	예레미야 3:1-4:31 하나님께서는 하나님을 떠나 우상을 숭배한 유다가 회개하고 돌아오면 그들을 용서하시고 복 주시겠다고 말씀하셨다. 그러나 유다는 이를 거부하고 회개하지 않아 하나님의 재앙을 초래하였다. 예레미야는 묵시를 통해, 임박한 재앙의 모습을 보고 슬퍼하였다.

	회개 촉구(3:1-3:25)

もし人がその妻を出し／彼女が彼のもとを去って／他の男のものとなれば／前の夫は彼女のもとに戾るだろうか．その地は汚れてしまうではないか．お前は多くの男と淫行にふけったのに／わたしに戾ろうと言うのかと／主は言われる．

目を上げて裸の山¿を見よ／お前が男に抱かれなかった所があろうか．荒れ野でアラビア人が座っているように／お前は道端に座って彼らを待つ．淫行の惡によってお前はこの地を汚した．

雨がとどめられ／春の雨も降らなかったのはそのためだ．お前には遊女の額があり／少しも恥じようとしない．

「あなたは，わが父，わたしの若い日の夫」と／お前がわたしに呼びかけるのは／今が初めてだろうか．

「主はいつまでも憤り／限りなく怒り續けるだろうか」と／お前は言いながら惡を重ねる．それでもお前は平氣だ．

They say, If a man put away his wife, and she go from him, and become another man's, shall he return unto her again? shall not that land be greatly polluted? but thou hast played the harlot with many lovers; yet return again to me, saith the LORD.

Lift up thine eyes unto the high places, and see where thou hast not been lien with. In the ways hast thou sat for them, as the Arabian in the wilderness; and thou hast polluted the land with thy whoredoms and with thy wickedness.

Therefore the showers have been withholden, and there hath been no latter rain; and thou hadst a whore's forehead, thou refusedst to be ashamed.

Wilt thou not from this time cry unto me, My father, thou art the guide of my youth?

Will he reserve his anger for ever? will he keep it to the end? Behold, thou hast spoken and done evil things as thou couldest.

ヨシヤ王の時代に，主はわたしに言われた．あなたは背信の女イスラエルのしたことを見たか．彼女は高い山の上，茂る木の下のどこにでも行って淫行にふけった．

彼女がこのようなことをしたあとにもなお，わたしは言った．「わたしに立ち歸れ」と．しかし，彼女は立ち歸らなかった．その姉妹である裏切りの女ユダはそれを見た．

背信の女イスラエルが姦淫したのを見て，わたしは彼女を離別し，離緣狀を渡した．しかし，裏切りの女であるその姉妹ユダは恐れるどころか，その淫行を續けた．

彼女は輕薄にも淫行を繰り返して地を汚し，また石や木と姦淫している．

そればかりでなく，その姉妹である裏切りの女ユダは眞心からわたしに立ち歸ろうとせず，僞っているだけだ，と主は言われる．

The LORD said also unto me in the days of Josiah the king, Hast thou seen that which backsliding Israel hath done? she is gone up upon every high mountain and under every green tree, and there hath played the harlot.

And I said after she had done all these things, Turn thou unto me. But she returned not. And her treacherous sister Judah saw it.

And I saw, when for all the causes whereby backsliding Israel committed adultery I had put her away, and given her a bill of divorce; yet her treacherous sister Judah feared not, but went and played the harlot also.

And it came to pass through the lightness of her whoredom, that she defiled the land, and committed adultery with stones and with stocks.

And yet for all this her treacherous sister Judah hath not turned unto me with her whole heart, but feignedly, saith the LORD.

主はわたしに言われる．裏切りの女ユダに比べれば，背信の女イスラエルは正しかった．

行け，これらの言葉をもって北に呼びかけよ．背信の女イスラエルよ，立ち歸れと／主は言われる．わたしはお前に怒りの顔を向けない．わたしは慈しみ深く／とこしえに怒り續ける者ではないと／主は言われる．

ただ，お前の犯した罪を認めよ．お前は，お前の主なる神に背き／どこにでも茂る木があれば，その下で／他國の男たちと亂れた行いをし／わたしの聲に聞き從わなかったと／主は言われる．

背信の子らよ，立ち歸れ，と主は言われる．わたしこそあなたたちの主である．一つの町から一人，一つの氏族から二人ではあるが，わたしはあなたたちを連れてシオンに行こう．

わたしはあなたたちに，心にかなう牧者たちを與える．彼らは賢く，巧みに導く．

And the LORD said unto me, The backsliding Israel hath justified herself more than treacherous Judah.

