창세기 25:1-26:22

 아브라함은 175세에 죽어 막벨라 굴에 장사되었다. 리브가는 쌍동이를 낳았는데, 장자 에서는 자신의 장자권을 동생 야곱에게 팥죽 한 그릇에 팔고 말았다. 그랄에 거하는 이삭에게 하나님께서 복을 주셔서 거부가 되게 하셨다. 이를 시기하는 블레셋 사람들과의 마찰을 피하여 이삭은 브엘세바로 장막을 옮겼다.
  
  야곱과 에서의 출생(25:1-25:34)    
 
  1. アブラハム は， もうひとりの 妻をめとった． その 名は ケトラ といった．
  2. 彼女は 彼に， ジムラン ， ヨクシャン ， メダン ， ミデヤン ， イシュバク ， シュアハ を 産んだ．
  3. ヨクシャン は シェバ と デダン を 生んだ． デダン の 子孫は アシュル 人と レトシム 人と レウミム 人であった．
  4. ミデヤン の 子は， エファ ， エフェル ， エノク ， アビダ ， エルダア であって， これらはみな， ケトラ の 子孫であった．
  5. アブラハム は 自分の 全財産を イサク に 與えた．
  1. Abraham took another wife, whose name was Keturah.
  2. She bore him Zimran, Jokshan, Medan, Midian, Ishbak and Shuah.
  3. Jokshan was the father of Sheba and Dedan; the descendants of Dedan were the Asshurites, the Letushites and the Leummites.
  4. The sons of Midian were Ephah, Epher, Hanoch, Abida and Eldaah. All these were descendants of Keturah.
  5. Abraham left everything he owned to Isaac.
  1. しかし アブラハム のそばめたちの 子らには， アブラハム は 贈り 物を 與え， 彼の 生存中に， 彼らを 東のほう， 東方の 國にやって， 自分の 子 イサク から 遠ざけた．
  2. 以上は， アブラハム の 一生の 年で， 百七十五年であった．
  3. アブラハム は 平安な 老年を 迎え， 長壽を 全うして 息絶えて 死に， 自分の 民に 加えられた．
  4. 彼の 子ら イサク と イシュマエル は， 彼を マクペラ のほら 穴に 葬った． このほら 穴は， マムレ に 面する ヘテ 人 ツォハル の 子 エフロン の 畑地の 中にあった．

  1. But while he was still living, he gave gifts to the sons of his concubines and sent them away from his son Isaac to the land of the east.
  2. Altogether, Abraham lived a hundred and seventy-five years.
  3. Then Abraham breathed his last and died at a good old age, an old man and full of years; and he was gathered to his people.
  4. His sons Isaac and Ishmael buried him in the cave of Machpelah near Mamre, in the field of Ephron son of Zohar the Hittite,
  5. the field Abraham had bought from the Hittites. There Abraham was buried with his wife Sarah.
  1. アブラハム の 死後， 神は 彼の 子 イサク を 祝福された． イサク は ベエル · ラハイ · ロイ の 近くに 住みついた．

  1. After Abraham's death, God blessed his son Isaac, who then lived near Beer Lahai Roi.
  2. This is the account of Abraham's son Ishmael, whom Sarah's maidservant, Hagar the Egyptian, bore to Abraham.
  3. These are the names of the sons of Ishmael, listed in the order of their birth: Nebaioth the firstborn of Ishmael, Kedar, Adbeel, Mibsam,
  4. Mishma, Dumah, Massa,
  5. Hadad, Tema, Jetur, Naphish and Kedemah.
  1. これらが イシュマエル の 子孫で， それらは 彼らの 村落と 宿營につけられた 名であって， 十二人の， それぞれの 氏族の 長である．
  2. 以上は イシュマエル の 生涯で， 百三十七年であった． 彼は 息絶えて 死に， その 民に 加えられた．
  3. イシュマエル の 子孫は， ハビラ から， エジプト に 近い， アシュル への 道にある シュル にわたって， 住みつき， それぞれ 自分のすべての 兄弟たちに 敵對して 住んだ．

