마태복음 13:44-14:12

예수님께서는 감추인 보화와 진주와 그물의 비유를 통해 천국을 가르치셨다. 그 후 고향 나사렛에 가셨으나 나사렛 사람들은 예수님을 배척했다. 한편 세례 요한은 헤롯의 경솔한 맹세와 헤로디아의 간계에 의해 순교당했다.
 
  나사렛 사람들의 배척(13:44-13:58)    
 
  1. 天の 御は, 畑に 隱された 寶のようなものです. 人はその 寶を 見つけると, それを 隱しておいて, 大喜びで 歸り, 持ち 物を 全部賣り 拂ってその 畑を 買います.
  2. また, 天の 御は, 良い 眞珠を 搜している 商人のようなものです.
  3. すばらしい 値うちの 眞珠を 一つ 見つけた 者は, 行って 持ち 物を 全部賣り 拂ってそれを 買ってしまいます.
  4. また, 天の 御は, 海におろしてあらゆる 種類の 魚を 集める 地引き 網のようなものです.
  5. 網がいっぱいになると 岸に 引き 上げ, すわり ¿んで, 良いものは 器に 入れ, 惡いものは 捨てるのです.
  1. "The kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field. When a man found it, he hid it again, and then in his joy went and sold all he had and bought that field.
  2. "Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant looking for fine pearls.
  3. When he found one of great value, he went away and sold everything he had and bought it.
  4. "Once again, the kingdom of heaven is like a net that was let down into the lake and caught all kinds of fish.
  5. When it was full, the fishermen pulled it up on the shore. Then they sat down and collected the good fish in baskets, but threw the bad away.
  1. この 世の 終わりにもそのようになります. 御使いたちが 來て, 正しい 者の 中から 惡い 者をえり 分け,
  2. 火の 燃える 爐に 投げ ¿みます. 彼らはそこで 泣いて 齒ぎしりするのです.
  3. あなたがたは, これらのことがみなわかりましたか. 」彼らは「はい. 」と イエス に 言った.
  4. そこで, イエス は 言われた. 「だから, 天の 御の 弟子となった 學者はみな, 自分の 倉から 新しい 物でも 古い 物でも 取り 出す 一家の 主人のようなものです. 」
  5. これらのたとえを 話し 終えると, イエス はそこを 去られた.
  1. This is how it will be at the end of the age. The angels will come and separate the wicked from the righteous
  2. and throw them into the fiery furnace, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
  3. "Have you understood all these things?" Jesus asked. "Yes," they replied.
  4. He said to them, "Therefore every teacher of the law who has been instructed about the kingdom of heaven is like the owner of a house who brings out of his storeroom new treasures as well as old."
  5. When Jesus had finished these parables, he moved on from there.
  1. それから, ご 自分の 鄕里に 行って, 會堂で 人¿を 敎え 始められた. すると, 彼らは 驚いて 言った. 「この 人は, こんな 知惠と 不思議な 力をどこで 得たのでしょう.
  2. この 人は 大工の 息子ではありませんか. 彼の 母親は マリヤ で, 彼の 兄弟は, ヤコブ , ヨセフ , シモン , ユダ ではありませんか.
  3. 妹たちもみな 私たちといっしょにいるではありませんか. とすると, いったいこの 人は, これらのものをどこから 得たのでしょう. 」
  4. こうして, 彼らは イエス につまずいた. しかし, イエス は 彼らに 言われた. 「預言者が 尊敬されないのは, 自分の 鄕里, 家族の 間だけです. 」
  5. そして, イエス は, 彼らの 不信仰のゆえに, そこでは 多くの 奇蹟をなさらなかった.
  1. Coming to his hometown, he began teaching the people in their synagogue, and they were amazed. "Where did this man get this wisdom and these miraculous powers?" they asked.
  2. "Isn't this the carpenter's son? Isn't his mother's name Mary, and aren't his brothers James, Joseph, Simon and Judas?
  3. Aren't all his sisters with us? Where then did this man get all these things?"
  4. And they took offense at him. But Jesus said to them, "Only in his hometown and in his own house is a prophet without honor."
  5. And he did not do many miracles there because of their lack of faith.
 
  세례 요한의 죽음(14:1-14:12)    
 
  1. そのころ, 國主 ヘロデ は, イエス のうわさを 聞いて,
  2. 侍從たちに 言った. 「あれは バプテスマ の ヨハネ だ. ヨハネ が 死人の 中からよみがえったのだ. だから, あんな 力が 彼のうちに ¿いているのだ. 」
  3. 實は, この ヘロデ は, 自分の 兄弟 ピリポ の 妻 ヘロデヤ のことで, ヨハネ を 捕えて 縛り, 牢に 入れたのであった.
  4. それは, ヨハネ が 彼に, 「あなたが 彼女をめとるのは 不法です. 」と 言い 張ったからである.
  5. ヘロデ は ヨハネ を 殺したかったが, 群衆を 恐れた. というのは, 彼らは ヨハネ を 預言者と 認めていたからである.
  1. At that time Herod the tetrarch heard the reports about Jesus,
  2. and he said to his attendants, "This is John the Baptist; he has risen from the dead! That is why miraculous powers are at work in him."
  3. Now Herod had arrested John and bound him and put him in prison because of Herodias, his brother Philip's wife,
  4. for John had been saying to him: "It is not lawful for you to have her."
  5. Herod wanted to kill John, but he was afraid of the people, because they considered him a prophet.
  1. たまたま ヘロデ の 誕生祝いがあって, ヘロデヤ の 娘がみなの 前で 踊りを 踊って ヘロデ を 喜ばせた.
  2. それで, 彼は, その 娘に, 願う 物は 何でも 必ず 上げると, 誓って 堅い 約束をした.
  3. ところが, 娘は 母親にそそのかされて, こう 言った. 「今ここに, バプテスマ の ヨハネ の 首を 盆に 載せて 私に 下さい. 」
  4. 王は 心を 痛めたが, 自分の 誓いもあり, また 列席の 人¿の 手前もあって, 與えるように 命令した.
  5. 彼は 人をやって, 牢の 中で ヨハネ の 首をはねさせた.
  1. On Herod's birthday the daughter of Herodias danced for them and pleased Herod so much
  2. that he promised with an oath to give her whatever she asked.
  3. Prompted by her mother, she said, "Give me here on a platter the head of John the Baptist."
  4. The king was distressed, but because of his oaths and his dinner guests, he ordered that her request be granted
  5. and had John beheaded in the prison.
  1. そして, その 首は 盆に 載せて 運ばれ, 少女に 與えられたので, 少女はそれを 母親のところに 持って 行った.
  2. それから, ヨハネ の 弟子たちがやって 來て, 死體を 引き 取って 葬った. そして, イエス のところに 行って 報告した.
  1. His head was brought in on a platter and given to the girl, who carried it to her mother.
  2. John's disciples came and took his body and buried it. Then they went and told Jesus.
