	사무엘하 12:1-13:39 밧세바 사건에 대하여 나단의 책망과 경고를 들은 다윗은 즉시로 죄를 자백하고 회개했다. 하나님께서는 이 사건으로 인해 다윗의 집안에 재난이 끊이지 않으리라는 경고의 말씀을 하시고, 밧세바의 아이의 생명을 거둬 가셨다. 그 말씀대로 다윗의 장자 암논이 누이 다말을 강제 추행하고 내어 버리는 사건이 일어났다. 이 일을 알게 된 다말의 친오라비 압살롬은 암논을 보복 살해했다.

	나단의 책망과 다윗의 회개(12:1-12:31)

主はナタンをダビデのもとに遣わされた．ナタンは來て，次のように語った．「二人の男がある町にいた．一人は豊かで，一人は貧しかった．

豊かな男は非常に多くの羊や牛を持っていた．

貧しい男は自分で買った一匹の雌の小羊のほかに／何一つ持っていなかった．彼はその小羊を養い／小羊は彼のもとで育ち，息子たちと一緖にいて／彼の皿から食べ，彼の椀から飮み／彼のふところで眠り，彼にとっては娘のようだった．

ある日，豊かな男に一人の客があった．彼は訪れて來た旅人をもてなすのに／自分の羊や牛を惜しみ／貧しい男の小羊を取り上げて／自分の客に振る舞った．」

ダビデはその男に激怒し，ナタンに言った．「主は生きておられる．そんなことをした男は死罪だ．

Then the LORD sent Nathan to David And he came to him and said, "There were two men in one city, the one rich and the other poor.

"The rich man had a great many flocks and herds.

"But the poor man had nothing except one little ewe lamb Which he bought and nourished; And it grew up together with him and his children. It would eat of his bread and drink of his cup and lie in his bosom, And was like a daughter to him.

"Now a traveler came to the rich man, And he was unwilling to take from his own flock or his own herd, To prepare for the wayfarer who had come to him; Rather he took the poor man's ewe lamb and prepared it for the man who had come to him."

Then David's anger burned greatly against the man, and he said to Nathan, "As the LORD lives, surely the man who has done this deserves to die.

小羊の償いに四倍の價を拂うべきだ．そんな無慈悲なことをしたのだから．」

ナタンはダビデに向かって言った．「その男はあなただ．イスラエルの神，主はこう言われる．『あなたに油を注いでイスラエルの王としたのはわたしである．わたしがあなたをサウルの手から救い出し，

あなたの主君であった者の家をあなたに與え，その妻たちをあなたのふところに置き，イスラエルとユダの家をあなたに與えたのだ．不足なら，何であれ加えたであろう．

なぜ主の言葉を侮り，わたしの意に背くことをしたのか．あなたはヘト人ウリヤを劍にかけ，その妻を奪って自分の妻とした．ウリヤをアンモン人の劍で殺したのはあなただ．

それゆえ，劍はとこしえにあなたの家から去らないであろう．あなたがわたしを侮り，ヘト人ウリヤの妻を奪って自分の妻としたからだ．』

"He must make restitution for the lamb fourfold, because he did this thing and had no compassion."

Nathan then said to David, "You are the man! Thus says the LORD God of Israel, 'It is I who anointed you king over Israel and it is I who delivered you from the hand of Saul.

'I also gave you your master's house and your master's wives into your care, and I gave you the house of Israel and Judah; and if that had been too little, I would have added to you many more things like these!

'Why have you despised the word of the LORD by doing evil in His sight? You have struck down Uriah the Hittite with the sword, have taken his wife to be your wife, and have killed him with the sword of the sons of Ammon.

'Now therefore, the sword shall never depart from your house, because you have despised Me and have taken the wife of Uriah the Hittite to be your wife.'

