사도행전 22:22-23:11

 바울의 변론을 듣고 더욱 완악해진 유대인들은 그를 죽이려 했지만, 위기에 처한 바울은 자신의 로마 시민권을 이용해 위기에서 모면하였다. 또한 공회로 넘겨진 바울은 산헤드린 공회 앞에서 변론한 후 투옥되었다.
  
  로마 시민권 주장(22:22-22:30)    
 
  1. パウロ の 話をここまで 聞いた 人¿は， 聲を 張り 上げて 言った． 「こんな 男は， 地上から 除いてしまえ． 生かしてはおけない． 」
  2. 彼らがわめき 立てて 上着を 投げつけ， 砂埃を 空中にまき 散らすほどだったので，
  3. 千人隊長は パウロ を 兵營に 入れるように 命じ， 人¿がどうしてこれほど パウロ に 對してわめき 立てるのかを 知るため， 鞭で 打ちたたいて 調べるようにと 言った．
  4. パウロ を 鞭で 打つため， その 兩手を 廣げて 縛ると， パウロ はそばに 立っていた 百人隊長に 言った． 「ロ ― マ 帝國の 市民權を 持つ 者を， 裁判にかけずに 鞭で 打ってもよいのですか． 」
  5. これを 聞いた 百人隊長は， 千人隊長のところへ 行って 報告した． 「どうなさいますか． あの 男は ロ ― マ 帝國の 市民です． 」
  1. They listened to him up to this statement, and then they raised their voices and said, "Away with such a fellow from the earth, for he should not be allowed to live!"
  2. And as they were crying out and throwing off their cloaks and tossing dust into the air,
  3. the commander ordered him to be brought into the barracks, stating that he should be examined by scourging so that he might find out the reason why they were shouting against him that way.
  4. But when they stretched him out with thongs, Paul said to the centurion who was standing by, "Is it lawful for you to scourge a man who is a Roman and uncondemned?"
  5. When the centurion heard this, he went to the commander and told him, saying, "What are you about to do? For this man is a Roman."
  1. 千人隊長は パウロ のところへ 來て 言った． 「あなたは ロ ― マ 帝國の 市民なのか． わたしに 言いなさい． 」 パウロ は， 「そうです 」と 言った．
  2. 千人隊長が， 「わたしは， 多額の 金を 出してこの 市民權を 得たのだ 」と 言うと， パウロ は， 「わたしは 生まれながら ロ ― マ 帝國の 市民です 」と 言った．
  3. そこで， パウロ を 取り 調べようとしていた 者たちは， 直ちに 手を 引き， 千人隊長も パウロ が ロ ― マ 帝國の 市民であること， そして， 彼を 縛ってしまったことを 知って 恐ろしくなった．
  4. 翌日， 千人隊長は， なぜ パウロ が ユダヤ 人から 訴えられているのか， 確かなことを 知りたいと 思い， 彼の 鎖を 外した． そして， 祭司長たちと 最高法院全體の 召集を 命じ， パウロ を 連れ 出して 彼らの 前に 立たせた．
  1. The commander came and said to him, "Tell me, are you a Roman?" And he said, "Yes."
  2. The commander answered, "I acquired this citizenship with a large sum of money." And Paul said, "But I was actually born a citizen."
  3. Therefore those who were about to examine him immediately let go of him; and the commander also was afraid when he found out that he was a Roman, and because he had put him in chains.
  4. But on the next day, wishing to know for certain why he had been accused by the Jews, he released him and ordered the chief priests and all the Council to assemble, and brought Paul down and set him before them.
 
  공회에서의 변론(23:1-23:11)    
 
  1. そこで， パウロ は 最高法院の 議員たちを 見つめて 言った． 「兄弟たち， わたしは 今日に 至るまで， あくまでも 良心に 從って 神の 前で 生きてきました． 」
  2. すると， 大祭司 アナニア は， パウロ の 近くに 立っていた 者たちに， 彼の 口を 打つように 命じた．
  3. パウロ は 大祭司に 向かって 言った． 「白く 塗った 壁よ， 神があなたをお 打ちになる． あなたは， 律法に 從ってわたしを 裁くためにそこに 座っていながら， 律法に 背いて， わたしを 打て， と 命令するのですか． 」
  4. 近くに 立っていた 者たちが， 「神の 大祭司をののしる 氣か 」と 言った．
  5. パウロ は 言った． 「兄弟たち， その 人が 大祭司だとは 知りませんでした． 確かに『あなたの 民の 指導者を 惡く 言うな 』と 書かれています． 」
  1. Paul, looking intently at the Council, said, "Brethren, I have lived my life with a perfectly good conscience before God up to this day."
  2. The high priest Ananias commanded those standing beside him to strike him on the mouth.
  3. Then Paul said to him, "God is going to strike you, you whitewashed wall! Do you sit to try me according to the Law, and in violation of the Law order me to be struck?"
  4. But the bystanders said, "Do you revile God's high priest?"
  5. And Paul said, "I was not aware, brethren, that he was high priest; for it is written, 'YOU SHALL NOT SPEAK EVIL OF A RULER OF YOUR PEOPLE.'"
  1. パウロ は， 議員の 一部が サドカイ 派， 一部が ファリサイ 派であることを 知って， 議場で 聲を 高めて 言った． 「兄弟たち， わたしは 生まれながらの ファリサイ 派です． 死者が 復活するという 望みを 抱いていることで， わたしは 裁判にかけられているのです． 」
  2. パウロ がこう 言ったので， ファリサイ 派と サドカイ 派との 間に 論爭が 生じ， 最高法院は 分裂した．
  3. サドカイ 派は 復活も 天使も 靈もないと 言い， ファリサイ 派はこのいずれをも 認めているからである．
  4. そこで， ¿ぎは 大きくなった． ファリサイ 派の 數人の 律法學者が 立ち 上がって 激しく 論じ， 「この 人には 何の 惡い 点も 見いだせない． 靈か 天使かが 彼に 話しかけたのだろうか 」と 言った．
  5. こうして， 論爭が 激しくなったので， 千人隊長は， パウロ が 彼らに 引き 裂かれてしまうのではないかと 心配し， 兵士たちに， 下りていって 人¿の 中から パウロ を 力ずくで 助け 出し， 兵營に 連れて 行くように 命じた．
  1. But perceiving that one group were Sadducees and the other Pharisees, Paul began crying out in the Council, "Brethren, I am a Pharisee, a son of Pharisees; I am on trial for the hope and resurrection of the dead!"
  2. As he said this, there occurred a dissension between the Pharisees and Sadducees, and the assembly was divided.
  3. For the Sadducees say that there is no resurrection, nor an angel, nor a spirit, but the Pharisees acknowledge them all.
  4. And there occurred a great uproar; and some of the scribes of the Pharisaic party stood up and began to argue heatedly, saying, "We find nothing wrong with this man; suppose a spirit or an angel has spoken to him?"
  5. And as a great dissension was developing, the commander was afraid Paul would be torn to pieces by them and ordered the troops to go down and take him away from them by force, and bring him into the barracks.
  1. その 夜， 主は パウロ のそばに 立って 言われた． 「勇氣を 出せ． エルサレム でわたしのことを 力强く 證ししたように， ロ ― マ でも 證しをしなければならない． 」
  1. But on the night immediately following, the Lord stood at his side and said, "Take courage; for as you have solemnly witnessed to My cause at Jerusalem, so you must witness at Rome also."
 
  사두개인( 23:6)  영적 존재에 대한 믿음과 부활, 그리고 예정론에 대한 교리를 부인하면서 오직 기록된 말씀만을 인정하는 유대교의 한 분파
