， ペリジ 人， ヒビ 人， エブス 人の 中に 住んで，
  1. Now these are the nations which the LORD left, to prove Israel by them, even as many of Israel as had not known all the wars of Canaan;
  2. Only that the generations of the children of Israel might know, to teach them war, at the least such as before knew nothing thereof;
  3. Namely, five lords of the Philistines, and all the Canaanites, and the Sidonians, and the Hivites that dwelt in mount Lebanon, from mount Baalhermon unto the entering in of Hamath.
  4. And they were to prove Israel by them, to know whether they would hearken unto the commandments of the LORD, which he commanded their fathers by the hand of Moses.
  5. And the children of Israel dwelt among the Canaanites, Hittites, and Amorites, and Perizzites, and Hivites, and Jebusites:
  1. 彼らの 娘を 妻に 迎え， 自分たちの 娘を 彼らの 息子に 嫁がせ， 彼らの 神¿に 仕えた．

  4. イスラエル の 人¿が 主に 助けを 求めて 叫んだので， 主は イスラエル の 人¿のために 一人の 救助者を 立て， 彼らを 救われた． これが カレブ の 弟 ケナズ の 子 オトニエル である．
  5. 主の 靈が 彼の 上に 臨み， 彼は 士師として イスラエル を 裁いた． 彼が 戰いに 出ると， 主は， アラム の 王 クシャン · リシュアタイム を 彼の 手に 渡してくださったので， 彼の 手は クシャン · リシュアタイム を 抑えることができた．
  1. And they took their daughters to be their wives, and gave their daughters to their sons, and served their gods.
  2. And the children of Israel did evil in the sight of the LORD, and forgat the LORD their God, and served Baalim and the groves.
  3. Therefore the anger of the LORD was hot against Israel, and he sold them into the hand of Chushanrishathaim king of Mesopotamia: and the children of Israel served Chushanrishathaim eight years.
  4. And when the children of Israel cried unto the LORD, the LORD raised up a deliverer to the children of Israel, who delivered them, even Othniel the son of Kenaz, Caleb's younger brother.
  5. And the Spirit of the LORD came upon him, and he judged Israel, and went out to war: and the LORD delivered Chushanrishathaim king of Mesopotamia into his hand; and his hand prevailed against Chushanrishathaim.
  1. 國は 四十年にわたって 平穩であった． こうして ケナズ の 子 オトニエル は 死んだ．

  5. イスラエル の 人¿が 主に 助けを 求めて 叫んだので， 主は 彼らのために 一人の 救助者を 立てられた． これが ベニヤミン 族の ゲラ の 子， 左利きの エフド である． イスラエル の 人¿は 貢ぎ 物を 彼の 手に 託して， モアブ の 王 エグロン のもとに 送った．
  1. And the land had rest forty years. And Othniel the son of Kenaz died.
  2. And the children of Israel did evil again in the sight of the LORD: and the LORD strengthened Eglon the king of Moab against Israel, because they had done evil in the sight of the LORD.
  3. And he gathered unto him the children of Ammon and Amalek, and went and smote Israel, and possessed the city of palm trees.
  4. So the children of Israel served Eglon the king of Moab eighteen years.
  5. But when the children of Israel cried unto the LORD, the LORD raised them up a deliverer, Ehud the son of Gera, a Benjamite, a man lefthanded: and by him the children of Israel sent a present unto Eglon the king of Moab.
  1. エフド は 刃渡り 一 ゴメド の 兩刃の 劍を 作り， それを 右腰に 帶びて 上着で 隱し，
  2. モアブ の 王 エグロン のもとに 貢ぎ 物を 納めに 行った． 王は 非常に 太っていた．
  3. エフド は 貢ぎ 物を 納め 終わると， 貢ぎ 物を 運んで 來た 者たちを 去らせ，
  4. 自らは ギルガル に 近い 偶像のあるところから 引き 返し， 「王よ， 內密の 話がございます 」と 言った． 王が， 「默れ 」と 言うと， そばにいた 從臣たちは 皆席をはずした．
  5. エフド は 近づいたが， そのとき 王は 屋上にしつらえた ¿しい 部屋に 座り， ただ 一人になっていた． エフド が， 「あなたへの 神のお 告げを 持って 來ました 」と 言うと， 王は 席から 立ち 上がった．
  1. But Ehud made him a dagger which had two edges, of a cubit length; and he did gird it under his raiment upon his right thigh.
