- それにもかかわらず， 彼らはなお 罪を 犯し ／驚くべき 御業を 信じなかったので
- 神は 彼らの 生涯をひと 息のうちに ／彼らの 年月を 恐怖のうちに 斷とうとされた．
- 神が 彼らを 殺そうとされると ／彼らは 神を 求め， 立ち 歸って， 神を 搜し 求めた．
- 「神は 岩， いと 高き 神は ·い 主 」と 唱えながらも
- その 口をもって 神を 侮り ／舌をもって 欺いた．

- For all this they sinned still, and believed not for his wondrous works.
- Therefore their days did he consume in vanity, and their years in trouble.
- When he slew them, then they sought him: and they returned and enquired early after God.
- And they remembered that God was their rock, and the high God their redeemer.
- Nevertheless they did flatter him with their mouth, and they lied unto him with their tongues.

- 彼らの 心は 神に 對して 確かに 定まらず ／その 契約に 忠實ではなかった．
- しかし， 神は 憐れみ 深く， 罪を ·われる． 彼らを 滅ぼすことなく， 繰り 返し 怒りを 靜め ／憤りを 盡くされることはなかった．
- 神は 御心に 留められた ／人間は 肉にすぎず ／過ぎて 再び 歸らない 風であることを．
- どれほど 彼らは 荒れ 野で 神に 反抗し ／砂漠で 御心を 痛めたことか．
- 繰り 返し 神を 試み ／ イスラエル の 聖なる 方を 傷つけ

- For their heart was not right with him, neither were they stedfast in his covenant.
- But he, being full of compassion, forgave their iniquity, and destroyed them not: yea, many a time turned he his anger away, and did not stir up all his wrath.
- For he remembered that they were but flesh; a wind that passeth away, and cometh not again.
- How oft did they provoke him in the wilderness, and grieve him in the desert!
- Yea, they turned back and tempted God, and limited the Holy One of Israel.
