다니엘 3:1-4:18

 느부갓네살 왕은 모든 백성에게 자신이 만든 금 신상에 절할 것을 반포하고, 이 명령에 불복종하는 사드락, 메삭, 아벳느고를 풀무불로 처형하라고 명하였다. 그러나 그들이 하나님의 능력으로 불 속에서 살아난 것을 보자 왕은 하나님을 찬양했으며 아무도 하나님을 모독하지 못하도록 조서를 내렸다. 왕은 두번째 꿈을 꾸고 다니엘에게 꿈 해석을 요청하였다.
  
  금신상과 풀무불(3:1-3:30)    
 
  1. ネブカドネツァル 王は 一つの 金の 像を 造った． 高さは 六十 アンマ ， 幅は 六 アンマ で， これを バビロン 州の ドラ という 平野に 建てた．
  2. ネブカドネツァル 王は 人を 遣わして， 總督， 執政官， 地方長官， 參議官， 財務官， 司法官， 保安官， その 他諸州の 高官たちを 集め， 自分の 建てた 像の 除幕式に 參列させることにした．
  3. 總督， 執政官， 地方長官， 參議官， 財務官， 司法官， 保安官， その 他諸州の 高官たちはその 王の 建てた 像の 除幕式に 集まり， 像の 前に 立ち ¿んだ．
  4. 傳令は 力を ¿めて 叫んだ． 「諸國， 諸族， 諸言語の 人¿よ， あなたたちに 告げる．
  5. 角笛， 橫笛， 六絃琴， 竪琴， 十三絃琴， 風琴などあらゆる 樂器による 音樂が 聞こえたなら， ネブカドネツァル 王の 建てられた 金の 像の 前にひれ 伏して 拜め．
  1. Nebuchadnezzar the king made an image of gold, whose height was threescore cubits, and the breadth thereof six cubits: he set it up in the plain of Dura, in the province of Babylon.
  2. Then Nebuchadnezzar the king sent to gather together the princes, the governors, and the captains, the judges, the treasurers, the counsellors, the sheriffs, and all the rulers of the provinces, to come to the dedication of the image which Nebuchadnezzar the king had set up.
  3. Then the princes, the governors, and captains, the judges, the treasurers, the counsellors, the sheriffs, and all the rulers of the provinces, were gathered together unto the dedication of the image that Nebuchadnezzar the king had set up; and they stood before the image that Nebuchadnezzar had set up.
  4. Then an herald cried aloud, To you it is commanded, O people, nations, and languages,
  5. That at what time ye hear the sound of the cornet, flute, harp, sackbut, psaltery, dulcimer, and all kinds of musick, ye fall down and worship the golden image that Nebuchadnezzar the king hath set up:
  1. ひれ 伏して 拜まない 者は， 直ちに 燃え 盛る 爐に 投げ ¿まれる． 」
  2. それで， 角笛， 橫笛， 六絃琴， 竪琴， 十三絃琴の 音樂が 聞こえてくると， 諸國， 諸族， 諸言語の 人¿は 皆ひれ 伏し， ネブカドネツァル 王の 建てた 金の 像を 拜んだ．
  3. さてこのとき， 何人かの カルデア 人が ユダヤ 人を 中傷しようと 進み 出て，
  4. ネブカドネツァル 王にこう 言った． 「王樣がとこしえまでも 生き 永らえられますように．
  5. 御命令によりますと， 角笛， 橫笛， 六絃琴， 竪琴， 十三絃琴， 風琴などあらゆる 樂器の 音樂が 聞こえたなら， だれでも 金の 像にひれ 伏して 拜め， ということでした．
  1. And whoso falleth not down and worshippeth shall the same hour be cast into the midst of a burning fiery furnace.
  2. Therefore at that time, when all the people heard the sound of the cornet, flute, harp, sackbut, psaltery, and all kinds of musick, all the people, the nations, and the languages, fell down and worshipped the golden image that Nebuchadnezzar the king had set up.