主はこう言われる．『見よ，わたしはあなたの家の者の中からあなたに對して惡を ¿く者を起こそう．あなたの目の前で妻たちを取り上げ，あなたの隣人に與える．彼はこの太陽の下であなたの妻たちと床を共にするであろう．

あなたは隱れて行ったが，わたしはこれを全イスラエルの前で，太陽の下で行う．』」

ダビデはナタンに言った．「わたしは主に罪を犯した．」ナタンはダビデに言った．「その主があなたの罪を取り除かれる．あなたは死の罰を免れる．

しかし，このようなことをして主を甚だしく輕んじたのだから，生まれてくるあなたの子は必ず死ぬ．」

ナタンは自分の家に歸って行った．主はウリヤの妻が産んだダビデの子を打たれ，その子は弱っていった．

"Thus says the LORD, 'Behold, I will raise up evil against you from your own household; I will even take your wives before your eyes and give them to your companion, and he will lie with your wives in broad daylight.

'Indeed you did it secretly, but I will do this thing before all Israel, and under the sun.'"

Then David said to Nathan, "I have sinned against the LORD " And Nathan said to David, "The LORD also has taken away your sin; you shall not die.

"However, because by this deed you have given occasion to the enemies of the LORD to blaspheme, the child also that is born to you shall surely die."

So Nathan went to his house.

ダビデはその子のために神に願い求め，斷食した．彼は引きこもり，地面に橫たわって夜を過ごした．

王家の長老たちはその傍らに立って，王を地面から起き上がらせようとしたが，ダビデはそれを望まず，彼らと共に食事をとろうともしなかった．

七日目にその子は死んだ．家臣たちは，その子が死んだとダビデに告げるのを恐れ，こう話し合った．「お子樣がまだ生きておられたときですら，何を申し上げてもわたしたちの聲に耳を傾けてくださらなかったのに，どうして亡くなられたとお傳えできよう．何かよくないことをなさりはしまいか．」

ダビデは家臣がささやき合っているのを見て，子が死んだと悟り，言った．「あの子は死んだのか．」彼らは答えた．「お亡くなりになりました．」

ダビデは地面から起き上がり，身を洗って香油を塗り，衣を替え，主の家に行って禮拜した．王宮に戾ると，命じて食べ物を用意させ，食事をした．

David therefore inquired of God for the child; and David fasted and went and lay all night on the ground.

The elders of his household stood beside him in order to raise him up from the ground, but he was unwilling and would not eat food with them.

Then it happened on the seventh day that the child died. And the servants of David were afraid to tell him that the child was dead, for they said, "Behold, while the child was still alive, we spoke to him and he did not listen to our voice. How then can we tell him that the child is dead, since he might do himself harm!"

But when David saw that his servants were whispering together, David perceived that the child was dead; so David said to his servants, "Is the child dead?" And they said, "He is dead."

So David arose from the ground, washed, anointed himself, and changed his clothes; and he came into the house of the LORD and worshiped. Then he came to his own house, and when he requested, they set food before him and he ate.

家臣は尋ねた．「どうしてこのようにふるまわれるのですか．お子樣の生きておられるときは斷食してお泣きになり，お子樣が亡くなられると起き上がって食事をなさいます．」

彼は言った．「子がまだ生きている間は，主がわたしを憐れみ，子を生かしてくださるかもしれないと思ったからこそ，斷食して泣いたのだ．

だが死んでしまった．斷食したところで，何になろう．あの子を呼び戾せようか．わたしはいずれあの子のところに行く．しかし，あの子がわたしのもとに歸って來ることはない．」

ダビデは妻バト · シェバを慰め，彼女のところに行って床を共にした．バト · シェバは男の子を産み，ダビデはその子をソロモンと名付けた．主はその子を愛され，

預言者ナタンを通してそのことを示されたので，主のゆえにその子をエディドヤ（主に愛された者）とも名付けた．

Then his servants said to him, "What is this thing that you have done? While the child was alive, you fasted and wept; but when the child died, you arose and ate food."

He said, "While the child was still alive, I fasted and wept; for I said, 'Who knows, the LORD may be gracious to me, that the child may live.'

"But now he has died; why should I fast? Can I bring him back again? I will go to him, but he will not return to me."

Then David comforted his wife Bathsheba, and went in to her and lay with her; and she gave birth to a son, and he named him Solomon. Now the LORD loved him

and sent word through Nathan the prophet, and he named him Jedidiah for the LORD'S sake.

