- さて， 祭りのとき 禮拜するために エルサレム に 上って 來た 人¿の 中に， 何人かの ギリシア 人がいた．
- 彼らは， ガリラヤ の ベトサイダ 出身の フィリポ のもとへ 來て， 「お 願いです． イエス にお 目にかかりたいのです 」と 賴んだ．
- フィリポ は 行って アンデレ に 話し， アンデレ と フィリポ は 行って， イエス に 話した．
- イエス はこうお 答えになった． 「人の 子が 榮光を 受ける 時が 來た．
- はっきり 言っておく． 一粒の 麥は， 地に 落ちて 死ななければ， 一粒のままである． だが， 死ねば， 多くの 實を 結ぶ．

- Now there were some Greeks among those who were going up to worship at the feast;
- these then came to Philip, who was from Bethsaida of Galilee, and began to ask him, saying, "Sir, we wish to see Jesus."
- Philip came and told Andrew; Andrew and Philip came and told Jesus.
- And Jesus answered them, saying, "The hour has come for the Son of Man to be glorified.
- "Truly, truly, I say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies, it remains alone; but if it dies, it bears much fruit.

- 自分の 命を 愛する 者は， それを 失うが， この 世で 自分の 命を 憎む 人は， それを 保って 永遠の 命に 至る．
- わたしに 仕えようとする 者は， わたしに 從え． そうすれば， わたしのいるところに， わたしに 仕える 者もいることになる． わたしに 仕える 者がいれば， 父はその 人を 大切にしてくださる． 」
- 「今， わたしは 心¿ぐ． 何と 言おうか． 『父よ， わたしをこの 時から 救ってください 』と 言おうか． しかし， わたしはまさにこの 時のために 來たのだ．
- 父よ， 御名の 榮光を 現してください． 」すると， 天から 聲が 聞こえた． 「わたしは 旣に 榮光を 現した． 再び 榮光を 現そう． 」
- そばにいた 群衆は， これを 聞いて， 「雷が 鳴った 」と 言い， ほかの 者たちは「天使がこの 人に 話しかけたのだ 」と 言った．

- "He who loves his life loses it, and he who hates his life in this world will keep it to life eternal.
- "If anyone serves Me, he must follow Me; and where I am, there My servant will be also; if anyone serves Me, the Father will honor him.
- "Now My soul has become troubled; and what shall I say, 'Father, save Me from this hour'? But for this purpose I came to this hour.
- "Father, glorify Your name " Then a voice came out of heaven: "I have both glorified it, and will glorify it again."
- So the crowd of people who stood by and heard it were saying that it had thundered; others were saying, "An angel has spoken to Him."

- イエス は 答えて 言われた． 「この 聲が 聞こえたのは， わたしのためではなく， あなたがたのためだ．
- 今こそ， この 世が 裁かれる 時． 今， この 世の 支配者が 追放される．
- わたしは 地上から 上げられるとき， すべての 人を 自分のもとへ 引き 寄せよう． 」
- イエス は， 御自分がどのような 死を 遂げるかを 示そうとして， こう 言われたのである．
- すると， 群衆は 言葉を 返した． 「わたしたちは 律法によって， メシア は 永遠にいつもおられると 聞いていました． それなのに， 人の 子は 上げられなければならない， とどうして 言われるのですか． その『人の 子 』とはだれのことですか． 」

- Jesus answered and said, "This voice has not come for My sake, but for your sakes.
- "Now judgment is upon this world; now the ruler of this world will be cast out.
- "And I, if I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all men to Myself."
- But He was saying this to indicate the kind of death by which He was to die.
- The crowd then answered Him, "We have heard out of the Law that the Christ is to remain forever; and how can You say, 'The Son of Man must be lifted up'? Who is this Son of Man?"

