사도행전 21:17-21:36

 예루살렘에 도착한 바울은 유대인들의 모함으로 몰매를 맞고 죽음의 위기에 놓였을 때 로마 군대 천부장에게 체포됨으로써 성난 군중들로부터 구출되었다.
  
  예루살렘으로 귀환(21:17-21:26)    
 
  1. わたしたちが エルサレム に 着くと， 兄弟たちは 喜んで 迎えてくれた．
  2. 翌日， パウロ はわたしたちを 連れて ヤコブ を 訪ねたが， そこには 長老が 皆集まっていた．
  3. パウロ は ¿¿を 濟ませてから， 自分の 奉仕を 通して 神が 異邦人の 間で 行われたことを， 詳しく 說明した．
  4. これを 聞いて， 人¿は 皆神を 贊美し， パウロ に 言った． 「兄弟よ， ご 存じのように， 幾万人もの ユダヤ 人が 信者になって， 皆熱心に 律法を 守っています．
  5. この 人たちがあなたについて 聞かされているところによると， あなたは 異邦人の 間にいる 全 ユダヤ 人に 對して， 『子供に 割禮を 施すな． 慣習に 從うな 』と 言って， モ ― セ から 離れるように 敎えているとのことです．
  1. And when we were come to Jerusalem, the brethren received us gladly.
  2. And the day following Paul went in with us unto James; and all the elders were present.
  3. And when he had saluted them, he declared particularly what things God had wrought among the Gentiles by his ministry.
  4. And when they heard it, they glorified the Lord, and said unto him, Thou seest, brother, how many thousands of Jews there are which believe; and they are all zealous of the law:
  5. And they are informed of thee, that thou teachest all the Jews which are among the Gentiles to forsake Moses, saying that they ought not to circumcise their children, neither to walk after the customs.
  1. いったい， どうしたらよいでしょうか． 彼らはあなたの 來られたことをきっと 耳にします．
  2. だから， わたしたちの 言うとおりにしてください． わたしたちの 中に 誓願を 立てた 者が 四人います．
  3. この 人たちを 連れて 行って 一緖に 身を 淸めてもらい， 彼らのために 頭をそる 費用を 出してください． そうすれば， あなたについて 聞かされていることが 根も 葉もなく， あなたは 律法を 守って 正しく 生活している， ということがみんなに 分かります．
  4. また， 異邦人で 信者になった 人たちについては， わたしたちは 旣に 手紙を 書き 送りました． それは， 偶像に 獻げた 肉と， 血と， 絞め 殺した 動物の 肉とを 口にしないように， また， みだらな 行いを 避けるようにという 決定です． 」
  5. そこで， パウロ はその 四人を 連れて 行って， 翌日一緖に 淸めの 式を 受けて 神殿に 入り， いつ 淸めの 期間が 終わって， それぞれのために 供え 物を 獻げることができるかを 告げた．
  1. What is it therefore? the multitude must needs come together: for they will hear that thou art come.
  2. Do therefore this that we say to thee: We have four men which have a vow on them;
  3. Them take, and purify thyself with them, and be at charges with them, that they may shave their heads: and all may know that those things, whereof they were informed concerning thee, are nothing; but that thou thyself also walkest orderly, and keepest the law.
  4. As touching the Gentiles which believe, we have written and concluded that they observe no such thing, save only that they keep themselves from things offered to idols, and from blood, and from strangled, and from fornication.
  5. Then Paul took the men, and the next day purifying himself with them entered into the temple, to signify the accomplishment of the days of purification, until that an offering should be offered for every one of them.
 
  바울의 체포(21:27-21:36)    
 
  1. 七日の 期間が 終わろうとしていたとき， アジア 州から 來た ユダヤ 人たちが 神殿の 境內で パウロ を 見つけ， 全群衆を 扇動して 彼を 捕らえ，
  2. こう 叫んだ． 「イスラエル の 人たち， 手傳ってくれ． この 男は， 民と 律法とこの 場所を 無視することを， 至るところでだれにでも 敎えている． その 上， ギリシア 人を 境內に 連れ ¿んで， この 聖なる 場所を 汚してしまった． 」
  3. 彼らは， エフェソ 出身の トロフィモ が 前に 都で パウロ と 一緖にいたのを 見かけたので， パウロ が 彼を 境內に 連れ ¿んだのだと 思ったからである．
  4. それで， 都全體は 大¿ぎになり， 民衆は 驅け 寄って 來て， パウロ を 捕らえ， 境內から 引きずり 出した． そして， 門はどれもすぐに 閉ざされた．
  5. 彼らが パウロ を 殺そうとしていたとき， エルサレム 中が 混亂狀態に 陷っているという 報告が， 守備大隊の 千人隊長のもとに 屆いた．
  1. And when the seven days were almost ended, the Jews which were of Asia, when they saw him in the temple, stirred up all the people, and laid hands on him,
  2. Crying out, Men of Israel, help: This is the man, that teacheth all men every where against the people, and the law, and this place: and further brought Greeks also into the temple, and hath polluted this holy place.
  3. (For they had seen before with him in the city Trophimus an Ephesian, whom they supposed that Paul had brought into the temple.)
  4. And all the city was moved, and the people ran together: and they took Paul, and drew him out of the temple: and forthwith the doors were shut.
  5. And as they went about to kill him, tidings came unto the chief captain of the band, that all Jerusalem was in an uproar.
  1. 千人隊長は 直ちに 兵士と 百人隊長を 率いて， その 場に 驅けつけた． 群衆は 千人隊長と 兵士を 見ると， パウロ を 毆るのをやめた．
  2. 千人隊長は 近寄って パウロ を 捕らえ， 二本の 鎖で 縛るように 命じた． そして， パウロ が 何者であるのか， また， 何をしたのかと 尋ねた．
  3. しかし， 群衆はあれやこれやと 叫び 立てていた． 千人隊長は， ¿¿しくて 眞相をつかむことができないので， パウロ を 兵營に 連れて 行くように 命じた．
  4. パウロ が 階段にさしかかったとき， 群衆の 暴行を 避けるために， 兵士たちは 彼を 擔いで 行かなければならなかった．
  5. 大勢の 民衆が， 「その 男を 殺してしまえ 」と 叫びながらついて 來たからである．
  1. Who immediately took soldiers and centurions, and ran down unto them: and when they saw the chief captain and the soldiers, they left beating of Paul.
  2. Then the chief captain came near, and took him, and commanded him to be bound with two chains; and demanded who he was, and what he had done.
  3. And some cried one thing, some another, among the multitude: and when he could not know the certainty for the tumult, he commanded him to be carried into the castle.
  4. And when he came upon the stairs, so it was, that he was borne of the soldiers for the violence of the people.
  5. For the multitude of the people followed after, crying, Away with him.
