- 人間は 榮華のうちにとどまることはできない． 屠られる ¿に 等しい．
- これが 自分の 力に 賴る 者の 道 ／自分の 口の 言葉に 滿足する 者の 行く 末． 〔セラ
- 陰府に 置かれた 羊の 群れ ／死が 彼らを 飼う． 朝になれば 正しい 人がその 上を 踏んで 行き ／誇り 高かったその 姿を 陰府がむしばむ．
- しかし， 神はわたしの 魂を ·い ／陰府の 手から 取り 上げてくださる． 〔セラ
- 人に 富が 增し， その 家に 名譽が 加わるときも ／あなたは 恐れることはない．

- This is the way of those who are foolish, And of those after them who approve their words. Selah.
- As sheep they are appointed for Sheol; Death shall be their shepherd; And the upright shall rule over them in the morning, And their form shall be for Sheol to consume So that they have no habitation.
- But God will redeem my soul from the power of Sheol, For He will receive me. Selah.
- Do not be afraid when a man becomes rich, When the glory of his house is increased;
- For when he dies he will carry nothing away; His glory will not descend after him.