  3. Wherefore at that time certain Chaldeans came near, and accused the Jews.
  4. They spake and said to the king Nebuchadnezzar, O king, live for ever.
  5. Thou, O king, hast made a decree, that every man that shall hear the sound of the cornet, flute, harp, sackbut, psaltery, and dulcimer, and all kinds of musick, shall fall down and worship the golden image:
  1. そうしなければ， 燃え 盛る 爐に 投げ ¿まれるはずです．
  2. バビロン 州には， その 行政をお 任せになっている ユダヤ 人 シャドラク ， メシャク ， アベド · ネゴ の 三人がおりますが， この 人¿は 御命令を 無視して， 王樣の 神に 仕えず， お 建てになった 金の 像を 拜もうとしません． 」
  3. これを 聞いた ネブカドネツァル 王は 怒りに 燃え， シャドラク ， メシャク ， アベド · ネゴ を 連れて 來るよう 命じ， この 三人は 王の 前に 引き 出された．
  4. 王は 彼らに 言った． 「シャドラク ， メシャク ， アベド · ネゴ ， お 前たちがわたしの 神に 仕えず， わたしの 建てた 金の 像を 拜まないというのは 本當か．
  5. 今， 角笛， 橫笛， 六絃琴， 竪琴， 十三絃琴， 風琴などあらゆる 樂器の 音樂が 聞こえると 同時にひれ 伏し， わたしの 建てた 金の 像を 拜むつもりでいるなら， それでよい． もしも 拜まないなら， 直ちに 燃え 盛る 爐に 投げ ¿ませる． お 前たちをわたしの 手から 救い 出す 神があろうか． 」
  1. And whoso falleth not down and worshippeth, that he should be cast into the midst of a burning fiery furnace.
  2. There are certain Jews whom thou hast set over the affairs of the province of Babylon, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego; these men, O king, have not regarded thee: they serve not thy gods, nor worship the golden image which thou hast set up.
  3. Then Nebuchadnezzar in his rage and fury commanded to bring Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. Then they brought these men before the king.
  4. Nebuchadnezzar spake and said unto them, Is it true, O Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, do not ye serve my gods, nor worship the golden image which I have set up?
  5. Now if ye be ready that at what time ye hear the sound of the cornet, flute, harp, sackbut, psaltery, and dulcimer, and all kinds of musick, ye fall down and worship the image which I have made; well: but if ye worship not, ye shall be cast the same hour into the midst of a burning fiery furnace; and who is that God that shall deliver you out of my hands?
  1. シャドラク ， メシャク ， アベド · ネゴ は ネブカドネツァル 王に 答えた． 「このお 定めにつきまして， お 答えする 必要はございません．
  2. わたしたちのお 仕えする 神は， その 燃え 盛る 爐や 王樣の 手からわたしたちを 救うことができますし， 必ず 救ってくださいます．
  3. そうでなくとも， 御承知ください． わたしたちは 王樣の 神¿に 仕えることも， お 建てになった 金の 像を 拜むことも， 決していたしません． 」
  4. ネブカドネツァル 王は シャドラク ， メシャク ， アベド · ネゴ に 對して 血相を 變えて 怒り， 爐をいつもの 七倍も 熱く 燃やすように 命じた．
  5. そして 兵士の 中でも 特に 强い 者に 命じて， シャドラク ， メシャク ， アベド · ネゴ を 縛り 上げ， 燃え 盛る 爐に 投げ ¿ませた．
  1. Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, answered and said to the king, O Nebuchadnezzar, we are not careful to answer thee in this matter.
  2. If it be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver us out of thine hand, O king.
  3. But if not, be it known unto thee, O king, that we will not serve thy gods, nor worship the golden image which thou hast set up.
  4. Then was Nebuchadnezzar full of fury, and the form of his visage was changed against Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego: therefore he spake, and commanded that they should heat the furnace one seven times more than it was wont to be heated.
  5. And he commanded the most mighty men that were in his army to bind Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, and to cast them into the burning fiery furnace.
  1. 彼らは 上着， 下着， 帽子， その 他の 衣服を 着けたまま 縛られ， 燃え 盛る 爐に 投げ ¿まれた．
  2. 王の 命令は 嚴しく， 爐は 激しく 燃え 上がっていたので， 噴き 出る 炎は シャドラク ， メシャク ， アベド · ネゴ を 引いて 行った 男たちをさえ 燒き 殺した．
  3. シャドラク ， メシャク ， アベド · ネゴ の 三人は 縛られたまま 燃え 盛る 爐の 中に 落ち ¿んで 行った．
  4. 間もなく 王は 驚きの 色を 見せ， 急に 立ち 上がり， 側近たちに 尋ねた． 「あの 三人の 男は， 縛ったまま 爐に 投げ ¿んだはずではなかったか． 」彼らは 答えた． 「王樣， そのとおりでございます． 」
  5. 王は 言った． 「だが， わたしには 四人の 者が 火の 中を 自由に 步いているのが 見える． そして 何の 害も 受けていない． それに 四人目の 者は 神の 子のような 姿をしている． 」
  1. Then these men were bound in their coats, their hosen, and their hats, and their other garments, and were cast into the midst of the burning fiery furnace.
  2. Therefore because the king's commandment was urgent, and the furnace exceeding hot, the flames of the fire slew those men that took up Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego.
