- あなたがたは 神に 愛されている 子供ですから， 神に 倣う 者となりなさい．
- キリスト がわたしたちを 愛して， 御自分を 香りのよい 供え 物， つまり， いけにえとしてわたしたちのために 神に 獻げてくださったように， あなたがたも 愛によって 步みなさい．
- あなたがたの 間では， 聖なる 者にふさわしく， みだらなことやいろいろの 汚れたこと， あるいは ·欲なことを 口にしてはなりません．
- 卑わいな 言葉や 愚かな 話， 下品な 冗談もふさわしいものではありません． それよりも， 感謝を 表しなさい．
- すべてみだらな 者， 汚れた 者， また ·欲な 者， つまり， 偶像禮拜者は， キリスト と 神との 國を 受け 繼ぐことはできません． このことをよくわきまえなさい．

- Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved children;
- and walk in love, just as Christ also loved you and gave Himself up for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God as a fragrant aroma.
- But immorality or any impurity or greed must not even be named among you, as is proper among saints;
- and there must be no filthiness and silly talk, or coarse jesting, which are not fitting, but rather giving of thanks.
- For this you know with certainty, that no immoral or impure person or covetous man, who is an idolater, has an inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and God.

- むなしい 言葉に 惑わされてはなりません． これらの 行いのゆえに， 神の 怒りは 不從順な 者たちに 下るのです．
- だから， 彼らの 仲間に 引き 入れられないようにしなさい．
- あなたがたは， 以前には 暗闇でしたが， 今は 主に 結ばれて， 光となっています． 光の 子として 步みなさい．
- ――光から， あらゆる 善意と 正義と 眞實とが 生じるのです． ――
- 何が 主に 喜ばれるかを 吟味しなさい．

- Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of these things the wrath of God comes upon the sons of disobedience.
- Therefore do not be partakers with them;
- for you were formerly darkness, but now you are Light in the Lord; walk as children of Light
- (for the fruit of the Light consists in all goodness and righteousness and truth),
- trying to learn what is pleasing to the Lord.

- 實を 結ばない 暗闇の 業に 加わらないで， むしろ， それを 明るみに 出しなさい．
- 彼らがひそかに 行っているのは， 口にするのも 恥ずかしいことなのです．
- しかし， すべてのものは 光にさらされて， 明らかにされます．
- 明らかにされるものはみな， 光となるのです． それで， こう 言われています． 「眠りについている 者， 起きよ． 死者の 中から 立ち 上がれ． そうすれば， キリスト はあなたを 照らされる． 」
- 愚かな 者としてではなく， 賢い 者として， 細かく 氣を 配って 步みなさい．

- Do not participate in the unfruitful deeds of darkness, but instead even expose them;
- for it is disgraceful even to speak of the things which are done by them in secret.
- But all things become visible when they are exposed by the light, for everything that becomes visible is light.
- For this reason it says, "Awake, sleeper, And arise from the dead, And Christ will shine on you."
- Therefore be careful how you walk, not as unwise men but as wise,

- 時をよく 用いなさい． 今は 惡い 時代なのです．
- だから， 無分別な 者とならず， 主の 御心が 何であるかを 悟りなさい．
- 酒に 醉いしれてはなりません． それは 身を 持ち 崩すもとです． むしろ， 靈に 滿たされ，
- 詩編と 贊歌と 靈的な 歌によって 語り 合い， 主に 向かって 心からほめ 歌いなさい．
- そして， いつも， あらゆることについて， わたしたちの 主 イエス · キリスト の 名により， 父である 神に 感謝しなさい．

- making the most of your time, because the days are evil.
- So then do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is.
- And do not get drunk with wine, for that is dissipation, but be filled with the Spirit,
- speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody with your heart to the Lord;
- always giving thanks for all things in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ to God, even the Father;

- キリスト に 對する 畏れをもって， 互いに 仕え 合いなさい．
- 妻たちよ， 主に 仕えるように， 自分の 夫に 仕えなさい．
- キリスト が 敎會の 頭であり， 自らその 體の 救い 主であるように， 夫は 妻の 頭だからです．
- また， 敎會が キリスト に 仕えるように， 妻もすべての 面で 夫に 仕えるべきです．
- 夫たちよ， キリスト が 敎會を 愛し， 敎會のために 御自分をお 與えになったように， 妻を 愛しなさい．

- and be subject to one another in the fear of Christ.
- Wives, be subject to your own husbands, as to the Lord.
- For the husband is the head of the wife, as Christ also is the head of the church, He Himself being the Savior of the body.
- But as the church is subject to Christ, so also the wives ought to be to their husbands in everything.
- Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself up for her,

- キリスト がそうなさったのは， 言葉を 伴う 水の 洗いによって， 敎會を 淸めて 聖なるものとし，
- しみやしわやそのたぐいのものは 何一つない， 聖なる， 汚れのない， 榮光に 輝く 敎會を 御自分の 前に 立たせるためでした．
- そのように 夫も， 自分の 體のように 妻を 愛さなくてはなりません． 妻を 愛する 人は， 自分自身を 愛しているのです．
- わが 身を 憎んだ 者は 一人もおらず， かえって， キリスト が 敎會になさったように， わが 身を 養い， いたわるものです．
- わたしたちは， キリスト の 體の 一部なのです．

- so that He might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the word,
- that He might present to Himself the church in all her glory, having no spot or wrinkle or any such thing; but that she would be holy and blameless.
- So husbands ought also to love their own wives as their own bodies. He who loves his own wife loves himself;
- for no one ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, just as Christ also does the church,
- because we are members of His body.

- 「それゆえ， 人は 父と 母を 離れてその 妻と 結ばれ， 二人は 一體となる． 」
- この 神秘は 偉大です． わたしは， キリスト と 敎會について 述べているのです．
- いずれにせよ， あなたがたも， それぞれ， 妻を 自分のように 愛しなさい． 妻は 夫を 敬いなさい．

- FOR THIS REASON A MAN SHALL LEAVE HIS FATHER AND MOTHER AND SHALL BE JOINED TO HIS WIFE, AND THE TWO SHALL BECOME ONE FLESH.
- This mystery is great; but I am speaking with reference to Christ and the church.
- Nevertheless, each individual among you also is to love his own wife even as himself, and the wife must see to it that she respects her husband.