ヨアブはアンモン人の町ラバと戰い，この王の町を陷れた．

ヨアブは使者をダビデに送って言わせた．「わたしはラバと戰い，『水の町』を陷れました．

直ちに殘りの兵士を集結させ，この町に對して陣を敷き，陷れてください．わたしがこの町を陷れると，この町はわたしの名で呼ばれてしまいます．」

ダビデは兵士全員を集結させ，ラバに出擊して戰い，これを陷れた．

ダビデはその王の冠を王の頭から奪い取った．それは一キカルの金で作られ，寶石で飾られていた．これはダビデの頭を飾ることになった．ダビデがこの町から奪い去った戰利品はおびただしかった．

Now Joab fought against Rabbah of the sons of Ammon and captured the royal city.

Joab sent messengers to David and said, "I have fought against Rabbah, I have even captured the city of waters.

"Now therefore, gather the rest of the people together and camp against the city and capture it, or I will capture the city myself and it will be named after me."

So David gathered all the people and went to Rabbah, fought against it and captured it.

Then he took the crown of their king from his head; and its weight was a talent of gold, and in it was a precious stone; and it was placed on David's head. And he brought out the spoil of the city in great amounts.

そこにいた人¿を引き出し，のこぎり，鐵のつるはし，鐵の斧を持たせて ¿かせ，れんが作りをさせた．また，アンモン人のほかの町¿もすべてこのようにした．それからダビデと兵士は皆，エルサレムに凱旋した．

He also brought out the people who were in it, and set them under saws, sharp iron instruments, and iron axes, and made them pass through the brickkiln. And thus he did to all the cities of the sons of Ammon. Then David and all the people returned to Jerusalem.

	암논과 다말(13:1-13:19)

その後，こういうことがあった．ダビデの子アブサロムにタマルという美しい妹がいた．ダビデの子アムノンはタマルを愛していた．

しかしタマルは處女で，手出しをすることは思いもよらなかったので，妹タマルへの思いにアムノンは病氣になりそうであった．

アムノンにはヨナダブという名の友人がいた．ヨナダブはダビデの兄弟シムアの息子で大變賢い男であった．

ヨナダブはアムノンに言った．「王子よ，朝ごとに君はやつれていく．どうかしたのか．どうして打ち明けないのだ．」アムノンは彼に言った．「兄弟アブサロムの妹タマルを愛しているのだ．」

ヨナダブは言った．「病氣を裝って床に就くとよい．父上が見舞いに來られたら，『妹タマルをよこしてください．何か食べ物を作らせます．わたしに見えるように，目の前で料理をさせてください．タマルの手から食べたいのです』と言ったらよい．」

Now it was after this that Absalom the son of David had a beautiful sister whose name was Tamar, and Amnon the son of David loved her.

Amnon was so frustrated because of his sister Tamar that he made himself ill, for she was a virgin, and it seemed hard to Amnon to do anything to her.

But Amnon had a friend whose name was Jonadab, the son of Shimeah, David's brother; and Jonadab was a very shrewd man.

He said to him, "O son of the king, why are you so depressed morning after morning? Will you not tell me?" Then Amnon said to him, "I am in love with Tamar, the sister of my brother Absalom."

Jonadab then said to him, "Lie down on your bed and pretend to be ill; when your father comes to see you, say to him, 'Please let my sister Tamar come and give me some food to eat, and let her prepare the food in my sight, that I may see it and eat from her hand.'"

アムノンは床に就き，病を裝った．王が見舞いに來ると，アムノンは王に言った．「どうか妹のタマルをよこしてください．目の前でレビボット（『心』という菓子）を二つ作らせます．タマルの手から食べたいのです．」

ダビデは宮殿にいるタマルのもとに人をやって，兄アムノンの家に行き，料理をするように，と傳えさせた．

タマルが兄アムノンの家に來てみると，彼は床に就いていた．タマルは粉を取ってこね，アムノンの目の前でレビボットを作って燒き，

鍋を取って彼の前に出した．しかしアムノンは食べようとせず，そばにいた者を皆，出て行かせた．彼らが皆出て行くと，

アムノンはタマルに言った．「料理をこちらの部屋に持って來てくれ．お前の手から食べたいのだ．」タマルが，作ったレビボットを持って兄アムノンのいる部屋に入り，

So Amnon lay down and pretended to be ill; when the king came to see him, Amnon said to the king, "Please let my sister Tamar come and make me a couple of cakes in my sight, that I may eat from her hand."