- イエス は 言われた． 「光は， いましばらく， あなたがたの 間にある． 暗闇に 追いつかれないように， 光のあるうちに 步きなさい． 暗闇の 中を 步く 者は， 自分がどこへ 行くのか 分からない．
- 光の 子となるために， 光のあるうちに， 光を 信じなさい． 」 イエス はこれらのことを 話してから， 立ち 去って 彼らから 身を 隱された．
- このように 多くのしるしを 彼らの 目の 前で 行われたが， 彼らは イエス を 信じなかった．
- 預言者 イザヤ の 言葉が 實現するためであった． 彼はこう 言っている． 「主よ， だれがわたしたちの 知らせを 信じましたか． 主の 御腕は， だれに 示されましたか． 」
- 彼らが 信じることができなかった 理由を， イザヤ はまた 次のように 言っている．

- So Jesus said to them, "For a little while longer the Light is among you Walk while you have the Light, so that darkness will not overtake you; he who walks in the darkness does not know where he goes.
- "While you have the Light, believe in the Light, so that you may become sons of Light " These things Jesus spoke, and He went away and hid Himself from them.
- But though He had performed so many signs before them, yet they were not believing in Him.
- This was to fulfill the word of Isaiah the prophet which he spoke: "LORD, WHO HAS BELIEVED OUR REPORT? AND TO WHOM HAS THE ARM OF THE LORD BEEN REVEALED?"
- For this reason they could not believe, for Isaiah said again,

- 「神は 彼らの 目を 見えなくし， ／その 心をかたくなにされた． こうして， 彼らは 目で 見ることなく， ／心で 悟らず， 立ち 歸らない． わたしは 彼らをいやさない． 」
- イザヤ は， イエス の 榮光を 見たので， このように 言い， イエス について 語ったのである．
- とはいえ， 議員の 中にも イエス を 信じる 者は 多かった． ただ， 會堂から 追放されるのを 恐れ， ファリサイ 派の 人¿をはばかって 公に 言い 表さなかった．
- 彼らは， 神からの 譽れよりも， 人間からの 譽れの 方を 好んだのである．
- イエス は 叫んで， こう 言われた． 「わたしを 信じる 者は， わたしを 信じるのではなくて， わたしを 遣わされた 方を 信じるのである．

- "HE HAS BLINDED THEIR EYES AND HE HARDENED THEIR HEART, SO THAT THEY WOULD NOT SEE WITH THEIR EYES AND PERCEIVE WITH THEIR HEART, AND BE CONVERTED AND I HEAL THEM."
- These things Isaiah said because he saw His glory, and he spoke of Him.
- Nevertheless many even of the rulers believed in Him, but because of the Pharisees they were not confessing Him, for fear that they would be put out of the synagogue;
- for they loved the approval of men rather than the approval of God.
- And Jesus cried out and said, "He who believes in Me, does not believe in Me but in Him who sent Me.

- わたしを 見る 者は， わたしを 遣わされた 方を 見るのである．
- わたしを 信じる 者が， だれも 暗闇の 中にとどまることのないように， わたしは 光として 世に 來た．
- わたしの 言葉を 聞いて， それを 守らない 者がいても， わたしはその 者を 裁かない． わたしは， 世を 裁くためではなく， 世を 救うために 來たからである．
- わたしを 拒み， わたしの 言葉を 受け 入れない 者に 對しては， 裁くものがある． わたしの 語った 言葉が， 終わりの 日にその 者を 裁く．
- なぜなら， わたしは 自分勝手に 語ったのではなく， わたしをお 遣わしになった 父が， わたしの 言うべきこと， 語るべきことをお 命じになったからである．

- "He who sees Me sees the One who sent Me.
- "I have come as Light into the world, so that everyone who believes in Me will not remain in darkness.
- "If anyone hears My sayings and does not keep them, I do not judge him; for I did not come to judge the world, but to save the world.
- "He who rejects Me and does not receive My sayings, has one who judges him; the word I spoke is what will judge him at the last day.
- "For I did not speak on My own initiative, but the Father Himself who sent Me has given Me a commandment as to what to say and what to speak.

- 父の 命令は 永遠の 命であることを， わたしは 知っている． だから， わたしが 語ることは， 父がわたしに 命じられたままに 語っているのである． 」
|
- "I know that His commandment is eternal life; therefore the things I speak, I speak just as the Father has told Me."
