베드로전서 2:11-3:7

 베드로는 나그네와 행인 같은 성도들은 국가의 위정자와 주인에게 순종하여야 한다고 강조했으며, 아내는 남편에게 순복하고 남편은 아내를 귀히 여기도록 권면하였다.
  
  나그네의 삶(2:11-2:17)    
 
  1. 愛する 人たち， あなたがたに 勸めます． いわば 旅人であり， 假住まいの 身なのですから， 魂に 戰いを 挑む 肉の 欲を 避けなさい．
  2. また， 異敎徒の 間で 立派に 生活しなさい． そうすれば， 彼らはあなたがたを 惡人呼ばわりしてはいても， あなたがたの 立派な 行いをよく 見て， 訪れの 日に 神をあがめるようになります．
  3. 主のために， すべて 人間の 立てた 制度に 從いなさい． それが， 統治者としての 皇帝であろうと，
  4. あるいは， 惡を 行う 者を 處罰し， 善を 行う 者をほめるために， 皇帝が 派遣した 總督であろうと， 服從しなさい．
  5. 善を 行って， 愚かな 者たちの 無知な 發言を 封じることが， 神の 御心だからです．
  1. Beloved, I urge you as aliens and strangers to abstain from fleshly lusts which wage war against the soul.
  2. Keep your behavior excellent among the Gentiles, so that in the thing in which they slander you as evildoers, they may because of your good deeds, as they observe them, glorify God in the day of visitation.
  3. Submit yourselves for the Lord's sake to every human institution, whether to a king as the one in authority,
  4. or to governors as sent by him for the punishment of evildoers and the praise of those who do right.
  5. For such is the will of God that by doing right you may silence the ignorance of foolish men.
  1. 自由な 人として 生活しなさい． しかし， その 自由を， 惡事を 覆い 隱す 手だてとせず， 神の 僕として 行動しなさい．
  2. すべての 人を 敬い， 兄弟を 愛し， 神を 畏れ， 皇帝を 敬いなさい．
  1. Act as free men, and do not use your freedom as a covering for evil, but use it as bondslaves of God.
  2. Honor all people, love the brotherhood, fear God, honor the king.
 
  그리스도의 고난(2:18-2:25)    
 
  1. 召し 使いたち， 心からおそれ 敬って 主人に 從いなさい． 善良で 寬大な 主人にだけでなく， 無慈悲な 主人にもそうしなさい．
  2. 不當な 苦しみを 受けることになっても， 神がそうお 望みだとわきまえて 苦痛を 耐えるなら， それは 御心に 適うことなのです．
  3. 罪を 犯して 打ちたたかれ， それを 耐え 忍んでも， 何の 譽れになるでしょう． しかし， 善を 行って 苦しみを 受け， それを 耐え 忍ぶなら， これこそ 神の 御心に 適うことです．
  4. あなたがたが 召されたのはこのためです． というのは， キリスト もあなたがたのために 苦しみを 受け， その 足跡に 續くようにと， 模範を 殘されたからです．
  5. 「この 方は， 罪を 犯したことがなく， ／その 口には 僞りがなかった． 」
  1. Servants, be submissive to your masters with all respect, not only to those who are good and gentle, but also to those who are unreasonable.
  2. For this finds favor, if for the sake of conscience toward God a person bears up under sorrows when suffering unjustly.
  3. For what credit is there if, when you sin and are harshly treated, you endure it with patience? But if when you do what is right and suffer for it you patiently endure it, this finds favor with God.
  4. For you have been called for this purpose, since Christ also suffered for you, leaving you an example for you to follow in His steps,
  5. WHO COMMITTED NO SIN, NOR WAS ANY DECEIT FOUND IN HIS MOUTH;
  1. ののしられてもののしり 返さず， 苦しめられても 人を 脅さず， 正しくお 裁きになる 方にお 任せになりました．
  2. そして， 十字架にかかって， 自らその 身にわたしたちの 罪を 擔ってくださいました． わたしたちが， 罪に 對して 死んで， 義によって 生きるようになるためです． そのお 受けになった 傷によって， あなたがたはいやされました．
  3. あなたがたは 羊のようにさまよっていましたが， 今は， 魂の 牧者であり， 監督者である 方のところへ 戾って 來たのです．
  1. and while being reviled, He did not revile in return; while suffering, He uttered no threats, but kept entrusting Himself to Him who judges righteously;
  2. and He Himself bore our sins in His body on the cross, so that we might die to sin and live to righteousness; for by His wounds you were healed.
  3. For you were continually straying like sheep, but now you have returned to the Shepherd and Guardian of your souls.
 
  아내와 남편의 자세(3:1-3:7)    
 
  1. 同じように， 妻たちよ， 自分の 夫に 從いなさい． 夫が 御言葉を 信じない 人であっても， 妻の 無言の 行いによって 信仰に 導かれるようになるためです．
  2. 神を 畏れるあなたがたの 純眞な 生活を 見るからです．
  3. あなたがたの 裝いは， 編んだ 髮や 金の 飾り， あるいは 派手な 衣服といった 外面的なものであってはなりません．
  4. むしろそれは， 柔和でしとやかな 氣立てという 朽ちないもので 飾られた， 內面的な 人柄であるべきです． このような 裝いこそ， 神の 御前でまことに 價値があるのです．
  5. その 昔， 神に 望みを 託した 聖なる 婦人たちも， このように 裝って 自分の 夫に 從いました．
  1. In the same way, you wives, be submissive to your own husbands so that even if any of them are disobedient to the word, they may be won without a word by the behavior of their wives,
  2. as they observe your chaste and respectful behavior.
  3. Your adornment must not be merely external--braiding the hair, and wearing gold jewelry, or putting on dresses;
  4. but let it be the hidden person of the heart, with the imperishable quality of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is precious in the sight of God.
  5. For in this way in former times the holy women also, who hoped in God, used to adorn themselves, being submissive to their own husbands;
  1. たとえば サラ は， アブラハム を 主人と 呼んで， 彼に 服從しました． あなたがたも， 善を 行い， また 何事も 恐れないなら， サラ の 娘となるのです．
  2. 同じように， 夫たちよ， 妻を 自分よりも 弱いものだとわきまえて 生活を 共にし， 命の 惠みを 共に 受け 繼ぐ 者として 尊敬しなさい． そうすれば， あなたがたの 祈りが 妨げられることはありません．
  1. just as Sarah obeyed Abraham, calling him lord, and you have become her children if you do what is right without being frightened by any fear.
  2. You husbands in the same way, live with your wives in an understanding way, as with someone weaker, since she is a woman; and show her honor as a fellow heir of the grace of life, so that your prayers will not be hindered.