Then David sent to the house for Tamar, saying, "Go now to your brother Amnon's house, and prepare food for him."

So Tamar went to her brother Amnon's house, and he was lying down. And she took dough, kneaded it, made cakes in his sight, and baked the cakes.

She took the pan and dished them out before him, but he refused to eat. And Amnon said, "Have everyone go out from me." So everyone went out from him.

Then Amnon said to Tamar, "Bring the food into the bedroom, that I may eat from your hand." So Tamar took the cakes which she had made and brought them into the bedroom to her brother Amnon.

彼に食べさせようと近づくと，アムノンはタマルを捕らえて言った．「妹よ，おいで．わたしと寢てくれ．」

タマルは言った．「いけません，兄上．わたしを辱めないでください．イスラエルでは許されないことです．愚かなことをなさらないでください．

わたしは，このような恥をどこへもって行けましょう．あなたも，イスラエルでは愚か者の一人になってしまいます．どうぞまず王にお話しください．王はあなたにわたしを與えるのを拒まれないでしょう．」

アムノンは彼女の言うことを聞こうとせず，力ずくで辱め，彼女と床を共にした．

そして，アムノンは激しい憎しみを彼女に覺えた．その憎しみは，彼女を愛したその愛よりも激しかった．アムノンは彼女に言った．「立て．出て行け．」

When she brought them to him to eat, he took hold of her and said to her, "Come, lie with me, my sister."

But she answered him, "No, my brother, do not violate me, for such a thing is not done in Israel; do not do this disgraceful thing!

"As for me, where could I get rid of my reproach? And as for you, you will be like one of the fools in Israel. Now therefore, please speak to the king, for he will not withhold me from you."

However, he would not listen to her; since he was stronger than she, he violated her and lay with her.

Then Amnon hated her with a very great hatred; for the hatred with which he hated her was greater than the love with which he had loved her. And Amnon said to her, "Get up, go away!"

タマルは言った．「いいえ，わたしを追い出すのは，今なさったことよりも大きな惡です．」だがアムノンは聞き入れようともせず，

自分に仕える從者を呼び，「この女をここから追い出せ．追い出したら戶に錠をおろせ」と命じた．

タマルは未婚の王女のしきたりによって飾り付きの上着を着ていたが，アムノンに仕える從者が彼女を追い出し，背後で戶に錠をおろすと，

タマルは灰を頭にかぶり，まとっていた上着を引き裂き，手を頭に當てて嘆きの叫びをあげながら步いて行った．

But she said to him, "No, because this wrong in sending me away is greater than the other that you have done to me!" Yet he would not listen to her.

Then he called his young man who attended him and said, "Now throw this woman out of my presence, and lock the door behind her."

Now she had on a long-sleeved garment; for in this manner the virgin daughters of the king dressed themselves in robes. Then his attendant took her out and locked the door behind her.

Tamar put ashes on her head and tore her long-sleeved garment which was on her; and she put her hand on her head and went away, crying aloud as she went.

	압살롬의 보복(13:20-13:39)

兄アブサロムは彼女に言った．「兄アムノンがお前と一緖だったのか．妹よ，今は何も言うな．彼はお前の兄だ．このことを心にかけてはいけない．」タマルは絶望して兄アブサロムの家に身を置いた．

ダビデ王は事の一部始終を聞き，激しく怒った．

アブサロムはアムノンに對して，いいとも惡いとも一切語らなかった．妹タマルを辱められ，アブサロムはアムノンを憎惡した．

それから二年たった．エフライムに接するバアル · ハツォルにアブサロムの羊の毛を刈る者が集まった．アブサロムは王子全員を招待し，

王のもとに行って願った．「僕は羊の毛を刈る者を集めました．どうぞ王御自身，家臣を率いて，僕と共にお出かけください．」

Then Absalom her brother said to her, "Has Amnon your brother been with you? But now keep silent, my sister, he is your brother; do not take this matter to heart." So Tamar remained and was desolate in her brother Absalom's house.

Now when King David heard of all these matters, he was very angry.

But Absalom did not speak to Amnon either good or bad; for Absalom hated Amnon because he had violated his sister Tamar.

Now it came about after two full years that Absalom had sheepshearers in Baal-hazor, which is near Ephraim, and Absalom invited all the king's sons.

