- わが 子よ， わたしの 言うことを 守り ／戒めを 心に 納めよ．
- 戒めを 守って， 命を 得よ． わたしの 敎えを 瞳のように 守れ．
- それをあなたの 指に 結び， 心の 中の 板に 書き 記せ．
- 知惠に「あなたはわたしの 姉妹 」と 言い ／分別に「わたしの 友 」と 呼びかけよ．
- それはあなたをよその 女から ／滑らかに 話す 異邦の 女から 守ってくれる．

- My son, keep my words, and lay up my commandments with thee.
- Keep my commandments, and live; and my law as the apple of thine eye.
- Bind them upon thy fingers, write them upon the table of thine heart.
- Say unto wisdom, Thou art my sister; and call understanding thy kinswoman:
- That they may keep thee from the strange woman, from the stranger which flattereth with her words.
