- 父を 嘲笑い， 母への 從順を 侮る 者の 目は ／谷の 烏がえぐり 出し， 鷲の 雛がついばむ．
- わたしにとって， 驚くべきことが 三つ ／知りえぬことが 四つ．
- 天にある 鷲の 道 ／岩の 上の 蛇の 道 ／大海の 中の 船の 道 ／男がおとめに 向かう 道．
- そうだ， 姦通の 女の 道も． 食べて 口をぬぐい ／何も 惡いことはしていないと 言う．
- 三つのことに 大地は 震え ／四つのことに 耐ええない．

- The eye that mocketh at his father, and despiseth to obey his mother, the ravens of the valley shall pick it out, and the young eagles shall eat it.
- There be three things which are too wonderful for me, yea, four which I know not:
- The way of an eagle in the air; the way of a serpent upon a rock; the way of a ship in the midst of the sea; and the way of a man with a maid.
- Such is the way of an adulterous woman; she eateth, and wipeth her mouth, and saith, I have done no wickedness.