Absalom came to the king and said, "Behold now, your servant has sheepshearers; please let the king and his servants go with your servant."

王はアブサロムに言った．「いや，わが子よ，全員で行くこともあるまい．お前の重荷になってはいけない．」アブサロムは懇願したが，ダビデは出かけることを望まず，ただ祝福を與えた．

アブサロムは言った．「それなら，兄アムノンをわたしたちと共に行かせてください．」王は彼に，「なぜアムノンを同行させるのか」と言ったが，

アブサロムが重ねて懇願したので，アムノンと王子全員をアブサロムに同行させた．

アブサロムは自分の從者たちに命じて言った．「いいか．アムノンが酒に醉って上機嫌になったとき，わたしがアムノンを討てと命じたら，アムノンを殺せ．恐れるな．これはわたしが命令するのだ．勇氣を持て．勇敢な者となれ．」

從者たちは，アブサロムの命令どおりアムノンに襲いかかった．王子は全員立ってそれぞれのらばに乘り，逃げ出した．

But the king said to Absalom, "No, my son, we should not all go, for we will be burdensome to you." Although he urged him, he would not go, but blessed him.

Then Absalom said, "If not, please let my brother Amnon go with us." And the king said to him, "Why should he go with you?"

But when Absalom urged him, he let Amnon and all the king's sons go with him.

Absalom commanded his servants, saying, "See now, when Amnon's heart is merry with wine, and when I say to you, 'Strike Amnon,' then put him to death. Do not fear; have not I myself commanded you? Be courageous and be valiant."

The servants of Absalom did to Amnon just as Absalom had commanded. Then all the king's sons arose and each mounted his mule and fled.

王子がだれも歸り着かないうちに，アブサロムが王子を一人殘らず打ち殺したという知らせがダビデに屆いた．

王は立ち上がると，衣を裂き，地面に身を投げ出した．家臣たちも皆，衣を裂いて傍らに立った．

ダビデの兄弟シムアの息子ヨナダブが斷言した．「主君よ，若い王子たちが皆殺しになったとお考えになりませんように．殺されたのはアムノン一人です．アブサロムは，妹タマルが辱めを受けたあの日以來，これを決めていたのです．

主君，王よ，王子全員が殺害されたなどという言葉を心に留めることはありません．亡くなったのはアムノン一人です．」

アブサロムは逃亡した．見張りの若者が目を上げて眺めると，大勢の人が山腹のホロナイムの道をやって來るのが見えた．

Now it was while they were on the way that the report came to David, saying, "Absalom has struck down all the king's sons, and not one of them is left."

Then the king arose, tore his clothes and lay on the ground; and all his servants were standing by with clothes torn.

Jonadab, the son of Shimeah, David's brother, responded, "Do not let my lord suppose they have put to death all the young men, the king's sons, for Amnon alone is dead; because by the intent of Absalom this has been determined since the day that he violated his sister Tamar.

"Now therefore, do not let my lord the king take the report to heart, namely, 'all the king's sons are dead,' for only Amnon is dead."

Now Absalom had fled And the young man who was the watchman raised his eyes and looked, and behold, many people were coming from the road behind him by the side of the mountain.

ヨナダブは王に言った．「御覽ください．僕が申し上げたとおり，王子たちが歸って來られました．」

ヨナダブがこう言い終えたとき，王子たちが到着した．彼らは聲をあげて泣き，王も家臣も皆，激しく泣いた．

アブサロムは，ゲシュルの王アミフドの子タルマイのもとに逃げた．ダビデはアムノンを悼み續けた．

アブサロムはゲシュルに逃げ，三年間そこにいた．

アムノンの死をあきらめた王の心は，アブサロムを求めていた．

Jonadab said to the king, "Behold, the king's sons have come; according to your servant's word, so it happened."

As soon as he had finished speaking, behold, the king's sons came and lifted their voices and wept; and also the king and all his servants wept very bitterly.

Now Absalom fled and went to Talmai the son of Ammihud, the king of Geshur. And David mourned for his son every day.

So Absalom had fled and gone to Geshur, and was there three years.

The heart of King David longed to go out to Absalom; for he was comforted concerning Amnon, since he was dead.