  1. These were the sons of Ishmael, and these are the names of the twelve tribal rulers according to their settlements and camps.
  2. Altogether, Ishmael lived a hundred and thirty-seven years. He breathed his last and died, and he was gathered to his people.
  3. His descendants settled in the area from Havilah to Shur, near the border of Egypt, as you go toward Asshur. And they lived in hostility toward all their brothers.
  4. This is the account of Abraham's son Isaac. Abraham became the father of Isaac,
  5. and Isaac was forty years old when he married Rebekah daughter of Bethuel the Aramean from Paddan Aram and sister of Laban the Aramean.
  1. イサク は 自分の 妻のために 主に 祈願した． 彼女が 不妊の 女であったからである． 主は 彼の 祈りに 答えられた． それで 彼の 妻 リベカ はみごもった．
  2. 子どもたちが 彼女の 腹の 中でぶつかり 合うようになったとき， 彼女は， 「こんなことでは， いったいどうなるのでしょう． 私は． 」と 言った． そして 主のみこころを 求めに 行った．
  3. すると 主は 彼女に 仰せられた． 「二つの 國があなたの 胎內にあり， 二つの 國民があなたから 分かれ 出る． 一つの 國民は 他の 國民より 强く， 兄が 弟に 仕える． 」
  4. 出産の 時が 滿ちると， 見よ， ふたごが 胎內にいた．
  5. 最初に 出て 來た 子は， 赤くて， 全身毛衣のようであった． それでその 子を エサウ と 名づけた．
  1. Isaac prayed to the LORD on behalf of his wife, because she was barren. The LORD answered his prayer, and his wife Rebekah became pregnant.
  2. The babies jostled each other within her, and she said, "Why is this happening to me?" So she went to inquire of the LORD.
  3. The LORD said to her, "Two nations are in your womb, and two peoples from within you will be separated; one people will be stronger than the other, and the older will serve the younger."
  4. When the time came for her to give birth, there were twin boys in her womb.
  5. The first to come out was red, and his whole body was like a hairy garment; so they named him Esau.
  1. そのあとで 弟が 出て 來たが， その 手は エサウ のかかとをつかんでいた． それでその 子を ヤコブ と 名づけた． イサク は 彼らを 生んだとき， 六十歲であった．
  2. この 子どもたちが 成長したとき， エサウ は 巧みな ¿師， 野の 人となり， ヤコブ は 穩やかな 人となり， 天幕に 住んでいた．
  3. イサク は エサウ を 愛していた． それは 彼が ¿の 獲物を 好んでいたからである． リベカ は ヤコブ を 愛していた．
  4. さて， ヤコブ が 煮物を 煮ているとき， エサウ が 飢え 疲れて 野から 歸って 來た．
  5. エサウ は ヤコブ に 言った． 「どうか， その 赤いのを， そこの 赤い 物を 私に 食べさせてくれ． 私は 飢え 疲れているのだから． 」それゆえ， 彼の 名は エドム と 呼ばれた．
  1. After this, his brother came out, with his hand grasping Esau's heel; so he was named Jacob. Isaac was sixty years old when Rebekah gave birth to them.
  2. The boys grew up, and Esau became a skillful hunter, a man of the open country, while Jacob was a quiet man, staying among the tents.
  3. Isaac, who had a taste for wild game, loved Esau, but Rebekah loved Jacob.
  4. Once when Jacob was cooking some stew, Esau came in from the open country, famished.
  5. He said to Jacob, "Quick, let me have some of that red stew! I'm famished!" (That is why he was also called Edom. )
  1. すると ヤコブ は， 「今すぐ， あなたの 長子の 權利を 私に 賣りなさい． 」と 言った．
  2. エサウ は， 「見てくれ． 死にそうなのだ． 長子の 權利など， 今の 私に 何になろう． 」と 言った．
  3. それで ヤコブ は， 「まず， 私に 誓いなさい． 」と 言ったので， エサウ は ヤコブ に 誓った． こうして 彼の 長子の 權利を ヤコブ に 賣った．
  4. ヤコブ は エサウ に パン と レンズ 豆の 煮物を 與えたので， エサウ は 食べたり， 飮んだりして， 立ち 去った． こうして エサウ は 長子の 權利を 輕蔑したのである．
  1. Jacob replied, "First sell me your birthright."
  2. "Look, I am about to die," Esau said. "What good is the birthright to me?"
  3. But Jacob said, "Swear to me first." So he swore an oath to him, selling his birthright to Jacob.
  4. Then Jacob gave Esau some bread and some lentil stew. He ate and drank, and then got up and left. So Esau despised his birthright.
 