  3. And these three men, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, fell down bound into the midst of the burning fiery furnace.
  4. Then Nebuchadnezzar the king was astonied, and rose up in haste, and spake, and said unto his counsellors, Did not we cast three men bound into the midst of the fire? They answered and said unto the king, True, O king.
  5. He answered and said, Lo, I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire, and they have no hurt; and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God.
  1. ネブカドネツァル 王は 燃え 盛る 爐の 口に 近づいて 呼びかけた． 「シャドラク ， メシャク ， アベド · ネゴ ， いと 高き 神に 仕える 人¿よ， 出て 來なさい． 」すると， シャドラク ， メシャク ， アベド · ネゴ は 爐の 中から 出て 來た．
  2. 總督， 執政官， 地方長官， 王の 側近たちは 集まって 三人を 調べたが， 火はその 體を 損なわず， 髮の 毛も 焦げてはおらず， 上着も 元のままで 火のにおいすらなかった．
  3. ネブカドネツァル 王は 言った． 「シャドラク ， メシャク ， アベド · ネゴ の 神をたたえよ． 彼らは 王の 命令に 背き， 體を ¿牲にしても 自分の 神に 依り 賴み， 自分の 神以外にはいかなる 神にも 仕えず， 拜もうともしなかったので， この 僕たちを， 神は 御使いを 送って 救われた．
  4. わたしは 命令する． いかなる 國， 民族， 言語に 屬する 者も， シャドラク ， メシャク ， アベド · ネゴ の 神をののしる 者があれば， その 體は 八つ 裂きにされ， その 家は 破壞される． まことに 人間をこのように 救うことのできる 神はほかにはない． 」
  5. こうして 王は， シャドラク ， メシャク ， アベド · ネゴ を バビロン 州で 高い 位につけた．
  1. Then Nebuchadnezzar came near to the mouth of the burning fiery furnace, and spake, and said, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, ye servants of the most high God, come forth, and come hither. Then Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, came forth of the midst of the fire.
  2. And the princes, governors, and captains, and the king's counsellors, being gathered together, saw these men, upon whose bodies the fire had no power, nor was an hair of their head singed, neither were their coats changed, nor the smell of fire had passed on them.
  3. Then Nebuchadnezzar spake, and said, Blessed be the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, who hath sent his angel, and delivered his servants that trusted in him, and have changed the king's word, and yielded their bodies, that they might not serve nor worship any god, except their own God.
  4. Therefore I make a decree, That every people, nation, and language, which speak any thing amiss against the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, shall be cut in pieces, and their houses shall be made a dunghill: because there is no other God that can deliver after this sort.
  5. Then the king promoted Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, in the province of Babylon.
 
  느부갓네살의 두번째 꿈(4:1-4:18)    
 
  1. わたし ネブカドネツァル は， 健康に 惠まれ， 王宮で 心安らかに 過ごしていた．
  2. 一夜， わたしは 夢を 見た． 眠りの 中に 恐ろしい 光景が 現れ， わたしは 頭に 浮かんだ 幻に 惱まされた．
  3. わたしは 命令を 下して バビロン の 知者を 全員召集し， 夢の 解釋をさせようとした．
  4. 占い 師， 祈¿師， 賢者， 星占い 師らが 來たので， わたしは 夢の 話をしたが， だれひとり 解釋ができなかった．
  5. 最後に ダニエル が 來た． これはわたしの 神にちなんで ベルテシャツァル という 名を 與えた 者で， 彼には 聖なる 神の 靈が 宿っていた． わたしは 彼に 夢の 話をして， こう 言った．
  1. Nebuchadnezzar the king, unto all people, nations, and languages, that dwell in all the earth; Peace be multiplied unto you.
  2. I thought it good to shew the signs and wonders that the high God hath wrought toward me.
  3. How great are his signs! and how mighty are his wonders! his kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and his dominion is from generation to generation.
  4. I Nebuchadnezzar was at rest in mine house, and flourishing in my palace:
  5. I saw a dream which made me afraid, and the thoughts upon my bed and the visions of my head troubled me.
  1. 「占い 師の 長 ベルテシャツァル よ， お 前には 聖なる 神の 靈が 宿っていて， どんな 秘密でも 解き 明かせると 聞いている． わたしの 見た 夢はこうだ． 解釋をしてほしい．
  2. 眠っていると， このような 幻が 頭に 浮かんだのだ． 大地の 眞ん 中に， 一本の 木が 生えていた． 大きな 木であった．
  3. その 木は 成長してたくましくなり ／天に 屆くほどの 高さになり ／地の 果てからも 見えるまでになった．
  4. 葉は 美しく 茂り， 實は 豊かに 實って ／すべてを 養うに 足るほどであった． その 木陰に 野の ¿は 宿り ／その 枝に 空の 鳥は 巢を 作り ／生き 物はみな， この 木によって 食べ 物を 得た．
  5. 更に， 眠っていると， 頭に 浮かんだ 幻の 中で， 聖なる 見張りの 天使が 天から 降って 來るのが 見えた．
  1. Therefore made I a decree to bring in all the wise men of Babylon before me, that they might make known unto me the interpretation of the dream.
