열왕기상 3:1-4:34

 일천 번제를 드리며 헌신을 다짐하는 솔로몬에게 하나님께서는 그가 구한 지혜와 함께 부와 영광도 주셨다. 솔로몬은 인재를 등용해 신하로 삼고 각지방을 다스리는 12장관을 세움으로써 평화롭고 부강한 왕국을 이루어 나갔다. 이러한 솔로몬의 지혜와 부요함은 세상에 널리 알려졌다.
  
  솔로몬의 지혜(3:1-3:28)    
 
  1. ソロモン は， エジプト の 王 ファラオ の ¿となった． 彼は ファラオ の 娘を 王妃として ダビデ の 町に 迎え 入れ， 宮殿， 神殿， エルサレム を 圍む 城壁の 造營が 終わるのを 待った．
  2. 當時はまだ 主の 御名のために 神殿が 建てられていなかったので， 民は 聖なる 高台でいけにえをささげていた．
  3. ソロモン は 主を 愛し， 父 ダビデ の 授けた ¿に 從って 步んだが， 彼も 聖なる 高台でいけにえをささげ， 香をたいていた．
  4. 王はいけにえをささげるために ギブオン へ 行った． そこに 重要な 聖なる 高台があったからである． ソロモン はその 祭壇に 一千頭もの 燒き 盡くす 獻げ 物をささげた．
  5. その 夜， 主は ギブオン で ソロモン の 夢枕に 立ち， 「何事でも 願うがよい． あなたに 與えよう 」と 言われた．
  1. Then Solomon formed a marriage alliance with Pharaoh king of Egypt, and took Pharaoh's daughter and brought her to the city of David until he had finished building his own house and the house of the LORD and the wall around Jerusalem.
  2. The people were still sacrificing on the high places, because there was no house built for the name of the LORD until those days.
  3. Now Solomon loved the LORD, walking in the statutes of his father David, except he sacrificed and burned incense on the high places.
  4. The king went to Gibeon to sacrifice there, for that was the great high place; Solomon offered a thousand burnt offerings on that altar.
  5. In Gibeon the LORD appeared to Solomon in a dream at night; and God said, "Ask what you wish me to give you."
  1. ソロモン は 答えた． 「あなたの 僕， わたしの 父 ダビデ は 忠實に， 憐れみ 深く 正しい 心をもって 御前を 步んだので， あなたは 父に 豊かな 慈しみをお 示しになりました． またあなたはその 豊かな 慈しみを 絶やすことなくお 示しになって， 今日， その 王座につく 子を 父に 與えられました．
  2. わが 神， 主よ， あなたは 父 ダビデ に 代わる 王として， この 僕をお 立てになりました． しかし， わたしは 取るに 足らない 若者で， どのようにふるまうべきかを 知りません．
  3. 僕はあなたのお 選びになった 民の 中にいますが， その 民は 多く， 數えることも 調べることもできないほどです．
  4. どうか， あなたの 民を 正しく 裁き， 善と 惡を 判斷することができるように， この 僕に 聞き 分ける 心をお 與えください． そうでなければ， この 數多いあなたの 民を 裁くことが， 誰にできましょう． 」
  5. 主は ソロモン のこの 願いをお 喜びになった．
  1. Then Solomon said, "You have shown great lovingkindness to Your servant David my father, according as he walked before You in truth and righteousness and uprightness of heart toward You; and You have reserved for him this great lovingkindness, that You have given him a son to sit on his throne, as it is this day.
  2. "Now, O LORD my God, You have made Your servant king in place of my father David, yet I am but a little child; I do not know how to go out or come in.
  3. "Your servant is in the midst of Your people which You have chosen, a great people who are too many to be numbered or counted.
  4. "So give Your servant an understanding heart to judge Your people to discern between good and evil. For who is able to judge this great people of Yours?"