  이삭과 아비멜렉(26:1-26:22)    
 
  1. さて， アブラハム の 時代にあった 先のききんとは 別に， この 國にまたききんがあった． それで イサク は ゲラル の ペリシテ 人の 王 アビメレク のところへ 行った．
  2. 主は イサク に 現われて 仰せられた． 「エジプト へは 下るな． わたしがあなたに 示す 地に 住みなさい．
  3. あなたはこの 地に， 滯在しなさい． わたしはあなたとともにいて， あなたを 祝福しよう． それはわたしが， これらの 國¿をすべて， あなたとあなたの 子孫に 與えるからだ． こうしてわたしは， あなたの 父 アブラハム に 誓った 誓いを 果たすのだ．
  4. そしてわたしは， あなたの 子孫を 空の 星のように 增し 加え， あなたの 子孫に， これらの 國¿をみな 與えよう． こうして 地のすべての 國¿は， あなたの 子孫によって 祝福される．
  5. これは アブラハム がわたしの 聲に 聞き 從い， わたしの 戒めと 命令とおきてとおしえを 守ったからである． 」
  1. Now there was a famine in the land--besides the earlier famine of Abraham's time--and Isaac went to Abimelech king of the Philistines in Gerar.
  2. The LORD appeared to Isaac and said, "Do not go down to Egypt; live in the land where I tell you to live.
  3. Stay in this land for a while, and I will be with you and will bless you. For to you and your descendants I will give all these lands and will confirm the oath I swore to your father Abraham.
  4. I will make your descendants as numerous as the stars in the sky and will give them all these lands, and through your offspring all nations on earth will be blessed,
  5. because Abraham obeyed me and kept my requirements, my commands, my decrees and my laws."
  1. イサク が ゲラル に 住んでいるとき，
  2. その 土地の 人¿が 彼の 妻のことを 尋ねた． すると 彼は， 「あれは 私の 妻です． 」と 言うのを 恐れて， 「あれは 私の 妹です． 」と 答えた． リベカ が 美しかったので， リベカ のことでこの 土地の 人¿が 自分を 殺しはしないかと 思ったからである．
  3. イサク がそこに 滯在して， かなりたったある 日， ペリシテ 人の 王 アビメレク が 窓から 見おろしていると， なんと， イサク がその 妻の リベカ を 愛撫しているのが 見えた．
  4. それで アビメレク は イサク を 呼び 寄せて 言った． 「確かに， あの 女はあなたの 妻だ． なぜあなたは『あれは 私の 妹です． 』と 言ったのだ． 」それで イサク は， 「彼女のことで 殺されはしないかと 思ったからです． 」と 答えた．
  5. アビメレク は 言った． 「何ということをしてくれたのだ． もう 少しで， 民のひとりがあなたの 妻と 寢て， あなたはわれわれに 罪を 負わせるところだった． 」
  1. So Isaac stayed in Gerar.
  2. When the men of that place asked him about his wife, he said, "She is my sister," because he was afraid to say, "She is my wife." He thought, "The men of this place might kill me on account of Rebekah, because she is beautiful."
  3. When Isaac had been there a long time, Abimelech king of the Philistines looked down from a window and saw Isaac caressing his wife Rebekah.
  4. So Abimelech summoned Isaac and said, "She is really your wife! Why did you say, 'She is my sister'?" Isaac answered him, "Because I thought I might lose my life on account of her."
  5. Then Abimelech said, "What is this you have done to us? One of the men might well have slept with your wife, and you would have brought guilt upon us."
