- イスラエル よ， 喜び 祝うな． 諸國の 民のように， 喜び 躍るな． お 前は 自分の 神を 離れて 姦淫し ／どこの 麥打ち 場においても ／姦淫の 報酬を 慕い 求めた．
- 麥打ち 場も 酒ぶねも， 彼らを 養いはしない． 新しい 酒を 期待しても 裏切られる．
- 彼らは 主の 土地にとどまりえず ／ エフライム は エジプト に 歸り ／ アッシリア で 汚れたものを 食べる．
- 主にぶどう 酒をささげることもできず ／いけにえをささげても， 受け 入れられない． 彼らの 食べ 物は 偶像にささげられた パン だ． それを 食べる 者は 皆， 汚れる． 彼らの パン は 自分の 欲望のためだ． それを 主の 神殿にもたらしてはならない．
- 祝いの 日， 主の 祭りの 日に ／お 前たちはどうするつもりか．

- Rejoice not, O Israel, for joy, as other people: for thou hast gone a whoring from thy God, thou hast loved a reward upon every cornfloor.
- The floor and the winepress shall not feed them, and the new wine shall fail in her.
- They shall not dwell in the LORD's land; but Ephraim shall return to Egypt, and they shall eat unclean things in Assyria.
- They shall not offer wine offerings to the LORD, neither shall they be pleasing unto him: their sacrifices shall be unto them as the bread of mourners; all that eat thereof shall be polluted: for their bread for their soul shall not come into the house of the LORD.
- What will ye do in the solemn day, and in the day of the feast of the LORD?

- 見よ， 彼らが 滅びを 逃れても ／ エジプト が 彼らを 集め， メンフィス が 葬る． 彼らの 銀も 寶物もいらくさに 覆われ ／天幕には 茨がはびこる．
- 裁きの 日が 來た． 決裁の 日が 來た． イスラエル よ， 知れ． お 前の 不義は 甚だしく， 敵意が 激しいので ／預言者は 愚か 者とされ， 靈の 人は 狂う．
- 預言者はわが 神と 共にあるが ／ エフライム は 彼を 待ち 伏せて ／その 行く 道のどこにも 鳥を 取る 者の ┼を 仕掛け ／その 神の 家を 敵意で 滿たす．
- ギブア の 日¿のように， 彼らの 墮落は 根深く ／主は 彼らの 不義に 心を 留め ／その 罪を 裁かれる．
- 荒れ 野でぶどうを 見いだすように ／わたしは イスラエル を 見いだした． いちじくが 初めてつけた 實のように ／お 前たちの 先祖をわたしは 見た． ところが， 彼らは バアル · ペオル に 行った． それを 愛するにつれて ／ますます 恥ずべきものに 身をゆだね ／忌むべき 者となっていった．

- For, lo, they are gone because of destruction: Egypt shall gather them up, Memphis shall bury them: the pleasant places for their silver, nettles shall possess them: thorns shall be in their tabernacles.
- The days of visitation are come, the days of recompence are come; Israel shall know it: the prophet is a fool, the spiritual man is mad, for the multitude of thine iniquity, and the great hatred.
- The watchman of Ephraim was with my God: but the prophet is a snare of a fowler in all his ways, and hatred in the house of his God.
- They have deeply corrupted themselves, as in the days of Gibeah: therefore he will remember their iniquity, he will visit their sins.
- I found Israel like grapes in the wilderness; I saw your fathers as the firstripe in the fig tree at her first time: but they went to Baalpeor, and separated themselves unto that shame; and their abominations were according as they loved.

- エフライム の 榮えは 鳥のように 飛び 去る． もう 出産も， 妊娠も， 受胎もない．
- たとえ， 彼らが 子供を 育てても ／わたしがひとり 殘らず 奪い 取る． 彼らからわたしが 離れ 去るなら ／なんと 災いなことであろうか．
- 綠に 圍まれた ティルス のように ／わたしは エフライム を 見なしてきた． しかし， エフライム は 自分の 子供たちを ／餌食として 差し 出さねばならない．
- 主よ， 彼らに 與えてください ／あなたが 與えようとされるものを． 彼らに 與えてください ／子を 産めない 胎と 枯れた 乳房を．
- 彼らの 惡はすべて ギルガル にある． まさにそこで， わたしは 彼らを 憎む． その 惡行のゆえに， 彼らをわたしの 家から 追い 出し ／わたしは， もはや 彼らを 愛さない． 高官たちは 皆わたしに 逆らう 者だ．

- As for Ephraim, their glory shall fly away like a bird, from the birth, and from the womb, and from the conception.
- Though they bring up their children, yet will I bereave them, that there shall not be a man left: yea, woe also to them when I depart from them!
- Ephraim, as I saw Tyrus, is planted in a pleasant place: but Ephraim shall bring forth his children to the murderer.
- Give them, O LORD: what wilt thou give? give them a miscarrying womb and dry breasts.
- All their wickedness is in Gilgal: for there I hated them: for the wickedness of their doings I will drive them out of mine house, I will love them no more: all their princes are revolters.

- エフライム は 擊たれた． 彼らの 根は 枯れ， 實を 結ぶことはない． たとえ 子を 産んでも ／その 胎の 實， 愛する 子をわたしは 殺す．
- わが 神は 彼らを 退けられる． 神に 聞き 從わなかったからだ． 彼らは 諸國にさまよう 者となる．

- Ephraim is smitten, their root is dried up, they shall bear no fruit: yea, though they bring forth, yet will I slay even the beloved fruit of their womb.
- My God will cast them away, because they did not hearken unto him: and they shall be wanderers among the nations.
