- だから， 聖靈がこう 言われるとおりです． 「今日， あなたたちが 神の 聲を 聞くなら，
- 荒れ 野で 試練を 受けたころ， ／神に 反抗したときのように， ／心をかたくなにしてはならない．
- -10 荒れ 野であなたたちの 先祖は ／わたしを 試み， 驗し， ／四十年の 間わたしの 業を 見た． だから， わたしは， その 時代の 者たちに 對して ／憤ってこう 言った． 『彼らはいつも 心が 迷っており， ／わたしの 道を 認めなかった． 』

- そのため， わたしは 怒って 誓った． 『彼らを 決してわたしの 安息に ／あずからせはしない 』と． 」

- Wherefore (as the Holy Ghost saith, To day if ye will hear his voice,
- Harden not your hearts, as in the provocation, in the day of temptation in the wilderness:
- When your fathers tempted me, proved me, and saw my works forty years.
- Wherefore I was grieved with that generation, and said, They do alway err in their heart; and they have not known my ways.
- So I sware in my wrath, They shall not enter into my rest.)

- 兄弟たち， あなたがたのうちに， 信仰のない 惡い 心を 抱いて， 生ける 神から 離れてしまう 者がないように 注意しなさい．
- あなたがたのうちだれ 一人， 罪に 惑わされてかたくなにならないように， 「今日 」という 日のうちに， 日¿勵まし 合いなさい． ――
- わたしたちは， 最初の 確信を 最後までしっかりと 持ち 續けるなら， キリスト に 連なる 者となるのです． ――
- それについては， 次のように 言われています． 「今日， あなたたちが 神の 聲を 聞くなら， ／神に 反抗したときのように， ／心をかたくなにしてはならない． 」
- いったいだれが， 神の 聲を 聞いたのに， 反抗したのか． モ ― セ を 指導者として エジプト を 出たすべての 者ではなかったか．

- Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God.
- But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.
- For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end;
- While it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts, as in the provocation.
- For some, when they had heard, did provoke: howbeit not all that came out of Egypt by Moses.

- いったいだれに 對して， 神は 四十年間憤られたのか． 罪を 犯して， 死骸を 荒れ 野にさらした 者に 對してではなかったか．
- いったいだれに 對して， 御自分の 安息にあずからせはしないと， 誓われたのか． 從わなかった 者に 對してではなかったか．
- このようにして， 彼らが 安息にあずかることができなかったのは， 不信仰のせいであったことがわたしたちに 分かるのです．

- But with whom was he grieved forty years? was it not with them that had sinned, whose carcases fell in the wilderness?
- And to whom sware he that they should not enter into his rest, but to them that believed not?
- So we see that they could not enter in because of unbelief.
