	열왕기상 14:1-15:34 하나님의 경고에도 불구하고 우상 숭배의 죄악에서 떠나지 않는 여로보암에게 선지자 아히야는 왕과 그의 후손들이 하나님의 심판으로 비참하게 멸절될 것을 예언하였고, 그 예언대로 여로보암의 아들은 죽고 말았다. 한편 유다 왕 르호보암도 우상 숭배와 도덕적 타락에 빠짐으로써 애굽의 침략을 당하였고, 이후로 남북 왕조는 수많은 전쟁으로 국력이 피폐해 갔다.

	아히야의 예언(14:1-14:20)

そのころ，ヤロブアムの息子アビヤが病氣になった．

ヤロブアムは妻に言った．「立って，ヤロブアムの妻だと知られないように姿を變え，シロに行ってくれ．そこには，わたしがこの民の王になると告げてくれた預言者アヒヤがいる．

パン十個と菓子，それに蜜を一甁持って彼のもとに行け．彼なら幼い子に何が起こるか敎えてくれるだろう．」

ヤロブアムの妻は言われたとおりにした．彼女は立ってシロへ行き，アヒヤの家に着いた．アヒヤは老齡のために目がかすみ，見ることができなくなっていたが，

主はアヒヤにこう告げておられた．「見よ，ヤロブアムの妻が來て，息子のことをあなたに尋ねる．息子は病氣なのだ．あなたはこれこれしかじかと彼女に語れ．彼女は變裝してやって來る．」

At that time Abijah the son of Jeroboam became sick.

Jeroboam said to his wife, "Arise now, and disguise yourself so that they will not know that you are the wife of Jeroboam, and go to Shiloh; behold, Ahijah the prophet is there, who spoke concerning me that I would be king over this people.

"Take ten loaves with you, some cakes and a jar of honey, and go to him. He will tell you what will happen to the boy."

Jeroboam's wife did so, and arose and went to Shiloh, and came to the house of Ahijah Now Ahijah could not see, for his eyes were dim because of his age.

Now the LORD had said to Ahijah, "Behold, the wife of Jeroboam is coming to inquire of you concerning her son, for he is sick. You shall say thus and thus to her, for it will be when she arrives that she will pretend to be another woman."

アヒヤは戶口に着いた彼女の足音を聞いて言った．「ヤロブアムの妻よ，入りなさい．なぜそのように變裝したのか．わたしはあなたにつらいことを告げるように命じられている．

行ってヤロブアムに言いなさい．『イスラエルの神，主はこう言われる．わたしはあなたを民の中から選び出して高め，わが民イスラエルの指導者とし，

ダビデの家から王國を裂いて取り上げ，あなたに與えた．しかし，わが僕ダビデがわたしの戒めを守り，心を盡くしてわたしに從って步み，わたしの目にかなう正しいことだけを行ったのとは異なり，

あなたはこれまでのだれよりも惡を行い，行って自分のために他の神¿や，鑄物の像を造り，わたしを怒らせ，わたしを後ろに捨て去った．

それゆえ，わたしはヤロブアムの家に災いをもたらす．ヤロブアムに屬する者は，イスラエルにおいて縛られている者も，解き放たれている者も，男子であれば，すべて滅ぼし，人が汚物を徹底的にぬぐい去るように，わたしはヤロブアムの家に殘る者をぬぐい去る．

When Ahijah heard the sound of her feet coming in the doorway, he said, "Come in, wife of Jeroboam, why do you pretend to be another woman? For I am sent to you with a harsh message.

"Go, say to Jeroboam, 'Thus says the LORD God of Israel, "Because I exalted you from among the people and made you leader over My people Israel,

and tore the kingdom away from the house of David and gave it to you--yet you have not been like My servant David, who kept My commandments and who followed Me with all his heart, to do only that which was right in My sight;

you also have done more evil than all who were before you, and have gone and made for yourself other gods and molten images to provoke Me to anger, and have cast Me behind your back--

therefore behold, I am bringing calamity on the house of Jeroboam, and will cut off from Jeroboam every male person, both bond and free in Israel, and I will make a clean sweep of the house of Jeroboam, as one sweeps away dung until it is all gone.

