- 淺はかな 者らが 見えたが， 中に 一人 ／意志の 弱そうな 若者がいるのに 氣づいた．
- 通りを 過ぎ， 女の 家の 角に 來ると ／そちらに 向かって 步いて 行った．
- 日暮れ 時の 薄闇の 中を， 夜半の 闇に 向かって．
- 見よ， 女が 彼を 迎える． 遊女になりきった， 本心を 見せない 女．

- For at the window of my house I looked through my casement,
- And beheld among the simple ones, I discerned among the youths, a young man void of understanding,
- Passing through the street near her corner; and he went the way to her house,
- In the twilight, in the evening, in the black and dark night:
- And, behold, there met him a woman with the attire of an harlot, and subtil of heart.

- ¿¿しく， わがままで ／自分の 家に 足の 落ち 着くことがない．
- 街に 出たり， 廣場に 行ったり ／あちこちの 角で 待ち 構えている．
- 彼女は 若者をつかまえると 接吻し ／厚かましくも， こう 言った．
- 「和解の 獻げ 物をする 義務があったのですが ／今日は 滿願の 供え 物も 濟ませました．
- それで， お 迎えに 出たのです． あなたのお 顔を 搜し 求めて， やっと 會えました．

- Now is she without, now in the streets, and lieth in wait at every corner.)
- So she caught him, and kissed him, and with an impudent face said unto him,
- I have peace offerings with me; this day have I payed my vows.
- Therefore came I forth to meet thee, diligently to seek thy face, and I have found thee.

- 寢床には 敷物を 敷きました ／ エジプト の 色絲で 織った 布を．
- 床には ミルラ の 香りをまきました ／ アロエ や シナモン も．
- さあ， 愛し 合って 樂しみ ／朝まで 愛を 交わして 滿ち 足りましょう．
- 夫は 家にいないのです， 遠くへ 旅立ちました．
- 手に 銀貨の 袋を 持って 行きましたから ／滿月になるまでは 歸らないでしょう． 」

- I have decked my bed with coverings of tapestry, with carved works, with fine linen of Egypt.
- I have perfumed my bed with myrrh, aloes, and cinnamon.
- Come, let us take our fill of love until the morning: let us solace ourselves with loves.
- For the goodman is not at home, he is gone a long journey:
- He hath taken a bag of money with him, and will come home at the day appointed.

- あなたの 心を 彼女への 道に 通わすな． 彼女の 道に 迷い ¿むな．