  5. It was pleasing in the sight of the Lord that Solomon had asked this thing.
  1. 神はこう 言われた． 「あなたは 自分のために 長壽を 求めず， 富を 求めず， また 敵の 命も 求めることなく， 訴えを 正しく 聞き 分ける 知惠を 求めた．
  2. 見よ， わたしはあなたの 言葉に 從って， 今あなたに 知惠に 滿ちた 賢明な 心を 與える． あなたの 先にも 後にもあなたに ¿ぶ 者はいない．
  3. わたしはまた， あなたの 求めなかったもの， 富と 榮光も 與える． 生涯にわたってあなたと 肩を ¿べうる 王は 一人もいない．
  4. もしあなたが 父 ダビデ の 步んだように， わたしの ¿と 戒めを 守って， わたしの 道を 步むなら， あなたに 長壽をも 惠もう． 」
  5. ソロモン は 目を 覺まして， それが 夢だと 知った． ソロモン は エルサレム に 歸り， 主の 契約の 箱の 前に 立って， 燒き 盡くす 獻げ 物と 和解の 獻げ 物をささげ， 家臣のすべてを 招いて 宴を 張った．
  1. God said to him, "Because you have asked this thing and have not asked for yourself long life, nor have asked riches for yourself, nor have you asked for the life of your enemies, but have asked for yourself discernment to understand justice,
  2. behold, I have done according to your words Behold, I have given you a wise and discerning heart, so that there has been no one like you before you, nor shall one like you arise after you.
  3. "I have also given you what you have not asked, both riches and honor, so that there will not be any among the kings like you all your days.
  4. "If you walk in My ways, keeping My statutes and commandments, as your father David walked, then I will prolong your days."
  5. Then Solomon awoke, and behold, it was a dream And he came to Jerusalem and stood before the ark of the covenant of the Lord, and offered burnt offerings and made peace offerings, and made a feast for all his servants.
  1. そのころ， 遊女が 二人王のもとに 來て， その 前に 立った．
  2. 一人はこう 言った． 「王樣， よろしくお 願いします． わたしはこの 人と 同じ 家に 住んでいて， その 家で， この 人のいるところでお 産をしました．
  3. 三日後に， この 人もお 産をしました． わたしたちは 一緖に 家にいて， ほかにだれもいず， わたしたちは 二人きりでした．
  4. ある 晩のこと， この 人は 寢ているときに 赤ん 坊に 寄りかかったため， この 人の 赤ん 坊が 死んでしまいました．
  5. そこで 夜中に 起きて， わたしの 眠っている 間にわたしの 赤ん 坊を 取って 自分のふところに 寢かせ， 死んだ 子をわたしのふところに 寢かせたのです．
  1. Then two women who were harlots came to the king and stood before him.
  2. The one woman said, "Oh, my lord, this woman and I live in the same house; and I gave birth to a child while she was in the house.
  3. "It happened on the third day after I gave birth, that this woman also gave birth to a child, and we were together. There was no stranger with us in the house, only the two of us in the house.
  4. "This woman's son died in the night, because she lay on it.
  5. "So she arose in the middle of the night and took my son from beside me while your maidservant slept, and laid him in her bosom, and laid her dead son in my bosom.
  1. わたしが 朝起きて 自分の 子に 乳をふくませようとしたところ， 子供は 死んでいるではありませんか． その 朝子供をよく 見ますと， わたしの 産んだ 子ではありませんでした． 」
  2. もう 一人の 女が 言った． 「いいえ， 生きているのがわたしの 子で， 死んだのがあなたの 子です． 」さきの 女は 言った． 「いいえ， 死んだのはあなたの 子で， 生きているのがわたしの 子です． 」二人は 王の 前で 言い 爭った．
  3. 王は 言った． 「『生きているのがわたしの 子で， 死んだのはあなたの 子だ 』と 一人が 言えば， もう 一人は， 『いいえ， 死んだのはあなたの 子で， 生きているのがわたしの 子だ 』と 言う． 」
  4. そして 王は， 「劍を 持って 來るように 」と 命じた． 王の 前に 劍が 持って 來られると，
  5. 王は 命じた． 「生きている 子を 二つに 裂き， 一人に 半分を， もう 一人に 他の 半分を 與えよ． 」
  1. "When I rose in the morning to nurse my son, behold, he was dead; but when I looked at him carefully in the morning, behold, he was not my son, whom I had borne."