Go and proclaim these words toward the north, and say, Return, thou backsliding Israel, saith the LORD; and I will not cause mine anger to fall upon you: for I am merciful, saith the LORD, and I will not keep anger for ever.

Only acknowledge thine iniquity, that thou hast transgressed against the LORD thy God, and hast scattered thy ways to the strangers under every green tree, and ye have not obeyed my voice, saith the LORD.

Turn, O backsliding children, saith the LORD; for I am married unto you: and I will take you one of a city, and two of a family, and I will bring you to Zion:

And I will give you pastors according to mine heart, which shall feed you with knowledge and understanding.

あなたたちがこの地で大いに增えるとき，その日には，と主は言われる．人¿はもはや，主の契約の箱について語らず，心に浮かべることも，思い起こすこともない．求めることも，作ることももはやない．

わたしは思っていた．「子らの中でも，お前には何をしようか．お前に望ましい土地／あらゆる國の中で／最も麗しい地を繼がせよう」と．そして，思った．「わが父と，お前はわたしを呼んでいる．わたしから離れることはあるまい」と．

だが，妻が夫を欺くように／イスラエルの家よ，お前はわたしを欺いたと／主は言われる．

And it shall come to pass, when ye be multiplied and increased in the land, in those days, saith the LORD, they shall say no more, The ark of the covenant of the LORD: neither shall it come to mind: neither shall they remember it; neither shall they visit it; neither shall that be done any more.

At that time they shall call Jerusalem the throne of the LORD; and all the nations shall be gathered unto it, to the name of the LORD, to Jerusalem: neither shall they walk any more after the imagination of their evil heart.

In those days the house of Judah shall walk with the house of Israel, and they shall come together out of the land of the north to the land that I have given for an inheritance unto your fathers.

But I said, How shall I put thee among the children, and give thee a pleasant land, a goodly heritage of the hosts of nations? and I said, Thou shalt call me, My father; and shalt not turn away from me.

Surely as a wife treacherously departeth from her husband, so have ye dealt treacherously with me, O house of Israel, saith the LORD.

裸の山¿に聲が聞こえる／イスラエルの子らの嘆き訴える聲が．彼らはその道を曲げ／主なる神を忘れたからだ．

「背信の子らよ，立ち歸れ．わたしは背いたお前たちをいやす．」「我¿はあなたのもとに參ります．あなたこそ我¿の主なる神です．

まことに，どの丘の祭りも／山¿での ¿ぎも僞りにすぎません．まことに，我¿の主なる神に／イスラエルの救いがあるのです．

我¿の若いときから／恥ずべきバアルが食い盡くしてきました／先祖たちが勞して得たものを／その羊，牛，息子，娘らを．

我¿は恥の中に橫たわり／辱めに覆われています．我¿は主なる神に罪を犯しました．我¿も，先祖も／若いときから今日に至るまで／主なる神の御聲に聞き從いませんでした．」

A voice was heard upon the high places, weeping and supplications of the children of Israel: for they have perverted their way, and they have forgotten the LORD their God.

Return, ye backsliding children, and I will heal your backslidings. Behold, we come unto thee; for thou art the LORD our God.

Truly in vain is salvation hoped for from the hills, and from the multitude of mountains: truly in the LORD our God is the salvation of Israel.

For shame hath devoured the labour of our fathers from our youth; their flocks and their herds, their sons and their daughters.

We lie down in our shame, and our confusion covereth us: for we have sinned against the LORD our God, we and our fathers, from our youth even unto this day, and have not obeyed the voice of the LORD our God.

