다니엘 4:19-5:31

 다니엘은 느부갓네살 왕의 두번째 꿈을 해석해 주었고, 그 해석대로 왕은 일곱 때 동안 왕위에서 쫓겨났다가 하나님의 주권을 깨달은 후 다시 왕위를 되찾았다. 이에 느부갓네살 왕은 하나님을 찬양하고 조서를 통해 하나님께 대한 신앙 고백을 하였다. 훗날 바벨론의 왕이 된 벨사살은 잔치를 벌이고 야웨의 성전 기명으로 술을 마시다가 손가락이 나타나 벽에 글자를 쓰는 것을 보고 놀라 다니엘을 불러 그 글자를 해석하게 했는데,그 해석대로 벨사살은 그날 밤에 죽임을 당하고 메대 사람 다리오가 통치하게 되었다.
  
  꿈 해석(4:19-4:37)    
 
  1. その 木はあなた 御自身です． あなたは 成長してたくましくなり， あなたの 威力は 大きくなって 天にも 屆くほどになり， あなたの 支配は 地の 果てにまで 及んでいます．
  2. また， 王樣は 聖なる 見張りの 天使が 天から 降って 來るのを 御覽になりました． 天使はこう 言いました． この 木を 切り 倒して 滅ぼせ． ただし， 切り 株と 根を 地中に 殘し， これに 鐵と 靑銅の 鎖をかけて 野の 草の 中に 置け． 天の 露にぬれるにまかせ， ¿と 共に 野の 草を 食らわせ， 七つの 時を 過ごさせよ， と．
  3. さて， 王樣， それを 解釋いたしましょう． これはいと 高き 神の 命令で， わたしの 主君， 王樣に 起こることです．
  4. あなたは 人間の 社會から 追放されて 野の ¿と 共に 住み， 牛のように 草を 食べ， 天の 露にぬれ， こうして 七つの 時を 過ごすでしょう． そうして， あなたはついに， いと 高き 神こそが 人間の 王國を 支配し， その 御旨のままにそれをだれにでも 與えられるのだということを 悟るでしょう．
  5. その 木の 切り 株と 根を 殘すように 命じられているので， 天こそまことの 支配者であると 悟れば， 王國はあなたに 返されます．
  1. "Then Daniel, whose name is Belteshazzar, was appalled for a while as his thoughts alarmed him The king responded and said, 'Belteshazzar, do not let the dream or its interpretation alarm you ' Belteshazzar replied, 'My lord, if only the dream applied to those who hate you and its interpretation to your adversaries!
  2. 'The tree that you saw, which became large and grew strong, whose height reached to the sky and was visible to all the earth
  3. and whose foliage was beautiful and its fruit abundant, and in which was food for all, under which the beasts of the field dwelt and in whose branches the birds of the sky lodged--
  4. it is you, O king; for you have become great and grown strong, and your majesty has become great and reached to the sky and your dominion to the end of the earth.
  5. 'In that the king saw an angelic watcher, a holy one, descending from heaven and saying, "Chop down the tree and destroy it; yet leave the stump with its roots in the ground, but with a band of iron and bronze around it in the new grass of the field, and let him be drenched with the dew of heaven, and let him share with the beasts of the field until seven periods of time pass over him,"
  1. 王樣， どうぞわたしの 忠告をお 受けになり， 罪を 悔いて 施しを 行い， 惡を 改めて 貧しい 人に 惠みをお 與えになってください． そうすれば， 引き 續き 繁榮されるでしょう． 」
  2. このことはすべて， ネブカドネツァル 王の 上に 起こった．
  3. 十二か 月が 過ぎたころのことである． 王は バビロン の 王宮の 屋上を 散步しながら，
  4. こう 言った． 「なんと バビロン は 偉大ではないか． これこそ， このわたしが 都として 建て， わたしの 權力の 偉大さ， わたしの 威光の 尊さを 示すものだ． 」
  5. まだ 言い 終わらぬうちに， 天から 聲が 響いた． 「ネブカドネツァル 王よ， お 前に 告げる． 王國はお 前を 離れた．
  1. this is the interpretation, O king, and this is the decree of the Most High, which has come upon my lord the king:
  2. that you be driven away from mankind and your dwelling place be with the beasts of the field, and you be given grass to eat like cattle and be drenched with the dew of heaven; and seven periods of time will pass over you, until you recognize that the Most High is ruler over the realm of mankind and bestows it on whomever He wishes.
  3. 'And in that it was commanded to leave the stump with the roots of the tree, your kingdom will be assured to you after you recognize that it is Heaven that rules.
  4. 'Therefore, O king, may my advice be pleasing to you: break away now from your sins by doing righteousness and from your iniquities by showing mercy to the poor, in case there may be a prolonging of your prosperity.'
  5. "All this happened to Nebuchadnezzar the king.
