- この 話をしてから 八日ほどたったとき， イエス は， ペトロ ， ヨハネ ， および ヤコブ を 連れて， 祈るために 山に 登られた．
- 祈っておられるうちに， イエス の 顔の 樣子が 變わり， 服は 眞っ 白に 輝いた．
- 見ると， 二人の 人が イエス と 語り 合っていた． モ ― セ と エリヤ である．
- 二人は 榮光に 包まれて 現れ， イエス が エルサレム で 遂げようとしておられる 最期について 話していた．
- ペトロ と 仲間は， ひどく 眠かったが， じっとこらえていると， 榮光に 輝く イエス と， そばに 立っている 二人の 人が 見えた．

- Some eight days after these sayings, He took along Peter and John and James, and went up on the mountain to pray.
- And while He was praying, the appearance of His face became different, and His clothing became white and gleaming.
- And behold, two men were talking with Him; and they were Moses and Elijah,
- who, appearing in glory, were speaking of His departure which He was about to accomplish at Jerusalem.
- Now Peter and his companions had been overcome with sleep; but when they were fully awake, they saw His glory and the two men standing with Him.

- その 二人が イエス から 離れようとしたとき， ペトロ が イエス に 言った． 「先生， わたしたちがここにいるのは， すばらしいことです． 假小屋を 三つ 建てましょう． 一つはあなたのため， 一つは モ ― セ のため， もう 一つは エリヤ のためです． 」 ペトロ は， 自分でも 何を 言っているのか， 分からなかったのである．
- ペトロ がこう 言っていると， 雲が 現れて 彼らを 覆った． 彼らが 雲の 中に 包まれていくので， 弟子たちは 恐れた．
- すると， 「これはわたしの 子， 選ばれた 者． これに 聞け 」と 言う 聲が 雲の 中から 聞こえた．
- その 聲がしたとき， そこには イエス だけがおられた． 弟子たちは 沈默を 守り， 見たことを 當時だれにも 話さなかった．
- 翌日， 一同が 山を 下りると， 大勢の 群衆が イエス を 出迎えた．

- And as these were leaving Him, Peter said to Jesus, "Master, it is good for us to be here; let us make three tabernacles: one for You, and one for Moses, and one for Elijah"--not realizing what he was saying.
- While he was saying this, a cloud formed and began to overshadow them; and they were afraid as they entered the cloud.
- Then a voice came out of the cloud, saying, "This is My Son, My Chosen One; listen to Him!"
- And when the voice had spoken, Jesus was found alone. And they kept silent, and reported to no one in those days any of the things which they had seen.
- On the next day, when they came down from the mountain, a large crowd met Him.

- そのとき， 一人の 男が 群衆の 中から 大聲で 言った． 「先生， どうかわたしの 子を 見てやってください． 一人息子です．
- 惡靈が 取りつくと， この 子は 突然叫びだします． 惡靈はこの 子にけいれんを 起こさせて 泡を 吹かせ， さんざん 苦しめて， なかなか 離れません．
- この 靈を 追い 出してくださるようにお 弟子たちに 賴みましたが， できませんでした． 」
- イエス はお 答えになった． 「なんと 信仰のない， よこしまな 時代なのか． いつまでわたしは， あなたがたと 共にいて， あなたがたに 我慢しなければならないのか． あなたの 子供をここに 連れて 來なさい． 」
- その 子が 來る 途中でも， 惡靈は 投げ 倒し， 引きつけさせた． イエス は 汚れた 靈を 叱り， 子供をいやして 父親にお 返しになった．

- And a man from the crowd shouted, saying, "Teacher, I beg You to look at my son, for he is my only boy,
- and a spirit seizes him, and he suddenly screams, and it throws him into a convulsion with foaming at the mouth; and only with difficulty does it leave him, mauling him as it leaves.
- "I begged Your disciples to cast it out, and they could not."
- And Jesus answered and said, "You unbelieving and perverted generation, how long shall I be with you and put up with you? Bring your son here."
- While he was still approaching, the demon slammed him to the ground and threw him into a convulsion. But Jesus rebuked the unclean spirit, and healed the boy and gave him back to his father.

- 人¿は 皆， 神の 偉大さに 心を 打たれた．
- 「この 言葉をよく 耳に 入れておきなさい． 人の 子は 人¿の 手に 引き 渡されようとしている． 」
- 弟子たちはその 言葉が 分からなかった． 彼らには 理解できないように 隱されていたのである． 彼らは， 怖くてその 言葉について 尋ねられなかった．
- 弟子たちの 間で， 自分たちのうちだれがいちばん 偉いかという 議論が 起きた．
- イエス は 彼らの 心の 內を 見拔き， 一人の 子供の 手を 取り， 御自分のそばに 立たせて，

- And they were all amazed at the greatness of God But while everyone was marveling at all that He was doing, He said to His disciples,
- "Let these words sink into your ears; for the Son of Man is going to be delivered into the hands of men."
- But they did not understand this statement, and it was concealed from them so that they would not perceive it; and they were afraid to ask Him about this statement.
- An argument started among them as to which of them might be the greatest.
- But Jesus, knowing what they were thinking in their heart, took a child and stood him by His side,

- 言われた． 「わたしの 名のためにこの 子供を 受け 入れる 者は， わたしを 受け 入れるのである． わたしを 受け 入れる 者は， わたしをお 遣わしになった 方を 受け 入れるのである． あなたがた 皆の 中で 最も 小さい 者こそ， 最も 偉い 者である． 」
- そこで， ヨハネ が 言った． 「先生， お 名前を 使って 惡靈を 追い 出している 者を 見ましたが， わたしたちと 一緖にあなたに 從わないので， やめさせようとしました． 」
- イエス は 言われた． 「やめさせてはならない． あなたがたに 逆らわない 者は， あなたがたの 味方なのである． 」

- and said to them, "Whoever receives this child in My name receives Me, and whoever receives Me receives Him who sent Me; for the one who is least among all of you, this is the one who is great."
- John answered and said, "Master, we saw someone casting out demons in Your name; and we tried to prevent him because he does not follow along with us."
- But Jesus said to him, "Do not hinder him; for he who is not against you is for you."
