	욥기 32:1-33:33 욥의 세 친구들은 그가 끝까지 결백을 주장하자 변론을 중단하였다. 그러자 이때 엘리후가 의롭다는 욥과 그를 정죄한 세 친구들을 공박하면서 세 친구들이 욥과의 변론에서 올바른 대답을 해주지 못했다고 지적하였다. 그리고 하나님은 사람보다 크시다고 하면서, 스스로 불의가 없다고 고백한 욥의 말은 의롭지 못하다고 하였다.

	엘리후의 발언(32:1-33:33)

ここで，この三人はヨブに答えるのをやめた．ヨブが自分は正しいと確信していたからである．

さて，エリフは怒った．この人はブズ出身でラム族のバラクエルの子である．ヨブが神よりも自分の方が正しいと主張するので，彼は怒った．

また，ヨブの三人の友人が，ヨブに罪のあることを示す適切な反論を見いだせなかったので，彼らに對しても怒った．

彼らが皆，年長だったので，エリフはヨブに話しかけるのを控えていたが，

この三人の口から何の反論も出ないのを見たので怒ったのである．

So these three men ceased to answer Job, because he was righteous in his own eyes.

Then was kindled the wrath of Elihu the son of Barachel the Buzite, of the kindred of Ram: against Job was his wrath kindled, because he justified himself rather than God.

Also against his three friends was his wrath kindled, because they had found no answer, and yet had condemned Job.

Now Elihu had waited till Job had spoken, because they were elder than he.

When Elihu saw that there was no answer in the mouth of these three men, then his wrath was kindled.

ブズ人バラクエルの子，エリフは言った．わたしは若く／あなたたちは年をとっておられる．だからわたしは遠慮し／わたしの意見をあえて言わなかった．

日數がものを言い／年數が知惠を授けると思っていた．

しかし，人の中には靈があり／悟りを與えるのは全能者の息吹なのだ．

日を重ねれば賢くなるというのではなく／老人になればふさわしい分別ができるのでもない．

それゆえ，わたしの言うことも聞いてほしい．わたしの意見を述べてみたいと思う．

And Elihu the son of Barachel the Buzite answered and said, I am young, and ye are very old; wherefore I was afraid, and durst not shew you mine opinion.

I said, Days should speak, and multitude of years should teach wisdom.

But there is a spirit in man: and the inspiration of the Almighty giveth them understanding.

Great men are not always wise: neither do the aged understand judgment.

Therefore I said, Hearken to me; I also will shew mine opinion.

わたしはあなたたちの言葉を待ち／その考えに耳を傾け／言葉を盡くして論じるのを聞き

その論據を理解しようとした．だが，あなたたちの中にはヨブを言い伏せ／彼の言葉に反論しうる者がない．

「いい知惠がある．彼を負かすのは神であって人ではないと言おう」などと考えるべきではない．

ヨブはわたしに對して議論したのではないが／わたしはあなたたちのような論法で／答えようとは思わない．

彼らは氣を挫かれて，答えようとせず／言うべき言葉を失っている．

Behold, I waited for your words; I gave ear to your reasons, whilst ye searched out what to say.

Yea, I attended unto you, and, behold, there was none of you that convinced Job, or that answered his words:

Lest ye should say, We have found out wisdom: God thrusteth him down, not man.

Now he hath not directed his words against me: neither will I answer him with your speeches.

They were amazed, they answered no more: they left off speaking.

わたしは待ったが，彼らは語らず／行き詰まり，もう答えようとしない．

それならわたしが／自分の言い分を述べさせてもらおう．わたしの意見を言わせてもらおう．

言いたいことはたくさんある．腹の內で靈がわたしを驅り立てている．

見よ，わたしの腹は封じられたぶどう酒の袋／新しい酒で張り裂けんばかりの革袋のようだ．

わたしも話して，氣持を靜めたい．唇を開いて，答えたい．

When I had waited, (for they spake not, but stood still, and answered no more;)

I said, I will answer also my part, I also will shew mine opinion.

For I am full of matter, the spirit within me constraineth me.

Behold, my belly is as wine which hath no vent; it is ready to burst like new bottles.

I will speak, that I may be refreshed: I will open my lips and answer.

いや，わたしはだれの顔を立てようともしない．人間にへつらうことはしたくない．

氣づかずにへつらうようなことを言ったら／どうか造り主が／直ちにわたしを退けてくださるように．

Let me not, I pray you, accept any man's person, neither let me give flattering titles unto man.

For I know not to give flattering titles; in so doing my maker would soon take me away.

さてヨブよ，わたしの言葉を聞き／わたしの言うことによく耳を傾けよ．

見よ，わたしは口を開き／舌は口の中で動き始める．

わたしの言葉はわたしの心を率直に表し／唇は知っていることをはっきりと語る．

神の靈がわたしを造り／全能者の息吹がわたしに命を與えたのだ．

答えられるなら，答えてみよ．備えをして，わたしの前に立て．

Wherefore, Job, I pray thee, hear my speeches, and hearken to all my words.

