- 子たちよ， だれにも 惑わされないようにしなさい． 義を 行う 者は， 御子と 同じように， 正しい 人です．
- 罪を 犯す 者は 惡魔に 屬します． 惡魔は 初めから 罪を 犯しているからです． 惡魔の ¿きを 滅ぼすためにこそ， 神の 子が 現れたのです．
- 神から 生まれた 人は 皆， 罪を 犯しません． 神の 種がこの 人の 內にいつもあるからです． この 人は 神から 生まれたので， 罪を 犯すことができません．
- 神の 子たちと 惡魔の 子たちの 區別は 明らかです． 正しい 生活をしない 者は 皆， 神に 屬していません． 自分の 兄弟を 愛さない 者も 同樣です．
- なぜなら， 互いに 愛し 合うこと， これがあなたがたの 初めから 聞いている 敎えだからです．

- Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous.
- He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.
- Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.
- In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother.
- For this is the message that ye heard from the beginning, that we should love one another.

- カイン のようになってはなりません． 彼は 惡い 者に 屬して， 兄弟を 殺しました． なぜ 殺したのか． 自分の 行いが 惡く， 兄弟の 行いが 正しかったからです．
- だから 兄弟たち， 世があなたがたを 憎んでも， 驚くことはありません．
- わたしたちは， 自分が 死から 命へと 移ったことを 知っています． 兄弟を 愛しているからです． 愛することのない 者は， 死にとどまったままです．
- 兄弟を 憎む 者は 皆， 人殺しです． あなたがたの 知っているとおり， すべて 人殺しには 永遠の 命がとどまっていません．
- イエス は， わたしたちのために， 命を 捨ててくださいました． そのことによって， わたしたちは 愛を 知りました． だから， わたしたちも 兄弟のために 命を 捨てるべきです．

- Not as Cain, who was of that wicked one, and slew his brother. And wherefore slew he him? Because his own works were evil, and his brother's righteous.
- Marvel not, my brethren, if the world hate you.
- We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren. He that loveth not his brother abideth in death.
- Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer: and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him.
- Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.

- 世の 富を 持ちながら， 兄弟が 必要な 物に 事欠くのを 見て 同情しない 者があれば， どうして 神の 愛がそのような 者の 內にとどまるでしょう．
- 子たちよ， 言葉や 口先だけではなく， 行いをもって 誠實に 愛し 合おう．
- これによって， わたしたちは 自分が 眞理に 屬していることを 知り， 神の 御前で 安心できます，
- 心に 責められることがあろうとも． 神は， わたしたちの 心よりも 大きく， すべてをご 存じだからです．
- 愛する 者たち， わたしたちは 心に 責められることがなければ， 神の 御前で 確信を 持つことができ，

- But whoso hath this world's good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him?
- My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth.
- And hereby we know that we are of the truth, and shall assure our hearts before him.
- For if our heart condemn us, God is greater than our heart, and knoweth all things.
- Beloved, if our heart condemn us not, then have we confidence toward God.

- 神に 願うことは 何でもかなえられます． わたしたちが 神の ¿を 守り， 御心に 適うことを 行っているからです．
- その ¿とは， 神の 子 イエス · キリスト の 名を 信じ， この 方がわたしたちに 命じられたように， 互いに 愛し 合うことです．
- 神の ¿を 守る 人は， 神の 內にいつもとどまり， 神もその 人の 內にとどまってくださいます． 神がわたしたちの 內にとどまってくださることは， 神が 與えてくださった “靈 ＂によって 分かります．

- And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight.
- And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he gave us commandment.
- And he that keepeth his commandments dwelleth in him, and he in him. And hereby we know that he abideth in us, by the Spirit which he hath given us.