  1. お 前は 人間の 社會から 追放されて， 野の ¿と 共に 住み， 牛のように 草を 食らい， 七つの 時を 過ごすのだ． そうしてお 前はついに， いと 高き 神こそが 人間の 王國を 支配する 者で， 神は 御旨のままにそれをだれにでも 與えるのだということを 悟るであろう． 」
  2. この 言葉は 直ちに ネブカドネツァル の 身に 起こった． 彼は 人間の 社會から 追放され， 牛のように 草を 食らい， その 體は 天の 露にぬれ， その 毛は 鷲の 羽のように， つめは 鳥のつめのように 生え 伸びた．
  3. その 時が 過ぎて， わたし ネブカドネツァル は 目を 上げて 天を 仰ぐと， 理性が 戾って 來た． わたしはいと 高き 神をたたえ， 永遠に 生きるお 方をほめたたえた． その 支配は 永遠に 續き ／その 國は 代¿に 及ぶ．
  4. すべて 地に 住む 者は 無に 等しい． 天の 軍勢をも 地に 住む 者をも 御旨のままにされる． その 手を 押さえて ／何をするのかと 言いうる 者はだれもいない．
  5. 言い 終わると， 理性がわたしに 戾った． 榮光と 輝きは 再びわたしに 與えられて， 王國の 威光となった． 貴族や 側近もわたしのもとに 戾って 來た． こうしてわたしは 王國に 復歸し， わたしの 威光は 增し 加わった．
  1. "Twelve months later he was walking on the roof of the royal palace of Babylon.
  2. "The king reflected and said, 'Is this not Babylon the great, which I myself have built as a royal residence by the might of my power and for the glory of my majesty?'
  3. "While the word was in the king's mouth, a voice came from heaven, saying, 'King Nebuchadnezzar, to you it is declared: sovereignty has been removed from you,
  4. and you will be driven away from mankind, and your dwelling place will be with the beasts of the field You will be given grass to eat like cattle, and seven periods of time will pass over you until you recognize that the Most High is ruler over the realm of mankind and bestows it on whomever He wishes.'
  5. "Immediately the word concerning Nebuchadnezzar was fulfilled; and he was driven away from mankind and began eating grass like cattle, and his body was drenched with the dew of heaven until his hair had grown like eagles' feathers and his nails like birds' claws.
  1. それゆえ， わたし ネブカドネツァル は 天の 王をほめたたえ， あがめ， 贊美する． その 御業はまこと， その 道は 正しく， 梶る 者を 倒される．
  1. "But at the end of that period, I, Nebuchadnezzar, raised my eyes toward heaven and my reason returned to me, and I blessed the Most High and praised and honored Him who lives forever; For His dominion is an everlasting dominion, And His kingdom endures from generation to generation.
  2. "All the inhabitants of the earth are accounted as nothing, But He does according to His will in the host of heaven And among the inhabitants of earth; And no one can ward off His hand Or say to Him, 'What have You done?'
  3. "At that time my reason returned to me And my majesty and splendor were restored to me for the glory of my kingdom, and my counselors and my nobles began seeking me out; so I was reestablished in my sovereignty, and surpassing greatness was added to me.
  4. "Now I, Nebuchadnezzar, praise, exalt and honor the King of heaven, for all His works are true and His ways just, and He is able to humble those who walk in pride."
 
  벨사살 왕의 잔치(5:1-5:31)    
 
  1. ベルシャツァル 王は 千人の 貴族を 招いて 大宴會を 開き， みんなで 酒を 飮んでいた．
  2. 宴も 進んだころ， ベルシャツァル は， その 父 ネブカドネツァル が エルサレム の 神殿から 奪って 來た 金銀の 祭具を 持って 來るように 命じた． 王や 貴族， 後宮の 女たちがそれで 酒を 飮もうというのである．
  3. そこで， エルサレム の 神殿から 奪って 來た 金銀の 祭具が 運び ¿まれ， 王や 貴族， 後宮の 女たちがそれで 酒を 飮み 始めた．
  4. こうして 酒を 飮みながら， 彼らは 金や 銀， 靑銅， 鐵， 木や 石などで 造った 神¿をほめたたえた．
  5. その 時， 人の 手の 指が 現れて， ともし 火に 照らされている 王宮の 白い 壁に 文字を 書き 始めた． 王は 書き 進むその 手先を 見た．
  1. Belshazzar the king held a great feast for a thousand of his nobles, and he was drinking wine in the presence of the thousand.
  2. When Belshazzar tasted the wine, he gave orders to bring the gold and silver vessels which Nebuchadnezzar his father had taken out of the temple which was in Jerusalem, so that the king and his nobles, his wives and his concubines might drink from them.
  3. Then they brought the gold vessels that had been taken out of the temple, the house of God which was in Jerusalem; and the king and his nobles, his wives and his concubines drank from them.
