예레미야 13:1-14:22

 하나님께서는 썩은 베띠와 포도주 병의 상징적 비유를 통하여 하나님을 떠나 죄로 가득 찬 유다에 심판이 임할 것을 경고하시며 백성들의 회개를 촉구하셨다. 그러나 백성들은 회개하지 않았고, 그로 인해 큰 가뭄이 들었으나 거짓 선지자들의 말에 미혹되어 회개하기를 거부했다. 이처럼 회개할 줄 모르는 유다를 위해 예레미야는 탄식하며 중보 기도하였다.
  
  두 가지 비유(13:1-13:27)    
 
  1. 主はわたしにこう 言われる． 「麻の 帶を 買い， それを 腰に 締めよ． 水で 洗ってはならない． 」
  2. わたしは 主の 言葉に 從って， 帶を 買い， 腰に 締めた．
  3. 主の 言葉が 再びわたしに 臨んだ．
  4. 「あなたが 買って 腰に 締めたあの 帶をはずし， 立って ユ ― フラテス に 行き， そこで 帶を 岩の 裂け 目に 隱しなさい． 」
  5. そこで， わたしは 主が 命じられたように， ユ ― フラテス に 行き， 帶を 隱した．
  1. Thus the LORD said to me, "Go and buy yourself a linen waistband and put it around your waist, but do not put it in water."
  2. So I bought the waistband in accordance with the word of the LORD and put it around my waist.
  3. Then the word of the LORD came to me a second time, saying,
  4. "Take the waistband that you have bought, which is around your waist, and arise, go to the Euphrates and hide it there in a crevice of the rock."
  5. So I went and hid it by the Euphrates, as the LORD had commanded me.
  1. 多くの 月日がたった 後， 主はわたしに 言われた． 「立って， ユ ― フラテス に 行き， かつて 隱しておくように 命じたあの 帶を 取り 出しなさい． 」
  2. わたしは ユ ― フラテス に 行き， 隱しておいた 帶を 探し 出した． 見よ， 帶は 腐り， 全く 役に 立たなくなっていた．
  3. 主の 言葉がわたしに 臨んだ．
  4. 主はこう 言われる． 「このように， わたしは ユダ の 傲慢と エルサレム の 甚だしい 傲慢を ¿く．
  5. この 惡い 民はわたしの 言葉に 聞き 從うことを 拒み， かたくなな 心のままにふるまっている． また， 彼らは 他の 神¿に 從って 步み， それに 仕え， それにひれ 伏している． 彼らは 全く 役に 立たないこの 帶のようになった．
  1. After many days the LORD said to me, "Arise, go to the Euphrates and take from there the waistband which I commanded you to hide there."
  2. Then I went to the Euphrates and dug, and I took the waistband from the place where I had hidden it; and lo, the waistband was ruined, it was totally worthless.
  3. Then the word of the LORD came to me, saying,
  4. "Thus says the LORD, 'Just so will I destroy the pride of Judah and the great pride of Jerusalem.
  5. 'This wicked people, who refuse to listen to My words, who walk in the stubbornness of their hearts and have gone after other gods to serve them and to bow down to them, let them be just like this waistband which is totally worthless.
  1. 人が 帶を 腰にしっかり 着けるように， わたしは イスラエル のすべての 家と ユダ のすべての 家をわたしの 身にしっかりと 着け， わたしの 民とし， 名聲， 榮譽， 威光を 示すものにしよう， と 思った． しかし， 彼らは 聞き 從わなかった 」と 主は 言われる．
  2. あなたは 彼らにこの 言葉を 語りなさい． 「イスラエル の 神， 主はこう 言われる． かめにぶどう 酒を 滿たすべきだ 」と． すると， 彼らはあなたに 言うだろう． 「かめにぶどう 酒を 滿たすべきだということを 我¿が 知らないとでも 言うのか 」と．