  2. Then the other woman said, "No! For the living one is my son, and the dead one is your son." But the first woman said, "No! For the dead one is your son, and the living one is my son." Thus they spoke before the king.
  3. Then the king said, "The one says, 'This is my son who is living, and your son is the dead one'; and the other says, 'No! For your son is the dead one, and my son is the living one.'"
  4. The king said, "Get me a sword." So they brought a sword before the king.
  5. The king said, "Divide the living child in two, and give half to the one and half to the other."
  1. 生きている 子の 母親は， その 子を 哀れに 思うあまり， 「王樣， お 願いです． この 子を 生かしたままこの 人にあげてください． この 子を 絶對に 殺さないでください 」と 言った． しかし， もう 一人の 女は， 「この 子をわたしのものにも， この 人のものにもしないで， 裂いて 分けてください 」と 言った．
  2. 王はそれに 答えて 宣言した． 「この 子を 生かしたまま， さきの 女に 與えよ． この 子を 殺してはならない． その 女がこの 子の 母である． 」
  3. 王の 下した 裁きを 聞いて， イスラエル の 人¿は 皆， 王を 畏れ 敬うようになった． 神の 知惠が 王のうちにあって， 正しい 裁きを 行うのを 見たからである．
  1. Then the woman whose child was the living one spoke to the king, for she was deeply stirred over her son and said, "Oh, my lord, give her the living child, and by no means kill him." But the other said, "He shall be neither mine nor yours; divide him!"
  2. Then the king said, "Give the first woman the living child, and by no means kill him. She is his mother."
  3. When all Israel heard of the judgment which the king had handed down, they feared the king, for they saw that the wisdom of God was in him to administer justice.
 
  솔로몬의 번영(4:1-4:34)    
 
  1. ソロモン 王は 全 イスラエル の 王となった．
  2. その 高官たちは 次のとおりである． ツァドク の 子 アザルヤ ， 祭司．
  3. シシャ の 二人の 子 エリホレフ と アヒヤ ， 書記官． アヒルド の 子 ヨシャファト ， 補佐官．
  4. ヨヤダ の 子 ベナヤ ， 軍の 司令官． ツァドク と アビアタル ， 祭司．
  5. ナタン の 子 アザルヤ ， 知事の 監督． ナタン の 子 ザブド ， 王の 友で， 祭司．
  1. Now King Solomon was king over all Israel.
  2. These were his officials: Azariah the son of Zadok was the priest;
  3. Elihoreph and Ahijah, the sons of Shisha were secretaries; Jehoshaphat the son of Ahilud was the recorder;
  4. and Benaiah the son of Jehoiada was over the army; and Zadok and Abiathar were priests;
  5. and Azariah the son of Nathan was over the deputies; and Zabud the son of Nathan, a priest, was the king's friend;
  1. アヒシャル ， 宮廷長． アブダ の 子 アドニラム ， 勞役の 監督．
  2. ソロモン は イスラエル 全國に 十二人の 知事を 置いた． 彼らは， 王と 王室の 食糧を 調達した． すなわち， 知事は 各自每年一か 月分の 食糧を 調達することになっていた．

  1. and Ahishar was over the household; and Adoniram the son of Abda was over the men subject to forced labor.
  2. Solomon had twelve deputies over all Israel, who provided for the king and his household; each man had to provide for a month in the year.