  1. そこで アビメレク はすべての 民に 命じて 言った． 「この 人と， この 人の 妻に 觸れる 者は， 必ず 殺される． 」
  2. イサク はその 地に 種を 蒔き， その 年に 百倍の 收穫を 見た． 主が 彼を 祝福してくださったのである．
  3. こうして， この 人は 富み， ますます 榮えて， 非常に 裕福になった．
  4. 彼が 羊の 群れや， 牛の 群れ， それに 多くのしもべたちを 持つようになったので， ペリシテ 人は 彼をねたんだ．
  5. それで ペリシテ 人は， イサク の 父 アブラハム の 時代に， 父のしもべたちが 掘ったすべての 井戶に 土を 滿たしてこれをふさいだ．
  1. So Abimelech gave orders to all the people: "Anyone who molests this man or his wife shall surely be put to death."
  2. Isaac planted crops in that land and the same year reaped a hundredfold, because the LORD blessed him.
  3. The man became rich, and his wealth continued to grow until he became very wealthy.
  4. He had so many flocks and herds and servants that the Philistines envied him.
  5. So all the wells that his father's servants had dug in the time of his father Abraham, the Philistines stopped up, filling them with earth.
  1. そうして アビメレク は イサク に 言った． 「あなたは， われわれよりはるかに 强くなったから， われわれのところから 出て 行ってくれ． 」
  2. イサク はそこを 去って， ゲラル の 谷間に 天幕を 張り， そこに 住んだ．
  3. イサク は， 彼の 父 アブラハム の 時代に 掘ってあった 井戶を， 再び 掘った． それらは ペリシテ 人が アブラハム の 死後， ふさいでいたものである． イサク は， 父がそれらにつけていた 名と 同じ 名をそれらにつけた．
  4. イサク のしもべたちが 谷間を 掘っているとき， そこに 湧き 水の 出る 井戶を 見つけた．
  5. ところが， ゲラル の 羊飼いたちは「この 水はわれわれのものだ． 」と 言って， イサク の 羊飼いたちと 爭った． それで， イサク はその 井戶の 名を エセク と 呼んだ． それは 彼らが イサク と 爭ったからである．
  1. Then Abimelech said to Isaac, "Move away from us; you have become too powerful for us."
  2. So Isaac moved away from there and encamped in the Valley of Gerar and settled there.
  3. Isaac reopened the wells that had been dug in the time of his father Abraham, which the Philistines had stopped up after Abraham died, and he gave them the same names his father had given them.
  4. Isaac's servants dug in the valley and discovered a well of fresh water there.
  5. But the herdsmen of Gerar quarreled with Isaac's herdsmen and said, "The water is ours!" So he named the well Esek, because they disputed with him.
  1. しもべたちは， もう 一つの 井戶を 掘った． ところが， それについても 彼らが 爭ったので， その 名を シテナ と 呼んだ．
  2. イサク はそこから 移って， ほかの 井戶を 掘った． その 井戶については 爭いがなかったので， その 名を レホボテ と 呼んだ． そして 彼は 言った． 「今や， 主は 私たちに 廣い 所を 與えて， 私たちがこの 地でふえるようにしてくださった． 」
  1. Then they dug another well, but they quarreled over that one also; so he named it Sitnah.
  2. He moved on from there and dug another well, and no one quarreled over it. He named it Rehoboth, saying, "Now the LORD has given us room and we will flourish in the land."