  4. They drank the wine and praised the gods of gold and silver, of bronze, iron, wood and stone.
  5. Suddenly the fingers of a man's hand emerged and began writing opposite the lampstand on the plaster of the wall of the king's palace, and the king saw the back of the hand that did the writing.
  1. 王は 恐怖にかられて 顔色が 變わり， 腰が 拔け， 膝が 震えた．
  2. 王は 大聲をあげ， 祈¿師， 賢者， 星占い 師などを 連れて 來させ， これら バビロン の 知者にこう 言った． 「この 字を 讀み， 解釋をしてくれる 者には， 紫の 衣を 着せ， 金の 鎖を 首にかけて， 王國を 治める 者のうちの 第三の 位を 與えよう． 」
  3. 宮廷の 知者たちは 皆， 集まって 來たが， だれもその 字を 讀むことができず， 解釋もできなかった．
  4. ベルシャツァル 王はいよいよ 恐怖にかられて 顔色が 變わり， 貴族も 皆途方に 暮れた．
  5. 王や 貴族が 話しているのを 聞いた 王妃は， 宴會場に 來てこう 言った． 「王樣がとこしえまでも 生き 永らえられますように． そんなに 心配したり 顔色を 變えたりなさらないでくださいませ．
  1. Then the king's face grew pale and his thoughts alarmed him, and his hip joints went slack and his knees began knocking together.
  2. The king called aloud to bring in the conjurers, the Chaldeans and the diviners The king spoke and said to the wise men of Babylon, "Any man who can read this inscription and explain its interpretation to me shall be clothed with purple and have a necklace of gold around his neck, and have authority as third ruler in the kingdom."
  3. Then all the king's wise men came in, but they could not read the inscription or make known its interpretation to the king.
  4. Then King Belshazzar was greatly alarmed, his face grew even paler, and his nobles were perplexed.
  5. The queen entered the banquet hall because of the words of the king and his nobles; the queen spoke and said, "O king, live forever! Do not let your thoughts alarm you or your face be pale.
  1. お 國には， 聖なる 神の 靈を 宿している 人が 一人おります． 父王樣の 代に， その 人はすばらしい 才能， 神¿のような 知惠を 示したものでございます． お 父上の ネブカドネツァル 王樣は， この 人を 占い 師， 祈¿師， 賢者， 星占い 師などの 長にしておられました．
  2. この 人には 特別な 靈の 力があって， 知識と 才能に 富み， 夢の 解釋， 謎解き， 難問の 說明などがよくできるのでございます． ダニエル という 者で， 父王樣は ベルテシャツァル と 呼んでいらっしゃいました． この ダニエル をお 召しになれば， その 字の 解釋をしてくれることでございましょう． 」
  3. そこで， ダニエル が 王の 前に 召し 出された． 王は 彼に 言った． 「父王が ユダ から 捕らえ 歸った ユダヤ 人の 捕囚の 一人， ダニエル というのはお 前か．
  4. 聞くところによると， お 前は 神¿の 靈を 宿していて， すばらしい 才能と 特別な 知惠を 持っているそうだ．
  5. 賢者や 祈¿師を 連れて 來させてこの 文字を 讀ませ， 解釋させようとしたのだが， 彼らにはそれができなかった．
  1. "There is a man in your kingdom in whom is a spirit of the holy gods; and in the days of your father, illumination, insight and wisdom like the wisdom of the gods were found in him And King Nebuchadnezzar, your father, your father the king, appointed him chief of the magicians, conjurers, Chaldeans and diviners.
  2. "This was because an extraordinary spirit, knowledge and insight, interpretation of dreams, explanation of enigmas and solving of difficult problems were found in this Daniel, whom the king named Belteshazzar. Let Daniel now be summoned and he will declare the interpretation."
  3. Then Daniel was brought in before the king. The king spoke and said to Daniel, "Are you that Daniel who is one of the exiles from Judah, whom my father the king brought from Judah?
  4. "Now I have heard about you that a spirit of the gods is in you, and that illumination, insight and extraordinary wisdom have been found in you.
  5. "Just now the wise men and the conjurers were brought in before me that they might read this inscription and make its interpretation known to me, but they could not declare the interpretation of the message.
