- 彼らは 朝の 霧 ／すぐに 消えうせる 露のようだ． 麥打ち 場から 舞い 上がるもみ 殼のように ／煙出しから 消えて 行く 煙のようになる．
- わたしこそあなたの 神， 主． エジプト の 地からあなたを 導き 上った． わたしのほかに， 神を 認めてはならない． わたしのほかに， 救いうる 者はない．

- そこでわたしは 獅子のように ／豹のように 道で 彼らをねらう．
- 子を 奪われた 熊のように 彼らを 襲い ／脇腹を 引き 裂き ／その 場で 獅子のように 彼らを 食らう． 野¿が 彼らをかみ 裂く．
- イスラエル よ， お 前の 破滅が 來る． わたしに 背いたからだ． お 前の 助けであるわたしに 背いたからだ．
- どこにいるのか， お 前の 王は ／どこの 町でも， お 前を 救うはずの 者 ／お 前を 治める 者らは． 「王や 高官をわたしにください 」と ／お 前は 言ったではないか．

- According to their pasture, so were they filled; they were filled, and their heart was exalted; therefore have they forgotten me.
- Therefore I will be unto them as a lion: as a leopard by the way will I observe them:
- I will meet them as a bear that is bereaved of her whelps, and will rend the caul of their heart, and there will I devour them like a lion: the wild beast shall tear them.

- エフライム の 咎はとどめておかれ ／その 罪は 蓄えておかれる．
- 産みの 苦しみが 襲う． 彼は 知惠のない 子で ／生まれるべき 時なのに， 胎から 出て 來ない．
- 陰府の 支配からわたしは 彼らを ·うだろうか． 死から 彼らを 解き 放つだろうか． 死よ， お 前の 呪いはどこにあるのか． 陰府よ， お 前の 滅びはどこにあるのか． 憐れみはわたしの 目から 消え 去る．
- エフライム は 兄弟の 中で 最も 榮えた． しかし 熱風が 襲う． 主の 風が 荒れ 野から 吹きつける． 水の 源は ¿れ， 泉は 干上がり ／すべての 富， すべての 寶は 奪い 去られる．

- I gave thee a king in mine anger, and took him away in my wrath.
