- だから， 神の 安息にあずかる 約束がまだ 續いているのに， 取り 殘されてしまったと 思われる 者があなたがたのうちから 出ないように， 氣をつけましょう．
- というのは， わたしたちにも 彼ら 同樣に 福音が 告げ 知らされているからです． けれども， 彼らには 聞いた 言葉は 役に 立ちませんでした． その 言葉が， それを 聞いた 人¿と， 信仰によって 結び 付かなかったためです．
- 信じたわたしたちは， この 安息にあずかることができるのです． 「わたしは 怒って 誓ったように， ／『彼らを 決してわたしの 安息に ／あずからせはしない 』」と 言われたとおりです． もっとも， 神の 業は 天地創造の 時以來， 旣に 出來上がっていたのです．
- なぜなら， ある 個所で 七日目のことについて， 「神は 七日目にすべての 業を 終えて 休まれた 」と 言われているからです．
- そして， この 個所でも 改めて， 「彼らを 決してわたしの 安息にあずからせはしない 」と 言われています．

- Therefore, let us fear if, while a promise remains of entering His rest, any one of you may seem to have come short of it.
- For indeed we have had good news preached to us, just as they also; but the word they heard did not profit them, because it was not united by faith in those who heard.
- For we who have believed enter that rest, just as He has said, "AS I SWORE IN MY WRATH, THEY SHALL NOT ENTER MY REST," although His works were finished from the foundation of the world.
- For He has said somewhere concerning the seventh day: "AND GOD RESTED ON THE SEVENTH DAY FROM ALL HIS WORKS";
- and again in this passage, "THEY SHALL NOT ENTER MY REST."

- そこで， この 安息にあずかるはずの 人¿がまだ 殘っていることになり， また， 先に 福音を 告げ 知らされた 人¿が， 不從順のためにあずからなかったのですから，
- 再び， 神はある 日を「今日 」と 決めて， かなりの 時がたった 後， 旣に 引用したとおり， ／「今日， あなたたちが 神の 聲を 聞くなら， ／心をかたくなにしてはならない 」と ダビデ を 通して 語られたのです．
- もし ヨシュア が 彼らに 安息を 與えたとするのなら， 神は 後になって 他の 日について 語られることはなかったでしょう．
- それで， 安息日の 休みが 神の 民に 殘されているのです．
- なぜなら， 神の 安息にあずかった 者は， 神が 御業を 終えて 休まれたように， 自分の 業を 終えて 休んだからです．

- Therefore, since it remains for some to enter it, and those who formerly had good news preached to them failed to enter because of disobedience,
- He again fixes a certain day, "Today," saying through David after so long a time just as has been said before, "TODAY IF YOU HEAR HIS VOICE, DO NOT HARDEN YOUR HEARTS."
- For if Joshua had given them rest, He would not have spoken of another day after that.
- So there remains a Sabbath rest for the people of God.
- For the one who has entered His rest has himself also rested from his works, as God did from His.

- だから， わたしたちはこの 安息にあずかるように 努力しようではありませんか． さもないと， 同じ 不從順の 例に 倣って 墮落する 者が 出るかもしれません．
- というのは， 神の 言葉は 生きており， 力を 發揮し， どんな 兩刃の 劍よりも 銳く， 精神と 靈， 關節と 骨¿とを 切り 離すほどに 刺し 通して， 心の 思いや 考えを 見分けることができるからです．
- 更に， 神の 御前では 隱れた 被造物は 一つもなく， すべてのものが 神の 目には 裸であり， さらけ 出されているのです． この 神に 對して， わたしたちは 自分のことを 申し 述べねばなりません．

- Therefore let us be diligent to enter that rest, so that no one will fall, through following the same example of disobedience.
- For the word of God is living and active and sharper than any two-edged sword, and piercing as far as the division of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart.
- And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are open and laid bare to the eyes of Him with whom we have to do.
