- エフライム の 子らは 武裝し ／弓を 射る 者であったが ／鬪いの 日に， 裏切った．
- 彼らは 神との 契約を 守らず ／その 敎えに 從って 步むことを 拒み
- その 御業をことごとく 忘れた ／彼らに 示された 驚くべき 御業を．
- エジプト の 地， ツォアン の 野で ／神は 先祖に 對して 不思議な 御業を 行い
- 海を 開いて 彼らを 渡らせる 間 ／水をせきとめておかれた．

- The children of Ephraim, being armed, and carrying bows, turned back in the day of battle.
- They kept not the covenant of God, and refused to walk in his law;
- And forgat his works, and his wonders that he had shewed them.
- Marvellous things did he in the sight of their fathers, in the land of Egypt, in the field of Zoan.
- He divided the sea, and caused them to pass through; and he made the waters to stand as an heap.

- ¿は 雲をもって ／夜は 燃え 續ける 火の 光をもって 彼らを 導かれた．
- 荒れ 野では 岩を 開き ／深淵のように 豊かな 水を 飮ませてくださった．
- 岩から 流れを 引き 出されたので ／水は 大河のように 流れ 下った．
- 彼らは 重ねて 罪を 犯し ／砂漠でいと 高き 方に 反抗した．
- 心のうちに 神を 試み ／欲望のままに 食べ 物を 得ようとし

- In the daytime also he led them with a cloud, and all the night with a light of fire.
- He clave the rocks in the wilderness, and gave them drink as out of the great depths.
- He brought streams also out of the rock, and caused waters to run down like rivers.
- And they sinned yet more against him by provoking the most High in the wilderness.
- And they tempted God in their heart by asking meat for their lust.

- 神に 對してつぶやいて 言った． 「荒れ 野で 食卓を 整えることが ／神にできるのだろうか．
- 神が 岩を 打てば 水がほとばしり 出て ／川となり， 溢れ 流れるが ／民に パン を 與えることができるだろうか ／肉を 用意することができるだろうか． 」
- 主はこれを 聞いて 憤られた． 火は ヤコブ の 中に 燃え 上がり ／怒りは イスラエル の 中に 燃えさかった．
- 彼らは 神を 信じようとせず ／御救いに 依り 賴まなかった．

- Yea, they spake against God; they said, Can God furnish a table in the wilderness?
- Behold, he smote the rock, that the waters gushed out, and the streams overflowed; can he give bread also? can he provide flesh for his people?
- Therefore the LORD heard this, and was wroth: so a fire was kindled against Jacob, and anger also came up against Israel;
- Because they believed not in God, and trusted not in his salvation:
