- そこで， イエス は 彼らに 答えて 言われた． 「なぜ， あなたがたも， 自分たちの 言い 傳えのために 神の 戒めを 犯すのですか．
- 神は『あなたの 父と 母を 敬え． 』また『父や 母をののしる 者は， 死刑に 處せられる． 』と 言われたのです．
- それなのに， あなたがたは， 『だれでも， 父や 母に 向かって， 私からあなたのために 差し 上げられる 物は， 供え 物になりましたと 言う 者は，

- Then some Pharisees and teachers of the law came to Jesus from Jerusalem and asked,
- "Why do your disciples break the tradition of the elders? They don't wash their hands before they eat!"
- Jesus replied, "And why do you break the command of God for the sake of your tradition?
- For God said, 'Honor your father and mother' and 'Anyone who curses his father or mother must be put to death.'
- But you say that if a man says to his father or mother, 'Whatever help you might otherwise have received from me is a gift devoted to God,'

- その 物をもって 父や 母を 尊んではならない． 』と 言っています． こうしてあなたがたは， 自分たちの 言い 傳えのために， 神のことばを 無にしてしまいました．

- he is not to 'honor his father' with it. Thus you nullify the word of God for the sake of your tradition.
- You hypocrites! Isaiah was right when he prophesied about you:
- " 'These people honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me.
- They worship me in vain; their teachings are but rules taught by men.'"
- Jesus called the crowd to him and said, "Listen and understand.

- 口にはいる 物は 人を 汚しません． しかし， 口から 出るもの， これが 人を 汚します． 」
- そのとき， 弟子たちが， 近寄って 來て， イエス に 言った． 「パリサイ 人が， みことばを 聞いて， 腹を 立てたのをご 存じですか． 」
- しかし， イエス は 答えて 言われた． 「わたしの 天の 父がお 植えにならなかった 木は， みな 根こそぎにされます．
- 彼らのことは 放っておきなさい． 彼らは 盲人を 手引きする 盲人です． もし， 盲人が 盲人を 手引きするなら， ふたりとも 穴に 落ち ¿むのです． 」
- そこで， ペテロ は， イエス に 答えて 言った． 「私たちに， そのたとえを 說明してください． 」

- What goes into a man's mouth does not make him 'unclean,' but what comes out of his mouth, that is what makes him 'unclean.' "
- Then the disciples came to him and asked, "Do you know that the Pharisees were offended when they heard this?"
- He replied, "Every plant that my heavenly Father has not planted will be pulled up by the roots.
- Leave them; they are blind guides. If a blind man leads a blind man, both will fall into a pit."
- Peter said, "Explain the parable to us."

- イエス は 言われた． 「あなたがたも， まだわからないのですか．
- 口にはいる 物はみな， 腹にはいり， かわやに 捨てられることを 知らないのですか．
- しかし， 口から 出るものは， 心から 出て 來ます． それは 人を 汚します．
- 惡い 考え， 殺人， 姦淫， 不品行， 盜み， 僞證， ののしりは 心から 出て 來るからです．
- これらは， 人を 汚すものです． しかし， 洗わない 手で 食べることは 人を 汚しません． 」

- "Are you still so dull?" Jesus asked them.
- "Don't you see that whatever enters the mouth goes into the stomach and then out of the body?
- But the things that come out of the mouth come from the heart, and these make a man 'unclean.'
- For out of the heart come evil thoughts, murder, adultery, sexual immorality, theft, false testimony, slander.
- These are what make a man 'unclean'; but eating with unwashed hands does not make him 'unclean.' "