  2. And he brought the present unto Eglon king of Moab: and Eglon was a very fat man.
  3. And when he had made an end to offer the present, he sent away the people that bare the present.
  4. But he himself turned again from the quarries that were by Gilgal, and said, I have a secret errand unto thee, O king: who said, Keep silence. And all that stood by him went out from him.
  5. And Ehud came unto him; and he was sitting in a summer parlour, which he had for himself alone. And Ehud said, I have a message from God unto thee. And he arose out of his seat.
  1. エフド は 左手で 右腰の 劍を 拔き， 王の 腹を 刺した．
  2. 劍は 刃からつかまでも 刺さり， 拔かずにおいたため 脂肪が 刃を 閉じ ¿めてしまった． 汚物が 出てきていた．
  3. エフド は 廊下に 出たが， 屋上にしつらえた 部屋の 戶は 閉じて 錠を 下ろしておいた．
  4. 彼が 出て 行った 後， 從臣たちが 來て， 屋上にしつらえた 部屋の 戶に 錠がかかっているのを 見， 王は ¿しいところで 用を 足しておられるのだと 言い 合った．
  5. 待てるだけ 待ったが， 屋上にしつらえた 部屋の 戶が 開かないので， 鍵を 取って 開けて 見ると， 彼らの 主君は 床に 倒れて 死んでいた．
  1. And Ehud put forth his left hand, and took the dagger from his right thigh, and thrust it into his belly:
  2. And the haft also went in after the blade; and the fat closed upon the blade, so that he could not draw the dagger out of his belly; and the dirt came out.
  3. Then Ehud went forth through the porch, and shut the doors of the parlour upon him, and locked them.
  4. When he was gone out, his servants came; and when they saw that, behold, the doors of the parlour were locked, they said, Surely he covereth his feet in his summer chamber.
  5. And they tarried till they were ashamed: and, behold, he opened not the doors of the parlour; therefore they took a key, and opened them: and, behold, their lord was fallen down dead on the earth.
  1. 彼らが 手間取っている 間に エフド は 拔け 出し， 偶像のあったところを 過ぎて セイラ に 逃れた．
  2. 到着すると， 彼は エフライム の 山地に 角笛を 吹き 鳴らした． イスラエル の 人¿は 彼と 一緖になり， 彼を 先頭に 山を 下った．
  3. 彼は 言った． 「わたしの 後について 來なさい． 主は 敵 モアブ をあなたたちの 手に 渡してくださった． 」彼らはその エフド に 從って 下り， モアブ に 向かう ヨルダン の 渡しを 手中に 收めた． 彼らはだれ 一人そこを 渡らせなかった．
  4. 彼らはこのとき 約一万の モアブ 人を 打ち 殺した． 皆たくましい 兵士たちであったが， 一人として 逃れた 者はいなかった．
  5. モアブ はこの 日 イスラエル の 手中に 落ちて 屈服し， 國は 八十年にわたって 平穩であった．
  1. And Ehud escaped while they tarried, and passed beyond the quarries, and escaped unto Seirath.
  2. And it came to pass, when he was come, that he blew a trumpet in the mountain of Ephraim, and the children of Israel went down with him from the mount, and he before them.
  3. And he said unto them, Follow after me: for the LORD hath delivered your enemies the Moabites into your hand. And they went down after him, and took the fords of Jordan toward Moab, and suffered not a man to pass over.
  4. And they slew of Moab at that time about ten thousand men, all lusty, and all men of valour; and there escaped not a man.
  5. So Moab was subdued that day under the hand of Israel. And the land had rest fourscore years.
  1. エフド の 後， アナト の 子 シャムガル が 現れ， 牛追いの 棒で ペリシテ 人六百人を 打ち 殺した． 彼も イスラエル を 救った．
  1. And after him was Shamgar the son of Anath, which slew of the Philistines six hundred men with an ox goad: and he also delivered Israel.