ヤロブアムに屬する者は，町で死ねば犬に食われ，野で死ねば空の鳥の餌食になる．まことに主はこう告げられた．』

あなたは立って家に歸るがよい．あなたが足を町に踏み入れるとき，あなたの子は死ぬ．

イスラエルのすべての人¿はこの子を弔い，葬るだろう．まことにヤロブアムに屬する者で墓に入るのは，この子一人であろう．ヤロブアムの家の中でイスラエルの神，主にいくらか良いとされるのはこの子だけだからである．

主は御自分のためにヤロブアムの家を斷つ王をイスラエルの上に立てられる．今日にも，いや，今にもそうされる．

主はイスラエルを打って水邊に ¿れる葦のようにし，その先祖にお與えになった地からイスラエルを引き拔き，ユ ― フラテスのかなたに散らされる．彼らがアシェラ像を造って，主の怒りを招いたからである．

"Anyone belonging to Jeroboam who dies in the city the dogs will eat. And he who dies in the field the birds of the heavens will eat; for the LORD has spoken it."'

"Now you, arise, go to your house. When your feet enter the city the child will die.

"All Israel shall mourn for him and bury him, for he alone of Jeroboam's family will come to the grave, because in him something good was found toward the LORD God of Israel in the house of Jeroboam.

"Moreover, the LORD will raise up for Himself a king over Israel who will cut off the house of Jeroboam this day and from now on.

"For the LORD will strike Israel, as a reed is shaken in the water; and He will uproot Israel from this good land which He gave to their fathers, and will scatter them beyond the Euphrates River, because they have made their Asherim, provoking the LORD to anger.

主は，ヤロブアムが自ら犯し，またイスラエルに犯させた罪のゆえに，イスラエルを引き渡される．」

ヤロブアムの妻は立ち去り，ティルツァに戾った．彼女が家の敷居をまたいだとき，幼いその子は死んだ．

イスラエルのすべての人¿は主がその僕，預言者アヒヤによって告げられた言葉のとおり，彼を葬り，弔った．

"He will give up Israel on account of the sins of Jeroboam, which he committed and with which he made Israel to sin."

Then Jeroboam's wife arose and departed and came to Tirzah As she was entering the threshold of the house, the child died.

All Israel buried him and mourned for him, according to the word of the LORD which He spoke through His servant Ahijah the prophet.

Now the rest of the acts of Jeroboam, how he made war and how he reigned, behold, they are written in the Book of the Chronicles of the Kings of Israel.

The time that Jeroboam reigned was twenty-two years; and he slept with his fathers, and Nadab his son reigned in his place.

	유다의 우상 숭배(14:21-14:31)

ユダではソロモンの子レハブアムが王位についた．レハブアムは四十一歲で王となり，十七年間エルサレムで王位にあった．エルサレムは，主が御名を置くためにイスラエルのすべての部族の中から選ばれた都であった．レハブアムの母は名をナアマと言い，アンモン人であった．

ユダの人¿は，主の目に惡とされることを行い，その犯した罪により，先祖が行ったすべてのことにまさって主を怒らせた．

彼らもまたあらゆる高い丘の上と，茂った木の下に，聖なる高台を築き，石柱，アシェラ像を立てた．

その地には神殿男娼さえいた．彼らは，主がイスラエルの前から追い拂われた諸國の民のすべての忌むべき慣習に從った．

レハブアム王の治世第五年に，エジプトの王シシャクがエルサレムに攻め上って，

Now Rehoboam the son of Solomon reigned in Judah Rehoboam was forty-one years old when he became king, and he reigned seventeen years in Jerusalem, the city which the LORD had chosen from all the tribes of Israel to put His name there. And his mother's name was Naamah the Ammonitess.

Judah did evil in the sight of the LORD, and they provoked Him to jealousy more than all that their fathers had done, with the sins which they committed.

For they also built for themselves high places and sacred pillars and Asherim on every high hill and beneath every luxuriant tree.

There were also male cult prostitutes in the land. They did according to all the abominations of the nations which the LORD dispossessed before the sons of Israel.

Now it happened in the fifth year of King Rehoboam, that Shishak the king of Egypt came up against Jerusalem.

主の神殿と王宮の寶物を奪い取った．彼はすべてを奪い，ソロモンが作った金の盾もすべて奪い取った．

レハブアム王は，その代わりに靑銅の盾を作り，王宮の入り口を守る近衛兵の長たちの手に託した．

王が主の神殿に來る度ごとに，近衛兵たちはその盾を持ち，また近衛兵の詰め所に戾した．

He took away the treasures of the house of the LORD and the treasures of the king's house, and he took everything, even taking all the shields of gold which Solomon had made.

So King Rehoboam made shields of bronze in their place, and committed them to the care of the commanders of the guard who guarded the doorway of the king's house.

Then it happened as often as the king entered the house of the LORD, that the guards would carry them and would bring them back into the guards' room.

Now the rest of the acts of Rehoboam and all that he did, are they not written in the Book of the Chronicles of the Kings of Judah?