Behold, now I have opened my mouth, my tongue hath spoken in my mouth.

My words shall be of the uprightness of my heart: and my lips shall utter knowledge clearly.

The spirit of God hath made me, and the breath of the Almighty hath given me life.

If thou canst answer me, set thy words in order before me, stand up.

神の前では，わたしもあなたと同じように／土から取られたひとかけらのものにすぎない．

見よ，わたしには脅かすような威力はない．あなたを押さえつけようとしているのではない．

あなたが話すのはわたしの耳に入り／聲も言葉もわたしは聞いた．

「わたしは潔白で，罪を犯していない．わたしは淸く，とがめられる理由はない．

それでも神はわたしに對する不滿を見いだし／わたしを敵視される．

Behold, I am according to thy wish in God's stead: I also am formed out of the clay.

Behold, my terror shall not make thee afraid, neither shall my hand be heavy upon thee.

Surely thou hast spoken in mine hearing, and I have heard the voice of thy words, saying,

I am clean without transgression, I am innocent; neither is there iniquity in me.

Behold, he findeth occasions against me, he counteth me for his enemy,

わたしに足枷をはめ／行く道を見張っておられる．」

ここにあなたの過ちがある，と言おう．神は人間よりも强くいます．

なぜ，あなたは神と爭おうとするのか．神はそのなさることを／いちいち說明されない．

神は一つのことによって語られ／また，二つのことによって語られるが／人はそれに氣がつかない．

人が深い眠りに包まれ，橫たわって眠ると／夢の中で，夜の幻の中で

He putteth my feet in the stocks, he marketh all my paths.

Behold, in this thou art not just: I will answer thee, that God is greater than man.

Why dost thou strive against him? for he giveth not account of any of his matters.

For God speaketh once, yea twice, yet man perceiveth it not.

In a dream, in a vision of the night, when deep sleep falleth upon men, in slumberings upon the bed;

神は人の耳を開き／懲らしめの言葉を封じ ¿められる．

人が行いを改め，誇りを抑え

こうして，その魂が滅亡を免れ／命が死の川を渡らずに濟むようにされる．

苦痛に責められて橫たわる人があるとする．骨のうずきは絶えることなく

命はパンをいとい／魂は好みの食べ物をすらいとう．

Then he openeth the ears of men, and sealeth their instruction,

That he may withdraw man from his purpose, and hide pride from man.

He keepeth back his soul from the pit, and his life from perishing by the sword.

He is chastened also with pain upon his bed, and the multitude of his bones with strong pain:

So that his life abhorreth bread, and his soul dainty meat.

肉は消耗して見えなくなり／見えなㄱ ㆂ伸 덩�엑��着

魂は滅亡に／命はそれを奪うものに近づいてゆく．

千人に一人でもこの人のために執り成し／その正しさを示すために／遣わされる御使いがあり

彼を憐れんで／「この人を免除し，滅亡に落とさないでください．代償を見つけて來ました」と言ってくれるなら

彼の肉は新しくされて／若者よりも健やかになり／再び若いときのようになるであろう．

His flesh is consumed away, that it cannot be seen; and his bones that were not seen stick out.

Yea, his soul draweth near unto the grave, and his life to the destroyers.

If there be a messenger with him, an interpreter, one among a thousand, to shew unto man his uprightness:

Then he is gracious unto him, and saith, Deliver him from going down to the pit: I have found a ransom.

His flesh shall be fresher than a child's: he shall return to the days of his youth:

彼は神に祈って受け入れられ／歡びの叫びの內に御顔を仰ぎ／再び神はこの人を正しいと認められるであろう．

彼は人¿の前でたたえて歌うであろう．「わたしは罪を犯し／正しいことを曲げた．それはわたしのなすべきことではなかった．

しかし神はわたしの魂を滅亡から救い出された．わたしは命を得て光を仰ぐ」と．

まことに神はこのようになさる．人間のために，二度でも三度でも．

その魂を滅亡から呼び戾し／命の光に輝かせてくださる．

He shall pray unto God, and he will be favourable unto him: and he shall see his face with joy: for he will render unto man his righteousness.

He looketh upon men, and if any say, I have sinned, and perverted that which was right, and it profited me not;

He will deliver his soul from going into the pit, and his life shall see the light.

Lo, all these things worketh God oftentimes with man,

To bring back his soul from the pit, to be enlightened with the light of the living.

ヨブよ，耳を傾けて／わたしの言うことを聞け．沈默せよ，わたしに語らせよ．

わたしに答えて言うことがあるなら，語れ．正しい主張を聞くのがわたしの望みだ．

言うことがなければ，耳を傾けよ．沈默せよ，わたしがあなたに知惠を示そう．

Mark well, O Job, hearken unto me: hold thy peace, and I will speak.

If thou hast anything to say, answer me: speak, for I desire to justify thee.

If not, hearken unto me: hold thy peace, and I shall teach thee wisdom.
