- イエス は， そこを 去って 道を 通りながら， 收稅所にすわっている マタイ という 人をご 覽になって， 「わたしについて 來なさい． 」と 言われた． すると 彼は 立ち 上がって， イエス に 從った．
- イエス が 家で 食事の 席に 着いておられるとき， 見よ， 取稅人や 罪人が 大ぜい 來て， イエス やその 弟子たちといっしょに 食卓に 着いていた．
- すると， これを 見た パリサイ 人たちが， イエス の 弟子たちに 言った． 「なぜ， あなたがたの 先生は， 取稅人や 罪人といっしょに 食事をするのですか． 」
- イエス はこれを 聞いて 言われた． 「醫者を 必要とするのは 丈夫な 者ではなく， 病人です．
- 『わたしはあわれみは 好むが， いけにえは 好まない． 』とはどういう 意味か， 行って 學んで 來なさい． わたしは 正しい 人を 招くためではなく， 罪人を 招くために 來たのです． 」

- As Jesus went on from there, he saw a man named Matthew sitting at the tax collector's booth. "Follow me," he told him, and Matthew got up and followed him.
- While Jesus was having dinner at Matthew's house, many tax collectors and "sinners" came and ate with him and his disciples.
- When the Pharisees saw this, they asked his disciples, "Why does your teacher eat with tax collectors and 'sinners'?"
- On hearing this, Jesus said, "It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick.
- But go and learn what this means: 'I desire mercy, not sacrifice.' For I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners."

- するとまた， ヨハネ の 弟子たちが， イエス のところに 來てこう 言った． 「私たちと パリサイ 人は 斷食するのに， なぜ， あなたの 弟子たちは 斷食しないのですか． 」
- イエス は 彼らに 言われた． 「花¿につき 添う 友だちは， 花¿がいっしょにいる 間は， どうして 悲しんだりできましょう． しかし， 花¿が 取り 去られる 時が 來ます． その 時には 斷食します．
- だれも， 眞新しい 布切れで 古い 着物の 繼ぎをするようなことはしません． そんな 繼ぎ 切れは 着物を 引き 破って， 破れがもっとひどくなるからです．
- また， 人は 新しいぶどう 酒を 古い 皮袋に 入れるようなことはしません． そんなことをすれば， 皮袋は 裂けて， ぶどう 酒が 流れ 出てしまい， 皮袋もだめになってしまいます． 新しいぶどう 酒を 新しい 皮袋に 入れれば， 兩方とも 保ちます． 」
- イエス がこれらのことを 話しておられると， 見よ， ひとりの 會堂管理者が 來て， ひれ 伏して 言った． 「私の 娘がいま 死にました． でも， おいでくださって， 娘の 上に 御手を 置いてやってください． そうすれば 娘は 生き 返ります． 」

- Then John's disciples came and asked him, "How is it that we and the Pharisees fast, but your disciples do not fast?"
- Jesus answered, "How can the guests of the bridegroom mourn while he is with them? The time will come when the bridegroom will be taken from them; then they will fast.
- "No one sews a patch of unshrunk cloth on an old garment, for the patch will pull away from the garment, making the tear worse.
- Neither do men pour new wine into old wineskins. If they do, the skins will burst, the wine will run out and the wineskins will be ruined. No, they pour new wine into new wineskins, and both are preserved."
- While he was saying this, a ruler came and knelt before him and said, "My daughter has just died. But come and put your hand on her, and she will live."

- イエス が 立って 彼について 行かれると， 弟子たちもついて 行った．
- すると， 見よ． 十二年の 間長血をわずらっている 女が， イエス のうしろに 來て， その 着物のふさにさわった．
- 「お 着物にさわることでもできれば， きっと 直る． 」と 心のうちで 考えていたからである．
- イエス は， 振り 向いて 彼女を 見て 言われた． 「娘よ． しっかりしなさい． あなたの 信仰があなたを 直したのです． 」すると， 女はその 時から 全く 直った．
- イエス はその 管理者の 家に 來られて， 笛吹く 者たちや ¿いでいる 群衆を 見て，

- Jesus got up and went with him, and so did his disciples.
- Just then a woman who had been subject to bleeding for twelve years came up behind him and touched the edge of his cloak.
- She said to herself, "If I only touch his cloak, I will be healed."
- Jesus turned and saw her. "Take heart, daughter," he said, "your faith has healed you." And the woman was healed from that moment.
- When Jesus entered the ruler's house and saw the flute players and the noisy crowd,

- 言われた． 「あちらに 行きなさい． その 子は 死んだのではない． 眠っているのです． 」すると， 彼らは イエス をあざ 笑った．
- イエス は 群衆を 外に 出してから， うちにおはいりになり， 少女の 手を 取られた． すると 少女は 起き 上がった．
- このうわさはその 地方全體に 廣まった．

- he said, "Go away. The girl is not dead but asleep." But they laughed at him.
- After the crowd had been put outside, he went in and took the girl by the hand, and she got up.
- News of this spread through all that region.