  4. わたしは， 人をその 兄弟に， 父と 子を 互いに， 打ちつけて ¿く． わたしは 惜しまず， ためらわず， 憐れまず， 彼らを 全く 滅ぼす 」と 主は 言われる．
  5. 聞け， 耳を 傾けよ， 高ぶってはならない． 主が 語られる．
  1. 'For as the waistband clings to the waist of a man, so I made the whole household of Israel and the whole household of Judah cling to Me,' declares the LORD, 'that they might be for Me a people, for renown, for praise and for glory; but they did not listen.'
  2. "Therefore you are to speak this word to them, 'Thus says the LORD, the God of Israel, "Every jug is to be filled with wine."' And when they say to you, 'Do we not very well know that every jug is to be filled with wine?'
  3. then say to them, 'Thus says the LORD, "Behold I am about to fill all the inhabitants of this land--the kings that sit for David on his throne, the priests, the prophets and all the inhabitants of Jerusalem--with drunkenness!
  4. "I will dash them against each other, both the fathers and the sons together," declares the LORD "I will not show pity nor be sorry nor have compassion so as not to destroy them."'"
  5. Listen and give heed, do not be haughty, For the LORD has spoken.
  1. あなたたちの 神， 主に 榮光を 歸せよ ／闇が 襲わぬうちに ／足が 夕闇の 山でつまずかぬうちに． 光を 望んでも， 主はそれを 死の 陰とし ／暗黑に 變えられる．
  2. あなたたちが 聞かなければ ／わたしの 魂は 隱れた 所でその 傲慢に 泣く． 淚が 溢れ， わたしの 目は 淚を 流す． 主の 群れが 捕らえられて 行くからだ．
  3. 王と 太后に 言え． 「身を 低くして 座れ． 輝かしい 冠は ／あなたたちの 頭から 落ちた． 」
  4. ネゲブ の 町¿は 閉じられて 開く 者はなく ／ ユダ はすべて 捕囚となり ／ことごとく 連れ 去られた．
  5. 目を 上げて， 北から 襲う 者を 見よ． あなたにゆだねられた 群れ ／輝かしい 羊の 群れはどこにいるのか．
  1. Give glory to the LORD your God, Before He brings darkness And before your feet stumble On the dusky mountains, And while you are hoping for light He makes it into deep darkness, And turns it into gloom.
  2. But if you will not listen to it, My soul will sob in secret for such pride; And my eyes will bitterly weep And flow down with tears, Because the flock of the LORD has been taken captive.
  3. Say to the king and the queen mother, "Take a lowly seat, For your beautiful crown Has come down from your head."
  4. The cities of the Negev have been locked up, And there is no one to open them; All Judah has been carried into exile, Wholly carried into exile.
  5. "Lift up your eyes and see Those coming from the north Where is the flock that was given you, Your beautiful sheep?
  1. 指導者として 育てた 人¿が ／あなたから 失われるなら ／あなたは 何と 言うつもりか． 女が 子を 産むときのような 苦しみが ／必ずあなたをとらえるであろう．
  2. あなたは 心に 問うであろう． 「なぜ， このような 事がわたしに 起こるのか． 」あなたの 重い 罪のゆえに ／着物の ¿は 剝ぎ 取られ， 辱めを 受ける．
  3. クシュ 人は 皮膚を ／豹はまだらの 皮を 變ええようか． それなら， 惡に 馴らされたお 前たちも ／正しい 者となりえよう．
  4. わたしはお 前たちを 散らす ／荒れ 野の 風に 吹き 飛ばされるもみ 殼のように．
  5. これがお 前の 運命 ／わたしが 定めたお 前の 分である， と 主は 言われる． お 前がわたしを 忘れ ／むなしいものに 依り 賴んだからだ．
  1. "What will you say when He appoints over you-- And you yourself had taught them-- Former companions to be head over you? Will not pangs take hold of you Like a woman in childbirth?
  2. "If you say in your heart, 'Why have these things happened to me?' Because of the magnitude of your iniquity Your skirts have been removed And your heels have been exposed.
  3. "Can the Ethiopian change his skin Or the leopard his spots? Then you also can do good Who are accustomed to doing evil.
  4. "Therefore I will scatter them like drifting straw To the desert wind.
  5. "This is your lot, the portion measured to you From Me," declares the LORD, "Because you have forgotten Me And trusted in falsehood.
  1. わたし 自身がお 前の 着物の ¿を 顔まで 上げ ／お 前の 恥はあらわになった．
  2. お 前が 姦淫し， いななきの 聲をあげ ／淫行をたくらみ， 忌むべき 行いをするのを ／丘でも 野でもわたしは 見た． 災いだ， エルサレム よ． お 前は 淸いものとはされえない． いつまでそれが 續くのか．
  1. "So I Myself have also stripped your skirts off over your face, That your shame may be seen.
  2. "As for your adulteries and your lustful neighings, The lewdness of your prostitution On the hills in the field, I have seen your abominations Woe to you, O Jerusalem! How long will you remain unclean?"
 
