- 子供たち， 主に 結ばれている 者として 兩親に 從いなさい． それは 正しいことです．
- 「父と 母を 敬いなさい． 」これは 約束を 伴う 最初の ¿です．
- 「そうすれば， あなたは 幸福になり， 地上で 長く 生きることができる 」という 約束です．
- 父親たち， 子供を 怒らせてはなりません． 主がしつけ 諭されるように， 育てなさい．
- 奴隷たち， キリスト に 從うように， 恐れおののき， 眞心を ¿めて， 肉による 主人に 從いなさい．

- Children, obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right.
- Honour thy father and mother; which is the first commandment with promise;
- That it may be well with thee, and thou mayest live long on the earth.
- And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.
- Servants, be obedient to them that are your masters according to the flesh, with fear and trembling, in singleness of your heart, as unto Christ;

- 人にへつらおうとして， うわべだけで 仕えるのではなく， キリスト の 奴隷として， 心から 神の 御心を 行い，
- 人にではなく 主に 仕えるように， 喜んで 仕えなさい．
- あなたがたも 知っているとおり， 奴隷であっても 自由な 身分の 者であっても， 善いことを 行えば， だれでも 主から 報いを 受けるのです．
- 主人たち， 同じように 奴隷を 扱いなさい． 彼らを 脅すのはやめなさい． あなたがたも 知っているとおり， 彼らにもあなたがたにも 同じ 主人が 天におられ， 人を 分け 隔てなさらないのです．
- 最後に 言う． 主に 依り 賴み， その 偉大な 力によって 强くなりなさい．

- Not with eyeservice, as menpleasers; but as the servants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart;
- With good will doing service, as to the Lord, and not to men:
- Knowing that whatsoever good thing any man doeth, the same shall he receive of the Lord, whether he be bond or free.
- And, ye masters, do the same things unto them, forbearing threatening: knowing that your Master also is in heaven; neither is there respect of persons with him.
- Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.

- 惡魔の 策略に 對抗して 立つことができるように， 神の 武具を 身に 着けなさい．
- わたしたちの 戰いは， 血肉を 相手にするものではなく， 支配と 權威， 暗闇の 世界の 支配者， 天にいる 惡の 諸靈を 相手にするものなのです．
- だから， 邪惡な 日によく 抵抗し， すべてを 成し 遂げて， しっかりと 立つことができるように， 神の 武具を 身に 着けなさい．
- 立って， 眞理を 帶として 腰に 締め， 正義を 胸當てとして 着け，
- 平和の 福音を 告げる 準備を 履物としなさい．

- Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
- For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
- Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
- Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;
- And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;

- なおその 上に， 信仰を 盾として 取りなさい． それによって， 惡い 者の 放つ 火の 矢をことごとく 消すことができるのです．
- また， 救いを 兜としてかぶり， 靈の 劍， すなわち 神の 言葉を 取りなさい．
- どのような 時にも， “靈 ＂に 助けられて 祈り， 願い 求め， すべての 聖なる 者たちのために， 絶えず 目を 覺まして 根氣よく 祈り 續けなさい．
- また， わたしが 適切な 言葉を 用いて 話し， 福音の 神秘を 大膽に 示すことができるように， わたしのためにも 祈ってください．
- わたしはこの 福音の 使者として 鎖につながれていますが， それでも， 語るべきことは 大膽に 話せるように， 祈ってください．

- Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
- And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:
- Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;
- And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel,
- For which I am an ambassador in bonds: that therein I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.

- わたしがどういう 樣子でいるか， また， 何をしているか， あなたがたにも 知ってもらうために， ティキコ がすべて 話すことでしょう． 彼は 主に 結ばれた， 愛する 兄弟であり， 忠實に 仕える 者です．
- 彼をそちらに 送るのは， あなたがたがわたしたちの 樣子を 知り， 彼から 心に 勵ましを 得るためなのです．

- But that ye also may know my affairs, and how I do, Tychicus, a beloved brother and faithful minister in the Lord, shall make known to you all things:
- Whom I have sent unto you for the same purpose, that ye might know our affairs, and that he might comfort your hearts.
- Peace be to the brethren, and love with faith, from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
- Grace be with all them that love our Lord Jesus Christ in sincerity. Amen.
