- 永遠の 昔， わたしは 祝別されていた． 太初， 大地に 先立って．
- わたしは 生み 出されていた ／深淵も 水のみなぎる 源も， まだ 存在しないとき．
- 山¿の 基も 据えられてはおらず， 丘もなかったが ／わたしは 生み 出されていた．
- 大地も 野も， 地上の 最初の 塵も ／まだ 造られていなかった．

- The LORD possessed me in the beginning of his way, before his works of old.
- I was set up from everlasting, from the beginning, or ever the earth was.
- When there were no depths, I was brought forth; when there were no fountains abounding with water.
- Before the mountains were settled, before the hills was I brought forth:
- While as yet he had not made the earth, nor the fields, nor the highest part of the dust of the world.

- わたしはそこにいた ／主が 天をその 位置に 備え ／深淵の 面に 輪を 描いて 境界とされたとき
- 主が 上から 雲に 力をもたせ ／深淵の 源に 勢いを 與えられたとき
- この 原始の 海に 境界を 定め ／水が 岸を 越えないようにし ／大地の 基を 定められたとき．
- 御もとにあって， わたしは 巧みな 者となり ／日¿， 主を 樂しませる 者となって ／絶えず 主の 御前で 樂を 奏し
- 主の 造られたこの 地上の 人¿と 共に 樂を 奏し ／人の 子らと 共に 樂しむ．

- When he prepared the heavens, I was there: when he set a compass upon the face of the depth:
- When he established the clouds above: when he strengthened the fountains of the deep:
- When he gave to the sea his decree, that the waters should not pass his commandment: when he appointed the foundations of the earth:
- Then I was by him, as one brought up with him: and I was daily his delight, rejoicing always before him;
- Rejoicing in the habitable part of his earth; and my delights were with the sons of men.
