	역대하 13:1-15:19 르호보암에 이어 왕위에 오른 유다 왕 아비야는 북이스라엘 여로보암과의 전투에서 전력상 열세에도 불구하고 대승을 거두었다. 유다의 3대 왕 아사는 우상을 파하고 성읍을 건축하는 등의 선정을 베풀므로써, 세라의 침입시 하나님의 도우심을 받아 승리할 수 있었다. 아사는 아사랴의 예언을 듣고 종교 개혁을 시행했으며, 이에 하나님께서는 왕국의 평안을 허락하셨다.

	아비야의 유다 통치(13:1-13:22)

ヤロブアム王の治世第十八年に，アビヤがユダの王となり，

エルサレムで三年間王位にあった．母は名をミカヤといい，ギブア出身のウリエルの娘であった．アビヤとヤロブアムの間にも戰いは續いた．

アビヤは四十万のえり拔きの戰士から成る軍隊をもって戰いに臨み，ヤロブアムも八十万のえり拔きの戰士をもって戰いに備えた．

アビヤは，エフライム山地のツェマライム山の上に立って言った．「ヤロブアムとイスラエルのすべての人¿よ，わたしに耳を傾けよ．

イスラエルの神，主が，鹽の契約をもって，イスラエルを治める王權をとこしえにダビデとその子孫に授けられたことを，あなたたちが知らないはずはない．

In the eighteenth year of King Jeroboam, Abijah became king over Judah.

He reigned three years in Jerusalem; and his mother's name was Micaiah the daughter of Uriel of Gibeah. Now there was war between Abijah and Jeroboam.

Abijah began the battle with an army of valiant warriors, 400,000 chosen men, while Jeroboam drew up in battle formation against him with 800,000 chosen men who were valiant warriors.

Then Abijah stood on Mount Zemaraim, which is in the hill country of Ephraim, and said, "Listen to me, Jeroboam and all Israel:

"Do you not know that the LORD God of Israel gave the rule over Israel forever to David and his sons by a covenant of salt?

ダビデの子ソロモンに仕えていたネバトの子ヤロブアムは立ち上がって自分の主君に反逆し，

また命知らずのならず者が彼のもとに集まって，ソロモンの子レハブアムを壓迫した．レハブアムはというと，若すぎて氣も弱く，彼らに立ち向かうことができなかった．

そして今あなたたちは，おびただしい軍勢と，ヤロブアムがあなたたちのために造って神とした金の子牛を賴みとして，ダビデの子孫の手にある主の王國に立ち向かおうとしている．

しかし，我¿にとっては，主が我¿の神であり，我¿は，その主を捨てはしない．主に仕える祭司はアロンの子孫とレビ人で，その使命を果たしている．

"Yet Jeroboam the son of Nebat, the servant of Solomon the son of David, rose up and rebelled against his master,

and worthless men gathered about him, scoundrels, who proved too strong for Rehoboam, the son of Solomon, when he was young and timid and could not hold his own against them.

"So now you intend to resist the kingdom of the LORD through the sons of David, being a great multitude and having with you the golden calves which Jeroboam made for gods for you.

"Have you not driven out the priests of the LORD, the sons of Aaron and the Levites, and made for yourselves priests like the peoples of other lands? Whoever comes to consecrate himself with a young bull and seven rams, even he may become a priest of what are no gods.

"But as for us, the LORD is our God, and we have not forsaken Him; and the sons of Aaron are ministering to the LORD as priests, and the Levites attend to their work.

彼らは朝ごと夕ごとに主に燒き盡くす獻げ物を燃やして煙にし，香草の香をたき，純金の聖卓にパンを供え，夕ごとに金の燭台とそのともし火皿に火をともす．我¿は我¿の神，主に對する務めを守っているが，あなたたちはそれを捨てた．

見よ，神が頭として我¿と共におられ，その祭司たちは，あなたたちに對する進軍のラッパを吹き鳴らそうとしている．イスラエルの人¿よ，勝ち目はないのだから，あなたたちの先祖の神，主と戰ってはならない．」

"Every morning and evening they burn to the LORD burnt offerings and fragrant incense, and the showbread is set on the clean table, and the golden lampstand with its lamps is ready to light every evening; for we keep the charge of the LORD our God, but you have forsaken Him.

"Now behold, God is with us at our head and His priests with the signal trumpets to sound the alarm against you. O sons of Israel, do not fight against the LORD God of your fathers, for you will not succeed."

But Jeroboam had set an ambush to come from the rear, so that Israel was in front of Judah and the ambush was behind them.

When Judah turned around, behold, they were attacked both front and rear; so they cried to the LORD, and the priests blew the trumpets.

Then the men of Judah raised a war cry, and when the men of Judah raised the war cry, then it was that God routed Jeroboam and all Israel before Abijah and Judah.