  2. Then came in the magicians, the astrologers, the Chaldeans, and the soothsayers: and I told the dream before them; but they did not make known unto me the interpretation thereof.
  3. But at the last Daniel came in before me, whose name was Belteshazzar, according to the name of my God, and in whom is the spirit of the holy gods: and before him I told the dream, saying,
  4. O Belteshazzar, master of the magicians, because I know that the spirit of the holy gods is in thee, and no secret troubleth thee, tell me the visions of my dream that I have seen, and the interpretation thereof.
  5. Thus were the visions of mine head in my bed; I saw, and behold a tree in the midst of the earth, and the height thereof was great.
  1. 天使は 大聲に 呼ばわって， こう 言った． 『この 木を 切り 倒し， 枝を 拂い ／葉を 散らし， 實を 落とせ． その 木陰から ¿を， その 枝から 鳥を 追い 拂え．
  2. ただし， 切り 株と 根は 地中に 殘し ／鐵と 靑銅の 鎖をかけて， 野の 草の 中に 置け． 天の 露にぬれるにまかせ ／¿と 共に 野の 草を 食らわせよ．
  3. その 心は 變わって， 人の 心を 失い ／¿の 心が 與えられる． こうして， 七つの 時が 過ぎるであろう．
  4. この 宣告は 見張りの 天使らの 決定により ／この 命令は 聖なる 者らの 決議によるものである． すなわち， 人間の 王國を 支配するのは， いと 高き 神であり， この 神は 御旨のままにそれをだれにでも 與え， また， 最も 卑しい 人をその 上に 立てることもできるということを， 人間に 知らせるためである． 』
  5. これが， わたし ネブカドネツァル 王の 見た 夢だ． さて， ベルテシャツァル ， その 解釋を 聞かせてほしい． この 王國中の 知者はだれひとり 解き 明かせなかったのだが， 聖なる 神の 靈が 宿っているというお 前ならできるであろう． 」
  1. The tree grew, and was strong, and the height thereof reached unto heaven, and the sight thereof to the end of all the earth:
  2. The leaves thereof were fair, and the fruit thereof much, and in it was meat for all: the beasts of the field had shadow under it, and the fowls of the heaven dwelt in the boughs thereof, and all flesh was fed of it.
  3. I saw in the visions of my head upon my bed, and, behold, a watcher and an holy one came down from heaven;
  4. He cried aloud, and said thus, Hew down the tree, and cut off his branches, shake off his leaves, and scatter his fruit: let the beasts get away from under it, and the fowls from his branches:
  5. Nevertheless leave the stump of his roots in the earth, even with a band of iron and brass, in the tender grass of the field; and let it be wet with the dew of heaven, and let his portion be with the beasts in the grass of the earth:
  1. しかし， ベルテシャツァル と 呼ばれる ダニエル は 驚いた 樣子で， しばらくの 間思い 惱んでいた． 王は 彼に， 「ベルテシャツァル ， この 夢とその 解釋を 恐れずに 言うがよい 」と 言った． 彼は 答えた． 「王樣， この 夢があなたの 敵に， その 解釋があなたを 憎む 者にふりかかりますように．
  2. 御覽になったその 木， すなわち， 成長してたくましくなり， 天に 屆くほどの 高さになり， 地の 果てからも 見え，
  3. 葉は 美しく 茂り， 實は 豊かに 實ってすべてを 養うに 足り， その 木陰に 野の ¿は 宿り， その 枝に 空の 鳥は 巢を 作る，
  1. Let his heart be changed from man's, and let a beast's heart be given unto him; and let seven times pass over him.
  2. This matter is by the decree of the watchers, and the demand by the word of the holy ones: to the intent that the living may know that the most High ruleth in the kingdom of men, and giveth it to whomsoever he will, and setteth up over it the basest of men.
  3. This dream I king Nebuchadnezzar have seen. Now thou, O Belteshazzar, declare the interpretation thereof, forasmuch as all the wise men of my kingdom are not able to make known unto me the interpretation: but thou art able; for the spirit of the holy gods is in thee.
