- 現在の 苦しみは， 將來わたしたちに 現されるはずの 榮光に 比べると， 取るに 足りないとわたしは 思います．
- 被造物は， 神の 子たちの 現れるのを 切に 待ち 望んでいます．
- 被造物は 虛無に 服していますが， それは， 自分の 意志によるものではなく， 服從させた 方の 意志によるものであり， 同時に 希望も 持っています．
- つまり， 被造物も， いつか 滅びへの 隷屬から 解放されて， 神の 子供たちの 榮光に 輝く 自由にあずかれるからです．
- 被造物がすべて 今日まで， 共にうめき， 共に 産みの 苦しみを 味わっていることを， わたしたちは 知っています．

- For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.
- For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.
- For the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who hath subjected the same in hope,
- Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.
- For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now.

- 被造物だけでなく， “靈 ＂の 初穗をいただいているわたしたちも， 神の 子とされること， つまり， 體の ·われることを， 心の 中でうめきながら 待ち 望んでいます．
- わたしたちは， このような 希望によって 救われているのです． 見えるものに 對する 希望は 希望ではありません． 現に 見ているものをだれがなお 望むでしょうか．
- わたしたちは， 目に 見えないものを 望んでいるなら， 忍耐して 待ち 望むのです．
- 同樣に， “靈 ＂も 弱いわたしたちを 助けてくださいます． わたしたちはどう 祈るべきかを 知りませんが， “靈 ＂自らが， 言葉に 表せないうめきをもって 執り 成してくださるからです．
- 人の 心を 見拔く 方は， “靈 ＂の 思いが 何であるかを 知っておられます． “靈 ＂は， 神の 御心に 從って， 聖なる 者たちのために 執り 成してくださるからです．

- And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body.
- For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for?
- But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it.
- Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.
- And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.

- 神を 愛する 者たち， つまり， 御計畵に 從って 召された 者たちには， 万事が 益となるように 共に ¿くということを， わたしたちは 知っています．
- 神は 前もって 知っておられた 者たちを， 御子の 姿に 似たものにしようとあらかじめ 定められました． それは， 御子が 多くの 兄弟の 中で 長子となられるためです．
- 神はあらかじめ 定められた 者たちを 召し 出し， 召し 出した 者たちを 義とし， 義とされた 者たちに 榮光をお 與えになったのです．
- では， これらのことについて 何と 言ったらよいだろうか． もし 神がわたしたちの 味方であるならば， だれがわたしたちに 敵對できますか．
- わたしたちすべてのために， その 御子をさえ 惜しまず 死に 渡された 方は， 御子と 一緖にすべてのものをわたしたちに 賜らないはずがありましょうか．

- And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
- For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.
- Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.
- What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?
- He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?

- だれが 神に 選ばれた 者たちを 訴えるでしょう． 人を 義としてくださるのは 神なのです．
- だれがわたしたちを 罪に 定めることができましょう． 死んだ 方， 否， むしろ， 復活させられた 方である キリスト · イエス が， 神の 右に 座っていて， わたしたちのために 執り 成してくださるのです．
- だれが， キリスト の 愛からわたしたちを 引き 離すことができましょう． ·難か． 苦しみか． 迫害か． 飢えか． 裸か． 危險か． 劍か．
- 「わたしたちは， あなたのために ／一日中死にさらされ， ／屠られる 羊のように 見られている 」と 書いてあるとおりです．
- しかし， これらすべてのことにおいて， わたしたちは， わたしたちを 愛してくださる 方によって 輝かしい 勝利を 收めています．

- Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God's elect? It is God that justifieth.
- Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.
- Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
- As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.
- Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.

- わたしは 確信しています． 死も， 命も， 天使も， 支配するものも， 現在のものも， 未來のものも， 力あるものも，
- 高い 所にいるものも， 低い 所にいるものも， 他のどんな 被造物も， わたしたちの 主 キリスト · イエス によって 示された 神の 愛から， わたしたちを 引き 離すことはできないのです．

- For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,
- Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
