- さて， 最初の 契約にも， 禮拜の 規定と 地上の 聖所とがありました．
- すなわち， 第一の 幕屋が 設けられ， その 中には 燭台， 机， そして 供え 物の パン が 置かれていました． この 幕屋が 聖所と 呼ばれるものです．
- また， 第二の 垂れ 幕の 後ろには， 至聖所と 呼ばれる 幕屋がありました．
- そこには 金の 香壇と， すっかり 金で 覆われた 契約の 箱とがあって， この 中には， マンナ の 入っている 金の 壺， 芽を 出した アロン の 杖， 契約の 石板があり，
- また， 箱の 上では， 榮光の 姿の ケルビム が 償いの 座を 覆っていました． こういうことについては， 今はいちいち 語ることはできません．

- Then verily the first covenant had also ordinances of divine service, and a worldly sanctuary.
- For there was a tabernacle made; the first, wherein was the candlestick, and the table, and the shewbread; which is called the sanctuary.
- And after the second veil, the tabernacle which is called the Holiest of all;
- Which had the golden censer, and the ark of the covenant overlaid round about with gold, wherein was the golden pot that had manna, and Aaron's rod that budded, and the tables of the covenant;
- And over it the cherubims of glory shadowing the mercyseat; of which we cannot now speak particularly.

- 以上のものがこのように 設けられると， 祭司たちは 禮拜を 行うために， いつも 第一の 幕屋に 入ります．
- しかし， 第二の 幕屋には 年に 一度， 大祭司だけが 入りますが， 自分自身のためと 民の 過失のために 獻げる 血を， 必ず 携えて 行きます．
- このことによって 聖靈は， 第一の 幕屋がなお 存續しているかぎり， 聖所への 道はまだ 開かれていないことを 示しておられます．
- この 幕屋とは， 今という 時の 比喩です． すなわち， 供え 物といけにえが 獻げられても， 禮拜をする 者の 良心を 完全にすることができないのです．
- これらは， ただ 食べ 物や 飮み 物や 種¿の 洗い 淸めに 關するもので， 改革の 時まで 課せられている 肉の 規定にすぎません．

- Now when these things were thus ordained, the priests went always into the first tabernacle, accomplishing the service of God.
- But into the second went the high priest alone once every year, not without blood, which he offered for himself, and for the errors of the people:
- The Holy Ghost this signifying, that the way into the holiest of all was not yet made manifest, while as the first tabernacle was yet standing:
- Which was a figure for the time then present, in which were offered both gifts and sacrifices, that could not make him that did the service perfect, as pertaining to the conscience;
- Which stood only in meats and drinks, and divers washings, and carnal ordinances, imposed on them until the time of reformation.

- けれども， キリスト は， 旣に 實現している 惠みの 大祭司としておいでになったのですから， 人間の 手で 造られたのではない， すなわち， この 世のものではない， 更に 大きく， 更に 完全な 幕屋を 通り，
- 雄山羊と 若い 雄牛の 血によらないで， 御自身の 血によって， ただ 一度聖所に 入って 永遠の ·いを 成し 遂げられたのです．
- なぜなら， もし， 雄山羊と 雄牛の 血， また 雌牛の 灰が， 汚れた 者たちに 振りかけられて， 彼らを 聖なる 者とし， その 身を 淸めるならば，
- まして， 永遠の “靈 ＂によって， 御自身をきずのないものとして 神に 獻げられた キリスト の 血は， わたしたちの 良心を 死んだ 業から 淸めて， 生ける 神を 禮拜するようにさせないでしょうか．

- But Christ being come an high priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building;
- Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us.
- For if the blood of bulls and of goats, and the ashes of an heifer sprinkling the unclean, sanctifieth to the purifying of the flesh:
- How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?
