- 神は 彼らを 御自分の 聖地の 境にまで 導かれた． 右の 御手をもって 得られたその 山に．
- 彼らの 前から 諸國の 民を 追い 拂い ／彼らの 嗣業を 測り ¿で 定め ／ イスラエル の 諸部族を ／それぞれの 天幕に 住まわせられた．
- 彼らはいと 高き 神を 試み ／反抗し， その 定めを 守らず
- 先祖と 同じように 背き， 裏切り ／欺く 弓で 射た 矢のようにそれて 行き

- And he led them on safely, so that they feared not: but the sea overwhelmed their enemies.
- And he brought them to the border of his sanctuary, even to this mountain, which his right hand had purchased.
- He cast out the heathen also before them, and divided them an inheritance by line, and made the tribes of Israel to dwell in their tents.
- Yet they tempted and provoked the most high God, and kept not his testimonies:
- But turned back, and dealt unfaithfully like their fathers: they were turned aside like a deceitful bow.

- 異敎の 祭壇に 仕えて 神を 怒らせ ／偶像を 拜んで 神の 激情を 引き 起こした．
- 神は 聞いて 憤り ／ イスラエル を 全く 拒み
- シロ の 聖所， 人によって 張られた 幕屋を 捨て
- 御力の 箱がとりこになるにまかせ ／榮光の 輝きを 敵の 手に 渡された．
- 神は 御自分の 民を 劍に 渡し ／御自分の 嗣業に 怒りを 注がれた．

- For they provoked him to anger with their high places, and moved him to jealousy with their graven images.
- When God heard this, he was wroth, and greatly abhorred Israel:
- So that he forsook the tabernacle of Shiloh, the tent which he placed among men;
- And delivered his strength into captivity, and his glory into the enemy's hand.
- He gave his people over also unto the sword; and was wroth with his inheritance.

- 祭司は 劍に 倒れ ／やもめは 嘆くことすらしなかった．

- The fire consumed their young men; and their maidens were not given to marriage.
- Their priests fell by the sword; and their widows made no lamentation.