  재앙과 중보 기도(14:1-14:22)    
 
  1. 干ばつに 見舞われたとき， 主の 言葉が エレミヤ に 臨んだ．
  2. ユダ は 渴き， 町¿の 城門は 衰える． 人¿は 地に 伏して 嘆き ／ エルサレム は 叫びをあげる．
  3. 貴族は 水を 求めて， 召し 使いを 送る． 彼らが 貯水池に 來ても， 水がないので ／空の 水がめを 持ち ／うろたえ， 失望し， 頭を 覆って 歸る．
  4. 地には 雨が 降らず ／大地はひび 割れる． 農夫はうろたえ， 頭を 覆う．
  5. 靑草がないので ／野の 雌鹿は 子を 産んでも 捨てる．
  1. That which came as the word of the LORD to Jeremiah in regard to the drought:
  2. "Judah mourns And her gates languish; They sit on the ground in mourning, And the cry of Jerusalem has ascended.
  3. "Their nobles have sent their servants for water; They have come to the cisterns and found no water They have returned with their vessels empty; They have been put to shame and humiliated, And they cover their heads.
  4. "Because the ground is cracked, For there has been no rain on the land; The farmers have been put to shame, They have covered their heads.
  5. "For even the doe in the field has given birth only to abandon her young, Because there is no grass.
  1. 草が 生えないので ／野ろばは 裸の 山の 上に 立ち ／山犬のようにあえぎ， 目はかすむ．
  2. 我¿の 罪が 我¿自身を 告發しています． 主よ， 御名にふさわしく 行ってください． 我¿の 背信は 大きく ／あなたに 對して 罪を 犯しました．
  3. イスラエル の 希望， 苦難のときの 救い 主よ． なぜあなたは， この 地に 身を 寄せている 人 ／宿を 求める 旅人のようになっておられるのか．
  4. なぜあなたは， とまどい ／人を 救いえない 勇士のようになっておられるのか． 主よ， あなたは 我¿の 中におられます． 我¿は 御名によって 呼ばれています． 我¿を 見捨てないでください．
  5. 主はこの 民についてこう 言われる． 「彼らはさまようことを 好み， 足を 愼もうとしない． 」主は 彼らを 喜ばれず， 今や， その 罪に 御心を 留め， 咎を 罰せられる．
  1. "The wild donkeys stand on the bare heights; They pant for air like jackals, Their eyes fail For there is no vegetation.
  2. "Although our iniquities testify against us, O LORD, act for Your name's sake! Truly our apostasies have been many, We have sinned against You.
  3. "O Hope of Israel, Its Savior in time of distress, Why are You like a stranger in the land Or like a traveler who has pitched his tent for the night?
  4. "Why are You like a man dismayed, Like a mighty man who cannot save? Yet You are in our midst, O LORD, And we are called by Your name; Do not forsake us!"
  5. Thus says the LORD to this people, "Even so they have loved to wander; they have not kept their feet in check Therefore the LORD does not accept them; now He will remember their iniquity and call their sins to account."
  1. 主はわたしに 言われた． 「この 民のために 祈り， 幸いを 求めてはならない．
  2. 彼らが 斷食しても， わたしは 彼らの 叫びを 聞かない． 彼らが 燒き 盡くす 獻げ 物や 穀物の 獻げ 物をささげても， わたしは 喜ばない． わたしは 劍と， 飢鴨と， 疫病によって， 彼らを 滅ぼし 盡くす． 」
  3. わたしは 言った． 「わが 主なる 神よ， 預言者たちは 彼らに 向かって 言っています． 『お 前たちは 劍を 見ることはなく， 飢鴨がお 前たちに 臨むこともない． わたしは 確かな 平和を， このところでお 前たちに 與える 』と． 」
  4. 主はわたしに 言われた． 「預言者たちは， わたしの 名において 僞りの 預言をしている． わたしは 彼らを 遣わしてはいない． 彼らを 任命したことも， 彼らに 言葉を 託したこともない． 彼らは 僞りの 幻， むなしい 呪術， 欺く 心によってお 前たちに 預言しているのだ． 」
  5. それゆえ， 主は 預言者についてこう 言われる． 「彼らはわたしの 名によって 預言しているが， わたしは 彼らを 遣わしてはいない． 彼らは 劍も 飢鴨もこの 國に 臨むことはないと 言っているが， これらの 預言者自身が 劍と 飢鴨によって 滅びる．
  1. So the LORD said to me, "Do not pray for the welfare of this people.
  2. "When they fast, I am not going to listen to their cry; and when they offer burnt offering and grain offering, I am not going to accept them Rather I am going to make an end of them by the sword, famine and pestilence."
  3. But, "Ah, Lord GOD!" I said, "Look, the prophets are telling them, 'You will not see the sword nor will you have famine, but I will give you lasting peace in this place.'"
  4. Then the LORD said to me, "The prophets are prophesying falsehood in My name I have neither sent them nor commanded them nor spoken to them; they are prophesying to you a false vision, divination, futility and the deception of their own minds.
  5. "Therefore thus says the LORD concerning the prophets who are prophesying in My name, although it was not I who sent them--yet they keep saying, 'There will be no sword or famine in this land'--by sword and famine those prophets shall meet their end!
  1. 彼らが 預言を 聞かせている 民は， 飢鴨と 劍に 遭い， 葬る 者もなく エルサレム の 巷に 投げ 捨てられる， 彼らも， その 妻， 息子， 娘もすべて． こうして， わたしは 彼らの 惡を， 彼ら 自身の 上に 注ぐ． 」