There was war between Rehoboam and Jeroboam continually.

レハブアムは先祖と共に眠りにつき，先祖と共にダビデの町に葬られた．その母は名をナアマと言い，アンモン人であった．その子アビヤムがレハブアムに代わって王となった．

And Rehoboam slept with his fathers and was buried with his fathers in the city of David; and his mother's name was Naamah the Ammonitess. And Abijam his son became king in his place.

	아비얌, 아사의 유다 통치(15:1-15:24)

ネバトの子ヤロブアム王の治世第十八年に，アビヤムがユダの王となり，

エルサレムで三年間王位にあった．その母は名をマアカと言い，アビシャロムの娘であった．

彼もまた父がさきに犯したすべての罪を犯し，その心も父祖ダビデの心のようには，自分の神，主と一つではなかった．

彼の神，主は，ただダビデのゆえにエルサレムにともし火をともし，跡を繼ぐ息子を立てて，エルサレムを存續させられた．

ダビデが主の目にかなう正しいことを行い，ヘト人ウリヤの一件のほかは，生涯を通じて主のお命じになったすべてのことに背くことがなかったからである．

Now in the eighteenth year of King Jeroboam, the son of Nebat, Abijam became king over Judah.

He reigned three years in Jerusalem; and his mother's name was Maacah the daughter of Abishalom.

He walked in all the sins of his father which he had committed before him; and his heart was not wholly devoted to the LORD his God, like the heart of his father David.

But for David's sake the LORD his God gave him a lamp in Jerusalem, to raise up his son after him and to establish Jerusalem;

because David did what was right in the sight of the LORD, and had not turned aside from anything that He commanded him all the days of his life, except in the case of Uriah the Hittite.

レハブアムとヤロブアムとの間には，その生涯を通じて戰いが絶えなかった．

アビヤムの他の事績，彼の行ったすべての事は，『ユダの王の歷代誌』の中に記されている．アビヤムとヤロブアムの間にも戰いが續いていた．

アビヤムは先祖と共に眠りにつき，ダビデの町に葬られた．その子アサがアビヤムに代わって王となった．

イスラエルの王ヤロブアムの治世第二十年に，ユダの王としてアサが王位につき，

There was war between Rehoboam and Jeroboam all the days of his life.

Now the rest of the acts of Abijam and all that he did, are they not written in the Book of the Chronicles of the Kings of Judah? And there was war between Abijam and Jeroboam.

And Abijam slept with his fathers and they buried him in the city of David; and Asa his son became king in his place.

So in the twentieth year of Jeroboam the king of Israel, Asa began to reign as king of Judah.

He reigned forty-one years in Jerusalem; and his mother's name was Maacah the daughter of Abishalom.

アサは，父祖ダビデと同じように主の目にかなう正しいことを行い，

神殿男娼をその地から追放し，先祖たちの造った偶像をすべて取り除いた．

また彼は，母マアカがアシェラの憎むべき像を造ったので，彼女を太后の位から退けた．アサはその憎むべき像を切り倒し，キドロンの谷で燒き捨てた．

聖なる高台は取り除かれなかったが，アサの心はその生涯を通じて主と一つであった．

彼は父の聖別した物と自分の聖別した物，銀，金，祭具類を主の神殿に納めた．

Asa did what was right in the sight of the LORD, like David his father.

He also put away the male cult prostitutes from the land and removed all the idols which his fathers had made.

He also removed Maacah his mother from being queen mother, because she had made a horrid image as an Asherah; and Asa cut down her horrid image and burned it at the brook Kidron.

But the high places were not taken away; nevertheless the heart of Asa was wholly devoted to the LORD all his days.

He brought into the house of the LORD the dedicated things of his father and his own dedicated things: silver and gold and utensils.

アサとイスラエルの王バシャの間には，その生涯を通じて戰いが絶えなかった．

イスラエルの王バシャはユダに攻め上って來て，ラマに砦を築き，ユダの王アサの動きを封じようとした．

アサは，神殿と王宮の寶物庫に殘るすべての銀と金を取り出して家臣たちの手にゆだね，彼らをダマスコに住むアラムの王ベン · ハダドに遣わした．その父はタブリモン，祖父はヘズヨンである．アサ王はアラムの王にこう傳えさせた．

「わたしとあなた，わたしの父とあなたの父との間には同盟が結ばれています．わたしはここに銀と金の贈り物をあなたにお屆けします．イスラエルの王バシャとの同盟を直ちに破棄し，彼をわたしから離れ去らせてください．」

ベン · ハダドはアサ王の願いを入れ，配下の軍の長たちをイスラエルの町¿に送り，イヨン，ダン，アベル · ベト · マアカ，キネレトの全域，およびナフタリの全土を攻略させた．

Now there was war between Asa and Baasha king of Israel all their days.

