- ちょうどそのとき， 弟子たちが 歸って 來て， イエス が 女の 人と 話をしておられるのに 驚いた． しかし， 「何か 御用ですか 」とか， 「何をこの 人と 話しておられるのですか 」と 言う 者はいなかった．
- 女は， 水がめをそこに 置いたまま 町に 行き， 人¿に 言った．
- 「さあ， 見に 來てください． わたしが 行ったことをすべて， 言い 當てた 人がいます． もしかしたら， この 方が メシア かもしれません． 」
- 人¿は 町を 出て， イエス のもとへやって 來た．
- その 間に， 弟子たちが「ラビ ， 食事をどうぞ 」と 勸めると，

- At this point His disciples came, and they were amazed that He had been speaking with a woman, yet no one said, "What do You seek?" or, "Why do You speak with her?"
- So the woman left her waterpot, and went into the city and said to the men,
- "Come, see a man who told me all the things that I have done; this is not the Christ, is it?"
- They went out of the city, and were coming to Him.
- Meanwhile the disciples were urging Him, saying, "Rabbi, eat."

- イエス は， 「わたしにはあなたがたの 知らない 食べ 物がある 」と 言われた．
- 弟子たちは， 「だれかが 食べ 物を 持って 來たのだろうか 」と 互いに 言った．
- イエス は 言われた． 「わたしの 食べ 物とは， わたしをお 遣わしになった 方の 御心を 行い， その 業を 成し 遂げることである．
- あなたがたは， 『刈り 入れまでまだ 四か 月もある 』と 言っているではないか． わたしは 言っておく． 目を 上げて 畑を 見るがよい． 色づいて 刈り 入れを 待っている． 旣に，
- 刈り 入れる 人は 報酬を 受け， 永遠の 命に 至る 實を 集めている． こうして， 種を 蒔く 人も 刈る 人も， 共に 喜ぶのである．

- But He said to them, "I have food to eat that you do not know about."
- So the disciples were saying to one another, "No one brought Him anything to eat, did he?"
- Jesus said to them, "My food is to do the will of Him who sent Me and to accomplish His work.
- "Do you not say, 'There are yet four months, and then comes the harvest'? Behold, I say to you, lift up your eyes and look on the fields, that they are white for harvest.
- "Already he who reaps is receiving wages and is gathering fruit for life eternal; so that he who sows and he who reaps may rejoice together.

- そこで， 『一人が 種を 蒔き， 別の 人が 刈り 入れる 』ということわざのとおりになる．
- あなたがたが 自分では 勞苦しなかったものを 刈り 入れるために， わたしはあなたがたを 遣わした． 他の 人¿が 勞苦し， あなたがたはその 勞苦の 實りにあずかっている． 」
- さて， その 町の 多くの サマリア 人は， 「この 方が， わたしの 行ったことをすべて 言い 當てました 」と 證言した 女の 言葉によって， イエス を 信じた．
- そこで， この サマリア 人たちは イエス のもとにやって 來て， 自分たちのところにとどまるようにと 賴んだ． イエス は， 二日間そこに 滯在された．
- そして， 更に 多くの 人¿が， イエス の 言葉を 聞いて 信じた．

- "For in this case the saying is true, 'One sows and another reaps.'
- "I sent you to reap that for which you have not labored; others have labored and you have entered into their labor."
- From that city many of the Samaritans believed in Him because of the word of the woman who testified, "He told me all the things that I have done."
- So when the Samaritans came to Jesus, they were asking Him to stay with them; and He stayed there two days.
- Many more believed because of His word;

- 彼らは 女に 言った． 「わたしたちが 信じるのは， もうあなたが 話してくれたからではない． わたしたちは 自分で 聞いて， この 方が 本當に 世の 救い 主であると 分かったからです． 」

- and they were saying to the woman, "It is no longer because of what you said that we believe, for we have heard for ourselves and know that this One is indeed the Savior of the world."