  3. These are their names: Ben-hur, in the hill country of Ephraim;
  4. Ben-deker in Makaz and Shaalbim and Beth-shemesh and Elonbeth-hanan;
  5. Ben-hesed, in Arubboth (Socoh was his and all the land of Hepher);
  1. ベン · アビナダブ ―― ドル の 高地全域． ソロモン の 娘 タファト がその 妻となった．
  2. アヒルド の 子 バアナ ―― タナク ， メギド ， イズレエル の 下方すなわち ベト · シェアン から アベル · メホラ まで， ヨクメアム の 向こう 側に 至るまでの， ツァレタン のそばの ベト · シェアン の 全域．
  3. ベン · ゲベル ―― ラモト · ギレアド ， ギレアド 地方の マナセ の 子 ヤイル の 村落が 彼の 擔當． バシャン 地方の アルゴブ の 地域も 彼の 擔當． そこには 城壁と 靑銅のかんぬきを 備えた 大きな 町が 六十あった．
  4. イド の 子 アヒナダブ ―― マハナイム 地方．
  5. アヒマアツ ―― ナフタリ 地方． 彼も ソロモン の 娘 バセマト を 妻としていた．
  1. Ben-abinadab, in all the height of Dor (Taphath the daughter of Solomon was his wife);
  2. Baana the son of Ahilud, in Taanach and Megiddo, and all Beth-shean which is beside Zarethan below Jezreel, from Beth-shean to Abel-meholah as far as the other side of Jokmeam;
  3. Ben-geber, in Ramoth-gilead (the towns of Jair, the son of Manasseh, which are in Gilead were his: the region of Argob, which is in Bashan, sixty great cities with walls and bronze bars were his);
  4. Ahinadab the son of Iddo, in Mahanaim;
  5. Ahimaaz, in Naphtali (he also married Basemath the daughter of Solomon);
  1. フシャイ の 子 バアナ ―― アシェル 地方と ベアロト ．
  2. パルア の 子 ヨシャファト ―― イサカル 地方．
  3. エラ の 子 シムイ ―― ベニヤミン 地方．
  4. ウリ の 子 ゲベル ―― アモリ 人の 王 シホン と バシャン の 王 オグ の 領土であった ギレアド 地方． この 地にもう 一人の 知事がいた．
  5. ユダ と イスラエル の 人¿は 海邊の 砂のように 數が 多かった． 彼らは 飮み 食いして 樂しんでいた．
  1. Baana the son of Hushai, in Asher and Bealoth;
  2. Jehoshaphat the son of Paruah, in Issachar;
  3. Shimei the son of Ela, in Benjamin;
  4. Geber the son of Uri, in the land of Gilead, the country of Sihon king of the Amorites and of Og king of Bashan; and he was the only deputy who was in the land.
  5. Judah and Israel were as numerous as the sand that is on the seashore in abundance; they were eating and drinking and rejoicing.
  1. Now Solomon ruled over all the kingdoms from the River to the land of the Philistines and to the border of Egypt; they brought tribute and served Solomon all the days of his life.
  2. Solomon's provision for one day was thirty kors of fine flour and sixty kors of meal,
  3. ten fat oxen, twenty pasture-fed oxen, a hundred sheep besides deer, gazelles, roebucks, and fattened fowl.
  4. For he had dominion over everything west of the River, from Tiphsah even to Gaza, over all the kings west of the River; and he had peace on all sides around about him.
  5. So Judah and Israel lived in safety, every man under his vine and his fig tree, from Dan even to Beersheba, all the days of Solomon.
  1. Solomon had 40,000 stalls of horses for his chariots, and 12,000 horsemen.
  2. Those deputies provided for King Solomon and all who came to King Solomon's table, each in his month; they left nothing lacking.
  3. They also brought barley and straw for the horses and swift steeds to the place where it should be, each according to his charge.
  4. Now God gave Solomon wisdom and very great discernment and breadth of mind, like the sand that is on the seashore.
  5. Solomon's wisdom surpassed the wisdom of all the sons of the east and all the wisdom of Egypt.
  1. For he was wiser than all men, than Ethan the Ezrahite, Heman, Calcol and Darda, the sons of Mahol; and his fame was known in all the surrounding nations.
  2. He also spoke 3,000 proverbs, and his songs were 1,005.
  3. He spoke of trees, from the cedar that is in Lebanon even to the hyssop that grows on the wall; he spoke also of animals and birds and creeping things and fish.
  4. Men came from all peoples to hear the wisdom of Solomon, from all the kings of the earth who had heard of his wisdom.
