- 愛する 者たち， どの 靈も 信じるのではなく， 神から 出た 靈かどうかを 確かめなさい． 僞預言者が 大勢世に 出て 來ているからです．
- イエス · キリスト が 肉となって 來られたということを 公に 言い 表す 靈は， すべて 神から 出たものです． このことによって， あなたがたは 神の 靈が 分かります．
- イエス のことを 公に 言い 表さない 靈はすべて， 神から 出ていません． これは， 反 キリスト の 靈です． かねてあなたがたは， その 靈がやって 來ると 聞いていましたが， 今や 旣に 世に 來ています．
- 子たちよ， あなたがたは 神に 屬しており， 僞預言者たちに 打ち 勝ちました． なぜなら， あなたがたの 內におられる 方は， 世にいる 者よりも 强いからです．
- 僞預言者たちは 世に 屬しており， そのため， 世のことを 話し， 世は 彼らに 耳を 傾けます．

- Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.
- Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God:
- And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.
- Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.
- They are of the world: therefore speak they of the world, and the world heareth them.

- わたしたちは 神に 屬する 者です． 神を 知る 人は， わたしたちに 耳を 傾けますが， 神に 屬していない 者は， わたしたちに 耳を 傾けません． これによって， 眞理の 靈と 人を 惑わす 靈とを 見分けることができます．
- 愛する 者たち， 互いに 愛し 合いましょう． 愛は 神から 出るもので， 愛する 者は 皆， 神から 生まれ， 神を 知っているからです．
- 愛することのない 者は 神を 知りません． 神は 愛だからです．
- 神は， 獨り 子を 世にお 遣わしになりました． その 方によって， わたしたちが 生きるようになるためです． ここに， 神の 愛がわたしたちの 內に 示されました．
- わたしたちが 神を 愛したのではなく， 神がわたしたちを 愛して， わたしたちの 罪を 償ういけにえとして， 御子をお 遣わしになりました． ここに 愛があります．

- We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.
- Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.
- He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.
- In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him.
- Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.

- 愛する 者たち， 神がこのようにわたしたちを 愛されたのですから， わたしたちも 互いに 愛し 合うべきです．
- いまだかつて 神を 見た 者はいません． わたしたちが 互いに 愛し 合うならば， 神はわたしたちの 內にとどまってくださり， 神の 愛がわたしたちの 內で 全うされているのです．
- 神はわたしたちに， 御自分の 靈を 分け 與えてくださいました． このことから， わたしたちが 神の 內にとどまり， 神もわたしたちの 內にとどまってくださることが 分かります．
- わたしたちはまた， 御父が 御子を 世の 救い 主として 遣わされたことを 見， またそのことを 證ししています．
- イエス が 神の 子であることを 公に 言い 表す 人はだれでも， 神がその 人の 內にとどまってくださり， その 人も 神の 內にとどまります．

- Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another.
- No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us.
- Hereby know we that we dwell in him, and he in us, because he hath given us of his Spirit.
- And we have seen and do testify that the Father sent the Son to be the Saviour of the world.
- Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God.

- わたしたちは， わたしたちに 對する 神の 愛を 知り， また 信じています． 神は 愛です． 愛にとどまる 人は， 神の 內にとどまり， 神もその 人の 內にとどまってくださいます．
- こうして， 愛がわたしたちの 內に 全うされているので， 裁きの 日に 確信を 持つことができます． この 世でわたしたちも， イエス のようであるからです．
- 愛には 恐れがない． 完全な 愛は 恐れを 締め 出します． なぜなら， 恐れは 罰を 伴い， 恐れる 者には 愛が 全うされていないからです．
- わたしたちが 愛するのは， 神がまずわたしたちを 愛してくださったからです．
- 「神を 愛している 」と 言いながら 兄弟を 憎む 者がいれば， それは 僞り 者です． 目に 見える 兄弟を 愛さない 者は， 目に 見えない 神を 愛することができません．

- And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.
- Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world.
- There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.
- We love him, because he first loved us.
- If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen?

- 神を 愛する 人は， 兄弟をも 愛すべきです． これが， 神から 受けた ¿です．

- And this commandment have we from him, That he who loveth God love his brother also.
