- 愚か 者の 前から 立ち 去るがよい． 彼に 知識ある 唇を 認めることはできない．
- 思慮深い 人は 自分の 知惠によって 道を 見分ける． 愚か 者の 無知は 欺く．
- 無知な 者は 不遜で 互いをなじる． 正しい 人は 互いに 受け 入れる．
- 魂の 苦しみを 知るのは 自分の 心． その 喜びにも 他人はあずからない．

- A scoffer seeks wisdom and finds none, But knowledge is easy to one who has understanding.
- Leave the presence of a fool, Or you will not discern words of knowledge.
- The wisdom of the sensible is to understand his way, But the foolishness of fools is deceit.
- Fools mock at sin, But among the upright there is good will.
- The heart knows its own bitterness, And a stranger does not share its joy.

- 神に 逆らう 者の 家は 斷絶する． 正しい 人の 天幕は 繁榮する．
- 人間の 前途がまっすぐなようでも ／果ては 死への 道となることがある．
- 笑っていても 心の 痛むことがあり ／喜びが 悲しみに 終ることもある．
- 二心ある 者は 自らの 道に ／善人は 自らの 業に 飽かされる．
- 未熟な 者は 何事も 信じこむ． 熟慮ある 人は 行く 道を 見分けようとする．

- The backslider in heart will have his fill of his own ways, But a good man will be satisfied with his.