 
  드보라와 바락(4:1-4:24)    
 
  1. エフド の 死後， イスラエル の 人¿はまたも 主の 目に 惡とされることを 行い，
  2. 主は ハツォル で 王位についていた カナン の 王 ヤビン の 手に， 彼らを 賣り 渡された． ヤビン の 將軍は シセラ であって， ハロシェト · ハゴイム に 住んでいた．
  3. イスラエル の 人¿は， 主に 助けを 求めて 叫んだ． ヤビン は 鐵の 戰車九百兩を 有し， 二十年にわたって イスラエル の 人¿を， 力ずくで 押さえつけたからである．
  4. ラピドト の 妻， 女預言者 デボラ が， 士師として イスラエル を 裁くようになったのはそのころである．
  5. 彼女は， エフライム 山地の ラマ と ベテル の 間にある デボラ のなつめやしの 木の 下に 座を 定め， イスラエル の 人¿はその 彼女に 裁きを 求めて 上ることにしていた．
  1. And the children of Israel again did evil in the sight of the LORD, when Ehud was dead.
  2. And the LORD sold them into the hand of Jabin king of Canaan, that reigned in Hazor; the captain of whose host was Sisera, which dwelt in Harosheth of the Gentiles.
  3. And the children of Israel cried unto the LORD: for he had nine hundred chariots of iron; and twenty years he mightily oppressed the children of Israel.
  4. And Deborah, a prophetess, the wife of Lapidoth, she judged Israel at that time.
  5. And she dwelt under the palm tree of Deborah between Ramah and Bethel in mount Ephraim: and the children of Israel came up to her for judgment.
  1. さて， 彼女は 人を 遣わして， ナフタリ の ケデシュ から アビノアム の 子 バラク を 呼び 寄せて 言った． 「イスラエル の 神， 主がお 命じになったではありませんか． 『行け， ナフタリ 人と ゼブルン 人一万を 動員し， タボル 山に 集結させよ．
  2. わたしは ヤビン の 將軍 シセラ とその 戰車， 軍勢をお 前に 對して キション 川に 集結させる． わたしは 彼をお 前の 手に 渡す 』と． 」
  3. バラク は デボラ に 言った． 「あなたが 共に 來てくださるなら， 行きます． もし 來てくださらないなら， わたしは 行きません． 」
  4. デボラ は， 「わたしも 一緖に 行きます． ただし 今回の 出陣で， あなたは 榮譽を 自分のものとすることはできません． 主は 女の 手に シセラ を 賣り 渡されるからです 」と 答え， 直ちに バラク と 共に ケデシュ に 向かった．
  5. バラク は ゼブルン と ナフタリ を ケデシュ に 召集した． 一万人が 彼に 從って 上り， 彼と 共に デボラ も 上った．
  1. And she sent and called Barak the son of Abinoam out of Kedeshnaphtali, and said unto him, Hath not the LORD God of Israel commanded, saying, Go and draw toward mount Tabor, and take with thee ten thousand men of the children of Naphtali and of the children of Zebulun?
  2. And I will draw unto thee to the river Kishon Sisera, the captain of Jabin's army, with his chariots and his multitude; and I will deliver him into thine hand.
  3. And Barak said unto her, If thou wilt go with me, then I will go: but if thou wilt not go with me, then I will not go.
  4. And she said, I will surely go with thee: notwithstanding the journey that thou takest shall not be for thine honour; for the LORD shall sell Sisera into the hand of a woman. And Deborah arose, and went with Barak to Kedesh.
  5. And Barak called Zebulun and Naphtali to Kedesh; and he went up with ten thousand men at his feet: and Deborah went up with him.
  1. カイン 人の ヘベル が モ ― セ のしゅうと ホバブ の 人¿， カイン から 離れて， ケデシュ に 近い エロン · ベツァアナニム の 邊りに 天幕を 張っていた．
  2. シセラ は アビノアム の 子 バラク が タボル 山に 上ったとの 知らせを 受けると，
  3. すべての 戰車， すなわち 九百兩に 及ぶ 鐵の 戰車に 加えて 自分に 屬するすべての 軍隊を 召集し， ハロシェト · ハゴイム から キション 川に 向かわせた．
  4. デボラ は バラク に 言った． 「立ちなさい． 主が， シセラ をあなたの 手にお 渡しになる 日が 來ました． 主が， あなたに 先立って 出て 行かれたではありませんか． 」 バラク は 一万の 兵を 從え， タボル 山を 下った．
  5. 主は， シセラ とそのすべての 戰車， すべての 軍勢を バラク の 前で 混亂させられた． シセラ は 車を 降り， 走って 逃げた．
  1. Now Heber the Kenite, which was of the children of Hobab the father in law of Moses, had severed himself from the Kenites, and pitched his tent unto the plain of Zaanaim, which is by Kedesh.