  1. お 前はいろいろと 解釋をしたり 難問を 解いたりする 力を 持つと 聞いた． もしこの 文字を 讀み， その 意味を 說明してくれたなら， お 前に 紫の 衣を 着せ， 金の 鎖を 首にかけて， 王國を 治める 者のうち 第三の 位を 與えよう． 」
  2. ダニエル は 王に 答えた． 「贈り 物など 不要でございます． 報酬はだれか 他の 者にお 與えください． しかし， 王樣のためにその 文字を 讀み， 解釋をいたしましょう．
  3. 王樣， いと 高き 神は， あなたの 父 ネブカドネツァル 王に 王國と 權勢と 威光をお 與えになりました．
  4. その 權勢を 見て， 諸國， 諸族， 諸言語の 人¿はすべて， 恐れおののいたのです． 父王樣は 思うままに 殺し， 思うままに 生かし， 思うままに 榮譽を 與え， 思うままに ¿落させました．
  5. しかし， 父王樣は 傲慢になり， 頑に 尊大にふるまったので， 王位を 追われ， 榮光は 奪われました．
  1. "But I personally have heard about you, that you are able to give interpretations and solve difficult problems. Now if you are able to read the inscription and make its interpretation known to me, you will be clothed with purple and wear a necklace of gold around your neck, and you will have authority as the third ruler in the kingdom."
  2. Then Daniel answered and said before the king, "Keep your gifts for yourself or give your rewards to someone else; however, I will read the inscription to the king and make the interpretation known to him.
  3. "O king, the Most High God granted sovereignty, grandeur, glory and majesty to Nebuchadnezzar your father.
  4. "Because of the grandeur which He bestowed on him, all the peoples, nations and men of every language feared and trembled before him; whomever he wished he killed and whomever he wished he spared alive; and whomever he wished he elevated and whomever he wished he humbled.
  5. "But when his heart was lifted up and his spirit became so proud that he behaved arrogantly, he was deposed from his royal throne and his glory was taken away from him.
  1. 父王樣は 人間の 社會から 追放され， 心は 野の ¿のようになり， 野生のろばと 共に 住み， 牛のように 草を 食らい， 天から 降る 露にその 身をぬらし， ついに 悟ったのは， いと 高き 神こそが 人間の 王國を 支配し， その 御旨のままに 王を 立てられるのだということでした．
  2. さて， ベルシャツァル 王よ， あなたはその 王子で， これらのことをよくご 存じでありながら， なお， へりくだろうとはなさらなかった．
  3. 天の 主に 逆らって， その 神殿の 祭具を 持ち 出させ， あなた 御自身も， 貴族も， 後宮の 女たちも 皆， それで 飮みながら， 金や 銀， 靑銅， 鐵， 木や 石で 造った 神¿， 見ることも 聞くこともできず， 何も 知らないその 神¿を， ほめたたえておられます． だが， あなたの 命と 行動の 一切を 手中に 握っておられる 神を 畏れ 敬おうとはなさらない．
  4. そのために 神は， あの 手を 遣わして 文字を 書かせたのです．
  5. さて， 書かれた 文字はこうです． メネ ， メネ ， テケル ， そして， パルシン ．
  1. "He was also driven away from mankind, and his heart was made like that of beasts, and his dwelling place was with the wild donkeys He was given grass to eat like cattle, and his body was drenched with the dew of heaven until he recognized that the Most High God is ruler over the realm of mankind and that He sets over it whomever He wishes.
  2. "Yet you, his son, Belshazzar, have not humbled your heart, even though you knew all this,
  3. but you have exalted yourself against the Lord of heaven; and they have brought the vessels of His house before you, and you and your nobles, your wives and your concubines have been drinking wine from them; and you have praised the gods of silver and gold, of bronze, iron, wood and stone, which do not see, hear or understand But the God in whose hand are your life-breath and all your ways, you have not glorified.
  4. "Then the hand was sent from Him and this inscription was written out.
  5. "Now this is the inscription that was written out: 'MENE, MENE, TEKEL, UPHARSIN.'
  1. 意味はこうです． メネ は 數えるということで， すなわち， 神はあなたの 治世を 數えて， それを 終わらせられたのです．
  2. テケル は 量を 計ることで， すなわち， あなたは 秤にかけられ， 不足と 見られました．
  3. パルシン は 分けるということで， すなわち， あなたの 王國は 二分されて， メディア と ペルシア に 與えられるのです． 」
  4. これを 聞いた ベルシャツァル は， ダニエル に 紫の 衣を 着せ， 金の 鎖をその 首にかけるように 命じ， 王國を 治める 者のうち 第三の 位を 彼に 與えるという 布告を 出した．
  5. その 同じ 夜， カルデア 人の 王 ベルシャツァル は 殺された．
  1. "This is the interpretation of the message: 'MENE'--God has numbered your kingdom and put an end to it.
  2. " 'TEKEL'--you have been weighed on the scales and found deficient.
  3. " 'PERES'--your kingdom has been divided and given over to the Medes and Persians."
  4. Then Belshazzar gave orders, and they clothed Daniel with purple and put a necklace of gold around his neck, and issued a proclamation concerning him that he now had authority as the third ruler in the kingdom.
  5. That same night Belshazzar the Chaldean king was slain.
  1. So Darius the Mede received the kingdom at about the age of sixty-two.