  4. あなたは ユダ を 退けられたのか． シオン をいとわれるのか． なぜ， 我¿を 打ち， いやしてはくださらないのか． 平和を 望んでも， 幸いはなく ／いやしのときを 望んでも， 見よ， 恐怖のみ．
  5. 主よ， 我¿は 自分たちの 背きと ／先祖の 罪を 知っています． あなたに 對して， 我¿は 過ちを 犯しました．
  1. "The people also to whom they are prophesying will be thrown out into the streets of Jerusalem because of the famine and the sword; and there will be no one to bury them--neither them, nor their wives, nor their sons, nor their daughters--for I will pour out their own wickedness on them.
  2. "You will say this word to them, 'Let my eyes flow down with tears night and day, And let them not cease; For the virgin daughter of my people has been crushed with a mighty blow, With a sorely infected wound.
  3. 'If I go out to the country, Behold, those slain with the sword! Or if I enter the city, Behold, diseases of famine! For both prophet and priest Have gone roving about in the land that they do not know.'"
  4. Have You completely rejected Judah? Or have You loathed Zion? Why have You stricken us so that we are beyond healing? We waited for peace, but nothing good came; And for a time of healing, but behold, terror!
  5. We know our wickedness, O LORD, The iniquity of our fathers, for we have sinned against You.
  1. 我¿を 見捨てないでください． あなたの 榮光の 座を 輕んじないでください． 御名にふさわしく， 我¿と 結んだ 契約を 心に 留め ／それを 破らないでください．
  2. 國¿の 空しい 神¿の 中に ／雨を 降らしうるものがあるでしょうか． 天が 雨を 與えるでしょうか． 我¿の 神， 主よ． それをなしうるのはあなただけではありませんか． 我¿はあなたを 待ち 望みます． あなたこそ， すべてを 成し 遂げる 方です．
  1. Do not despise us, for Your own name's sake; Do not disgrace the throne of Your glory; Remember and do not annul Your covenant with us.
  2. Are there any among the idols of the nations who give rain? Or can the heavens grant showers? Is it not You, O LORD our God? Therefore we hope in You, For You are the one who has done all these things.