	재난 예고(4:1-4:31)

「立ち歸れ，イスラエルよ」と／主は言われる．「わたしのもとに立ち歸れ．呪うべきものをわたしの前から捨て去れ．そうすれば，再び迷い出ることはない．」

もし，あなたが眞實と公平と正義をもって／「主は生きておられる」と誓うなら／諸國の民は，あなたを通して祝福を受け／あなたを誇りとする．

まことに，主はユダの人，エルサレムの人に／向かって，こう言われる．「あなたたちの耕作地を開拓せよ．茨の中に種を蒔くな．

ユダの人，エルサレムに住む人¿よ／割禮を受けて主のものとなり／あなたたちの心の包皮を取り去れ．さもなければ，あなたたちの惡行のゆえに／わたしの怒りは火のように發して燃え廣がり／消す者はないであろう．」

ユダに知らせよ，エルサレムに告げて言え．國中に角笛を吹き鳴らし，大聲で叫べ／そして言え．「集まって，城塞に逃れよう．

If thou wilt return, O Israel, saith the LORD, return unto me: and if thou wilt put away thine abominations out of my sight, then shalt thou not remove.

And thou shalt swear, The LORD liveth, in truth, in judgment, and in righteousness; and the nations shall bless themselves in him, and in him shall they glory.

For thus saith the LORD to the men of Judah and Jerusalem, Break up your fallow ground, and sow not among thorns.

Circumcise yourselves to the LORD, and take away the foreskins of your heart, ye men of Judah and inhabitants of Jerusalem: lest my fury come forth like fire, and burn that none can quench it, because of the evil of your doings.

Declare ye in Judah, and publish in Jerusalem; and say, Blow ye the trumpet in the land: cry, gather together, and say, Assemble yourselves, and let us go into the defenced cities.

シオンに向かって旗を揚げよ．避難せよ，足を止めるな」と．わたしは北から災いを／大いなる破壞をもたらす．

獅子はその茂みを後にして上り／諸國の民を滅ぼす者は出陣した．あなたの國を荒廢させるため／彼は自分の國を出た．あなたの町¿は滅ぼされ，住む者はいなくなる．

それゆえに，粗布をまとい／嘆き，泣き叫べ．主の激しい怒りは我¿を去らない．

その日が來れば，と主は言われる．王も高官も勇氣を失い／祭司は心挫け，預言者はひるみ

言うであろう．「ああ，主なる神よ．まことに，あなたはこの民とエルサレムを／欺かれました．『あなたたちに平和が訪れる』と約束されたのに／劍が喉もとに突きつけられています．」

Set up the standard toward Zion: retire, stay not: for I will bring evil from the north, and a great destruction.

The lion is come up from his thicket, and the destroyer of the Gentiles is on his way; he is gone forth from his place to make thy land desolate; and thy cities shall be laid waste, without an inhabitant.

For this gird you with sackcloth, lament and howl: for the fierce anger of the LORD is not turned back from us.

And it shall come to pass at that day, saith the LORD, that the heart of the king shall perish, and the heart of the princes; and the priests shall be astonished, and the prophets shall wonder.

Then said I, Ah, Lord GOD! surely thou hast greatly deceived this people and Jerusalem, saying, Ye shall have peace; whereas the sword reacheth unto the soul.

そのときには，この民とエルサレムに告げられる．「荒れ野から裸の山¿の熱風が／わが民の娘に向かって吹きつける．ふるい分ける風でも，淸める風でもない．

それにまさる激しい風が／わたしのもとから吹きつける．今やわたしは彼らに裁きを下す．」

見よ，それは雲のように攻め上る．その戰車はつむじ風のよう／その馬は鷲よりも速い．ああ，災いだ．我¿は荒らし盡くされる．

エルサレムよ／あなたの心の惡を洗い去って救われよ．いつまで，あなたはその胸に／よこしまな思いを宿しているのか．

聞け，災いをダンから告げ／エフライムの山から知らせる聲を．

At that time shall it be said to this people and to Jerusalem, A dry wind of the high places in the wilderness toward the daughter of my people, not to fan, nor to cleanse,

Even a full wind from those places shall come unto me: now also will I give sentence against them.

Behold, he shall come up as clouds, and his chariots shall be as a whirlwind: his horses are swifter than eagles. Woe unto us! for we are spoiled.

O Jerusalem, wash thine heart from wickedness, that thou mayest be saved. How long shall thy vain thoughts lodge within thee?

For a voice declareth from Dan, and publisheth affliction from mount Ephraim.