イスラエルの人¿はユダの人¿の前から逃げ去り，神は彼らをユダの人¿の手に渡された．

アビヤとその軍隊は彼らを擊ち，大打擊を與えた．イスラエルのえり拔きの兵士五十万が劍で倒された．

このとき，イスラエルの人¿は屈し，ユダの人¿は勝ち誇った．先祖の神，主を賴みとしたからである．

When the sons of Israel fled before Judah, God gave them into their hand.

Abijah and his people defeated them with a great slaughter, so that 500,000 chosen men of Israel fell slain.

Thus the sons of Israel were subdued at that time, and the sons of Judah conquered because they trusted in the LORD, the God of their fathers.

Abijah pursued Jeroboam and captured from him several cities, Bethel with its villages, Jeshanah with its villages and Ephron with its villages.

Jeroboam did not again recover strength in the days of Abijah; and the LORD struck him and he died.

しかしアビヤは勢力を增し，十四人の妻を迎え，二十二人の息子と十六人の娘をもうけた．

アビヤの他の事績，その言動は，『預言者イドの解說』に記されている．

But Abijah became powerful; and took fourteen wives to himself, and became the father of twenty-two sons and sixteen daughters.

Now the rest of the acts of Abijah, and his ways and his words are written in the treatise of the prophet Iddo.

	아사의 유다 통치(14:1-14:15)

アサは，その神，主の目にかなう正しく善いことを行った．

彼は異國の祭壇と聖なる高台を取り除き，石柱を壞し，アシェラ像を ¿き，

ユダの人¿に先祖の神，主を求め，律法と戒めを實行するように命じた．

アサはまたユダのすべての町から聖なる高台と香爐台を取り除いた．こうして彼の統治の下で國は平穩であった．

主が安らぎを與えられたので，その時代この地は平穩で戰爭がなかった．そこで彼は，ユダに砦の町を次¿と築いた．

So Abijah slept with his fathers, and they buried him in the city of David, and his son Asa became king in his place. The land was undisturbed for ten years during his days.

Asa did good and right in the sight of the LORD his God,

for he removed the foreign altars and high places, tore down the sacred pillars, cut down the Asherim,

and commanded Judah to seek the LORD God of their fathers and to observe the law and the commandment.

He also removed the high places and the incense altars from all the cities of Judah. And the kingdom was undisturbed under him.

彼はユダの人¿に言った．「我¿はこれらの町を築き，城壁を巡らし，塔を建て，城門を造り，かんぬきを付けよう．我¿は，我¿の神，主を求めたので，この地を保有することができる．主を求めたからこそ，主は周圍の者たちから我¿を守って，安らぎを與えてくださったのだ．」そこで彼らは建設を始め，完成した．

アサには盾と槍を携えるユダの兵三十万，小盾を携え，弓を引くベニヤミンの兵二十八万がいた．これらの者は皆，勇士であった．

クシュ人ゼラが百万の軍隊と戰車三百兩を率いてマレシャまで出て來たとき，

アサはそれを迎えて出陣し，兩軍はマレシャ近くのツェファタの谷で戰いの準備をした．

アサは彼の神，主を呼び求めて言った．「主よ，あなたは力のある者にも無力な者にも分け隔てなく助けを與えてくださいます．わたしたちの神，主よ，わたしたちを助けてください．わたしたちはあなたを賴みとし，あなたの御名によってこの大軍に向かってやって來ました．あなたはわたしたちの神，主であって，いかなる人間もあなたに對抗することができません．」

He built fortified cities in Judah, since the land was undisturbed, and there was no one at war with him during those years, because the LORD had given him rest.

For he said to Judah, "Let us build these cities and surround them with walls and towers, gates and bars. The land is still ours because we have sought the LORD our God; we have sought Him, and He has given us rest on every side." So they built and prospered.

Now Asa had an army of 300,000 from Judah, bearing large shields and spears, and 280,000 from Benjamin, bearing shields and wielding bows; all of them were valiant warriors.

Now Zerah the Ethiopian came out against them with an army of a million men and 300 chariots, and he came to Mareshah.

So Asa went out to meet him, and they drew up in battle formation in the valley of Zephathah at Mareshah.

主はアサとユダの目の前でクシュ人を擊たれ，クシュ人は逃げた．

アサとその軍隊はゲラルまで追擊した．クシュ人は敗北を喫し，主とその陣營の前で打ち ¿かれて倒れ，生き殘った者は一人もなかった．持ち歸った戰利品は極めて多かった．

Then Asa called to the LORD his God and said, "LORD, there is no one besides You to help in the battle between the powerful and those who have no strength; so help us, O LORD our God, for we trust in You, and in Your name have come against this multitude. O LORD, You are our God; let not man prevail against You."

So the LORD routed the Ethiopians before Asa and before Judah, and the Ethiopians fled.

Asa and the people who were with him pursued them as far as Gerar; and so many Ethiopians fell that they could not recover, for they were shattered before the LORD and before His army. And they carried away very much plunder.

They destroyed all the cities around Gerar, for the dread of the LORD had fallen on them; and they despoiled all the cities, for there was much plunder in them.