  2. And they shewed Sisera that Barak the son of Abinoam was gone up to mount Tabor.
  3. And Sisera gathered together all his chariots, even nine hundred chariots of iron, and all the people that were with him, from Harosheth of the Gentiles unto the river of Kishon.
  4. And Deborah said unto Barak, Up; for this is the day in which the LORD hath delivered Sisera into thine hand: is not the LORD gone out before thee? So Barak went down from mount Tabor, and ten thousand men after him.
  5. And the LORD discomfited Sisera, and all his chariots, and all his host, with the edge of the sword before Barak; so that Sisera lighted down off his chariot, and fled away on his feet.
  1. バラク は， 敵の 戰車と 軍勢を ハロシェト · ハゴイム まで 追いつめた． シセラ の 軍勢はすべて 劍に 倒れ， 一人も 殘らなかった．
  2. シセラ は， カイン 人 ヘベル の 妻 ヤエル の 天幕に 走って 逃げて 來た． ハツォル の 王 ヤビン と， カイン 人 ヘベル 一族との 間は 友好的であったからである．
  3. ヤエル が 出て 來て シセラ を 迎え， 「どうぞこちらに． わたしの 主君よ， こちらにお 入りください． 御心配には 及びません 」と 言うと， 彼は 彼女に 近づいて 天幕に 入った． 彼女は 布で 彼を 覆った．
  4. シセラ が 彼女に， 「喉が 渴いた． 水を 少し 飮ませてくれ 」と 言うので， 彼女は 革袋を 開けて ミルク を 飮ませ， 彼を 覆った．
  5. シセラ は 彼女に， 「天幕の 入り 口に 立っているように． 人が 來て， ここに 誰かいるかと 尋ねれば， だれもいないと 答えてほしい 」と 言った．
  1. But Barak pursued after the chariots, and after the host, unto Harosheth of the Gentiles: and all the host of Sisera fell upon the edge of the sword; and there was not a man left.
  2. Howbeit Sisera fled away on his feet to the tent of Jael the wife of Heber the Kenite: for there was peace between Jabin the king of Hazor and the house of Heber the Kenite.
  3. And Jael went out to meet Sisera, and said unto him, Turn in, my lord, turn in to me; fear not. And when he had turned in unto her into the tent, she covered him with a mantle.
  4. And he said unto her, Give me, I pray thee, a little water to drink; for I am thirsty. And she opened a bottle of milk, and gave him drink, and covered him.
  5. Again he said unto her, Stand in the door of the tent, and it shall be, when any man doth come and enquire of thee, and say, Is there any man here? that thou shalt say, No.
  1. だが， ヘベル の 妻 ヤエル は 天幕の 釘を 取り， 槌を 手にして 彼のそばに 忍び 寄り， こめかみに 釘を 打ち ¿んだ． 釘は 地まで 突き 刺さった． 疲れきって 熟睡していた 彼は， こうして 死んだ．
  2. そこへ バラク が シセラ を 追ってやって 來た． ヤエル は 出て 來て 彼を 迎え， 「おいでください． 搜しておられる 人をお 目にかけましょう 」と 言ったので， 彼は 天幕に 入った． そこには シセラ が 倒れて 死んでおり， そのこめかみには 釘が 刺さっていた．
  3. 神はその 日， カナン の 王 ヤビン を イスラエル の 人¿の 前で 屈服させてくださった．
  4. イスラエル の 人¿の 手は， 次第に カナン の 王 ヤビン を 壓するようになり， ついに カナン の 王 ヤビン を 滅ぼすに 至った．
  1. Then Jael Heber's wife took a nail of the tent, and took an hammer in her hand, and went softly unto him, and smote the nail into his temples, and fastened it into the ground: for he was fast asleep and weary. So he died.
  2. And, behold, as Barak pursued Sisera, Jael came out to meet him, and said unto him, Come, and I will shew thee the man whom thou seekest. And when he came into her tent, behold, Sisera lay dead, and the nail was in his temples.
  3. So God subdued on that day Jabin the king of Canaan before the children of Israel.
  4. And the hand of the children of Israel prospered, and prevailed against Jabin the king of Canaan, until they had destroyed Jabin king of Canaan.