諸國の民にこれを告げ／エルサレムに知らせよ．「包圍する者が遠い國から押し寄せ／ユダの町に向かって戰いの喚聲をあげ

畑の見張りのように彼らを包圍する．ユダがわたしに背いたからだ」と主は言われる．

あなたの道，あなたの仕業が／これらのことをもたらす．これはあなたの犯した惡であり／まことに苦く，そして心臟にまで達する．

わたしのはらわたよ，はらわたよ．わたしはもだえる．心臟の壁よ，わたしの心臟は呻く．わたしは默していられない．わたしの魂は，角笛の響き，勘の聲を聞く．

「破壞に次ぐ破壞」と人¿は叫ぶ．大地はすべて荒らし盡くされる．瞬く間にわたしの天幕が／一瞬のうちに，その幕が荒らし盡くされる．

Make ye mention to the nations; behold, publish against Jerusalem, that watchers come from a far country, and give out their voice against the cities of Judah.

As keepers of a field, are they against her round about; because she hath been rebellious against me, saith the LORD.

Thy way and thy doings have procured these things unto thee; this is thy wickedness, because it is bitter, because it reacheth unto thine heart.

My bowels, my bowels! I am pained at my very heart; my heart maketh a noise in me; I cannot hold my peace, because thou hast heard, O my soul, the sound of the trumpet, the alarm of war.

Destruction upon destruction is cried; for the whole land is spoiled: suddenly are my tents spoiled, and my curtains in a moment.

いつまで，わたしは旗を見／角笛の響きを聞かねばならないのか．

まことに，わたしの民は無知だ．わたしを知ろうとせず／愚かな子らで，分別がない．惡を行うことにさとく／善を行うことを知らない．

わたしは見た．見よ，大地は混沌とし／空には光がなかった．

わたしは見た．見よ，山は ¿れ動き／すべての丘は震えていた．

わたしは見た．見よ，人はうせ／空の鳥はことごとく逃げ去っていた．

How long shall I see the standard, and hear the sound of the trumpet?

For my people is foolish, they have not known me; they are sottish children, and they have none understanding: they are wise to do evil, but to do good they have no knowledge.

I beheld the earth, and, lo, it was without form, and void; and the heavens, and they had no light.

I beheld the mountains, and, lo, they trembled, and all the hills moved lightly.

I beheld, and, lo, there was no man, and all the birds of the heavens were fled.

わたしは見た．見よ，實り豊かな地は荒れ野に變わり／町¿はことごとく，主の御前に／主の激しい怒りによって打ち倒されていた．

まことに，主はこう言われる．「大地はすべて荒れ果てる．しかし，わたしは滅ぼし盡くしはしない．

それゆえ，地は喪に服し／上なる天は嘆く．わたしは定めたことを告げ／決して後悔せず，決してこれを變えない．」

騎兵や射手の叫びに，都を擧げて逃げ去り／茂みに隱れ，岩に登る．都は全く見捨てられ／だれひとりとどまる者はない．

辱められた女よ，何をしているのか．緋の衣をまとい，金の飾りを着け／目の緣を黑く塗り，美しく裝ってもむなしい．愛人らはお前を退け，お前の命を奪おうとする．

I beheld, and, lo, the fruitful place was a wilderness, and all the cities thereof were broken down at the presence of the LORD, and by his fierce anger.

For thus hath the LORD said, The whole land shall be desolate; yet will I not make a full end.

For this shall the earth mourn, and the heavens above be black; because I have spoken it, I have purposed it, and will not repent, neither will I turn back from it.

The whole city shall flee for the noise of the horsemen and bowmen; they shall go into thickets, and climb up upon the rocks: every city shall be forsaken, and not a man dwell therein.

And when thou art spoiled, what wilt thou do? Though thou clothest thyself with crimson, though thou deckest thee with ornaments of gold, though thou rentest thy face with painting, in vain shalt thou make thyself fair; thy lovers will despise thee, they will seek thy life.

まことに，産みの苦しみのような聲が聞こえる．初めて子供を産む女のような苦しみの聲が／あえぎながら手を伸べる娘シオンの聲が．「ああ，殺そうとする者の前に／わたしは氣を失う．」

For I have heard a voice as of a woman in travail, and the anguish as of her that bringeth forth her first child, the voice of the daughter of Zion, that bewaileth herself, that spreadeth her hands, saying, Woe is me now! for my soul is wearied because of murderers.