They also struck down those who owned livestock, and they carried away large numbers of sheep and camels. Then they returned to Jerusalem.

	아사랴의 훈계와 아사의 개혁(15:1-15:19)

オデドの子アザルヤに神の靈が臨んだ．

彼はアサの前に進み出て言った．「アサよ，すべてのユダとベニヤミンの人¿よ，わたしに耳を傾けなさい．あなたたちが主と共にいるなら，主もあなたたちと共にいてくださる．もしあなたたちが主を求めるなら，主はあなたたちに御自分を示してくださる．しかし，もし主を捨てるなら，主もあなたたちを捨て去られる．

長い間，イスラエルにはまことの神もなく，敎える祭司もなく，律法もなかった．

しかし彼らは，苦惱の中でイスラエルの神，主に立ち歸り，主を求めたので，主は彼らに御自分を示してくださった．

そのころこの地のすべての住民は甚だしい ¿亂に卷き ¿まれ，安心して行き來することができなかった．

Now the Spirit of God came on Azariah the son of Oded,

and he went out to meet Asa and said to him, "Listen to me, Asa, and all Judah and Benjamin: the LORD is with you when you are with Him And if you seek Him, He will let you find Him; but if you forsake Him, He will forsake you.

"For many days Israel was without the true God and without a teaching priest and without law.

"But in their distress they turned to the LORD God of Israel, and they sought Him, and He let them find Him.

"In those times there was no peace to him who went out or to him who came in, for many disturbances afflicted all the inhabitants of the lands.

神があらゆる苦惱をもって混亂させられたので，國と國，町と町が互いに破壞し合ったのだ．

しかし，あなたたちは勇氣を出しなさい．落膽してはならない．あなたたちの行いには，必ず報いがある．」

アサはこの言葉と預言者オデドの預言を聞いて，勇氣を得，ユダとベニヤミンの全土から，またエフライムの山地で攻め取った町¿から，忌むべき偶像を除き去り，主の前廊の前にある主の祭壇を新しくした．

こうして彼はユダとベニヤミンのすべての者およびエフライム，マナセ，シメオンから彼らのもとに身を寄せている寄留者たちを集めた．彼の神，主が彼と共におられるのを見て，イスラエルから多くの者が彼のもとに投降した．

"Nation was crushed by nation, and city by city, for God troubled them with every kind of distress.

"But you, be strong and do not lose courage, for there is reward for your work."

Now when Asa heard these words and the prophecy which Azariah the son of Oded the prophet spoke, he took courage and removed the abominable idols from all the land of Judah and Benjamin and from the cities which he had captured in the hill country of Ephraim He then restored the altar of the LORD which was in front of the porch of the LORD.

He gathered all Judah and Benjamin and those from Ephraim, Manasseh and Simeon who resided with them, for many defected to him from Israel when they saw that the LORD his God was with him.

So they assembled at Jerusalem in the third month of the fifteenth year of Asa's reign.

その日彼らは，分捕って引いて來た雄牛七百頭，羊七千匹を屠って主にささげた．

そして彼らは，心を盡くし，魂を盡くして先祖の神，主を求め，

子供も大人も，男も女も，イスラエルの神，主を求めない者はだれでも死刑に處せられるという契約を結んだ．

彼らは大聲で叫び，ラッパと角笛を吹いて主に誓った．

ユダの皆がこの誓いを喜び祝った．皆が心の底から誓い，喜んで主を求めたからである．主は彼らに御自分をお示しになり，主は，周圍の者たちから彼らを守って，安らぎを與えられた．

They sacrificed to the LORD that day 700 oxen and 7,000 sheep from the spoil they had brought.

They entered into the covenant to seek the LORD God of their fathers with all their heart and soul;

and whoever would not seek the LORD God of Israel should be put to death, whether small or great, man or woman.

Moreover, they made an oath to the LORD with a loud voice, with shouting, with trumpets and with horns.

All Judah rejoiced concerning the oath, for they had sworn with their whole heart and had sought Him earnestly, and He let them find Him. So the LORD gave them rest on every side.

更にアサ王は母マアカがアシェラの憎むべき像を造ったので，彼女を太后の位から退けた．アサはその憎むべき像を切り倒して ¿き，キドロンの谷で燒き捨てた．

聖なる高台はイスラエルから取り除かれなかったが，アサの心はその生涯を通じて主と一つであった．

彼は父の聖別した物と自分の聖別した物，銀，金，祭具類を神殿に納めた．

アサの治世第三十五年まで戰爭はなかった．

He also removed Maacah, the mother of King Asa, from the position of queen mother, because she had made a horrid image as an Asherah, and Asa cut down her horrid image, crushed it and burned it at the brook Kidron.

But the high places were not removed from Israel; nevertheless Asa's heart was blameless all his days.

He brought into the house of God the dedicated things of his father and his own dedicated things: silver and gold and utensils.

And there was no more war until the thirty-fifth year of Asa's reign.