Baasha king of Israel went up against Judah and fortified Ramah in order to prevent anyone from going out or coming in to Asa king of Judah.

Then Asa took all the silver and the gold which were left in the treasuries of the house of the LORD and the treasuries of the king's house, and delivered them into the hand of his servants And King Asa sent them to Ben-hadad the son of Tabrimmon, the son of Hezion, king of Aram, who lived in Damascus, saying,

"Let there be a treaty between you and me, as between my father and your father. Behold, I have sent you a present of silver and gold; go, break your treaty with Baasha king of Israel so that he will withdraw from me."

So Ben-hadad listened to King Asa and sent the commanders of his armies against the cities of Israel, and conquered Ijon, Dan, Abel-beth-maacah and all Chinneroth, besides all the land of Naphtali.

バシャはこれを聞くと，ラマの構築をやめ，ティルツァにとどまった．

アサ王はユダの人¿すべてにもれなく布告し，バシャがラマの構築に用いた石材と木材を運んで來させ，それを用いて，ベニヤミンのゲバとミツパに砦を築いた．

アサの他のすべての事績，そのすべての功績，彼が行ったすべての事，この王が守りを固めた町¿の事は，『ユダの王の歷代誌』に記されている．王は，年老いてから足の病にかかった．

アサは先祖と共に眠りにつき，先祖と共に父祖ダビデの町に葬られた．その子ヨシャファトがアサに代わって王となった．

When Baasha heard of it, he ceased fortifying Ramah and remained in Tirzah.

Then King Asa made a proclamation to all Judah--none was exempt--and they carried away the stones of Ramah and its timber with which Baasha had built. And King Asa built with them Geba of Benjamin and Mizpah.

Now the rest of all the acts of Asa and all his might and all that he did and the cities which he built, are they not written in the Book of the Chronicles of the Kings of Judah? But in the time of his old age he was diseased in his feet.

And Asa slept with his fathers and was buried with his fathers in the city of David his father; and Jehoshaphat his son reigned in his place.

	나답, 바아사의 이스라엘 통치(15:25-15:34)

ユダの王アサの治世第二年に，ヤロブアムの子ナダブがイスラエルの王となり，二年間イスラエルを治めた．

彼は主の目に惡とされることを行って，父と同じ道を步み，イスラエルに罪を犯させた父の罪を繰り返した．

イサカルの家のアヒヤの子バシャは，彼に謀反を起こした．バシャはナダブが全イスラエルを率いてギベトンを包圍しているところを襲い，ペリシテ領ギベトンで彼を擊った．

バシャがナダブを殺し，代わって王となったのは，ユダの王アサの治世第三年のことであった．

Now Nadab the son of Jeroboam became king over Israel in the second year of Asa king of Judah, and he reigned over Israel two years.

He did evil in the sight of the LORD, and walked in the way of his father and in his sin which he made Israel sin.

Then Baasha the son of Ahijah of the house of Issachar conspired against him, and Baasha struck him down at Gibbethon, which belonged to the Philistines, while Nadab and all Israel were laying siege to Gibbethon.

So Baasha killed him in the third year of Asa king of Judah and reigned in his place.

It came about as soon as he was king, he struck down all the household of Jeroboam. He did not leave to Jeroboam any persons alive, until he had destroyed them, according to the word of the LORD, which He spoke by His servant Ahijah the Shilonite,

ヤロブアムが自ら罪を犯し，またイスラエルに犯させた罪によって，イスラエルの神，主の怒りを招いたためである．

ナダブの他の事績，彼の行ったすべての事については，『イスラエルの王の歷代誌』に記されている．

アサとイスラエルの王バシャの間には，その生涯を通じて戰いが絶えなかった．

ユダの王アサの治世第三年に，アヒヤの子バシャがティルツァですべてのイスラエルの王となり，その治世は二十四年に及んだ．

and because of the sins of Jeroboam which he sinned, and which he made Israel sin, because of his provocation with which he provoked the LORD God of Israel to anger.

Now the rest of the acts of Nadab and all that he did, are they not written in the Book of the Chronicles of the Kings of Israel?

There was war between Asa and Baasha king of Israel all their days.

In the third year of Asa king of Judah, Baasha the son of Ahijah became king over all Israel at Tirzah, and reigned twenty-four years.

He did evil in the sight of the LORD, and walked in the way of Jeroboam and in his sin which he made Israel sin.
