- さて， イエス にさわっていただこうとして， 人¿が 子どもたちを， みもとに 連れて 來た． ところが， 弟子たちは 彼らをしかった．
- イエス はそれをご 覽になり， 憤って， 彼らに 言われた． 「子どもたちを， わたしのところに 來させなさい． 止めてはいけません． 神の 國は， このような 者たちのものです．
- まことに， あなたがたに 告げます． 子どものように 神の 國を 受け 入れる 者でなければ， 決してそこに， はいることはできません． 」
- そして イエス は 子どもたちを 抱き， 彼らの 上に 手を 置いて 祝福された．
- イエス が 道に 出て 行かれると， ひとりの 人が 走り 寄って， 御前にひざまずいて， 尋ねた． 「尊い 先生． 永遠のいのちを 自分のものとして 受けるためには， 私は 何をしたらよいでしょうか． 」

- People were bringing little children to Jesus to have him touch them, but the disciples rebuked them.
- When Jesus saw this, he was indignant. He said to them, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these.
- I tell you the truth, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it."
- And he took the children in his arms, put his hands on them and blessed them.
- As Jesus started on his way, a man ran up to him and fell on his knees before him. "Good teacher," he asked, "what must I do to inherit eternal life?"

- イエス は 彼に 言われた． 「なぜ， わたしを『尊い 』と 言うのですか． 尊い 方は， 神おひとりのほかには， だれもありません．
- 戒めはあなたもよく 知っているはずです． 『殺してはならない． 姦淫してはならない． 盜んではならない． 僞證を 立ててはならない． 欺き 取ってはならない． 父と 母を 敬え． 』」
- すると， その 人は イエス に 言った． 「先生． 私はそのようなことをみな， 小さい 時から 守っております． 」
- イエス は 彼を 見つめ， その 人をいつくしんで 言われた． 「あなたには， 欠けたことが 一つあります． 歸って， あなたの 持ち 物をみな 賣り 拂い， 貧しい 人たちに 與えなさい． そうすれば， あなたは 天に 寶を 積むことになります． そのうえで， わたしについて 來なさい． 」
- すると 彼は， このことばに 顔を 曇らせ， 悲しみながら 立ち 去った． なぜなら， この 人は 多くの 財産を 持っていたからである．

- "Why do you call me good?" Jesus answered. "No one is good--except God alone.
- You know the commandments: 'Do not murder, do not commit adultery, do not steal, do not give false testimony, do not defraud, honor your father and mother.'"
- "Teacher," he declared, "all these I have kept since I was a boy."
- Jesus looked at him and loved him. "One thing you lack," he said. "Go, sell everything you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me."
- At this the man's face fell. He went away sad, because he had great wealth.

- イエス は， 見回して， 弟子たちに 言われた． 「裕福な 者が 神の 國にはいることは， 何とむずかしいことでしょう． 」
- 弟子たちは， イエス のことばに 驚いた． しかし， イエス は 重ねて， 彼らに 答えて 言われた． 「子たちよ． 神の 國にはいることは， 何とむずかしいことでしょう．
- 金持ちが 神の 國にはいるよりは， らくだが 針の 穴を 通るほうがもっとやさしい． 」
- 弟子たちは， ますます 驚いて 互いに 言った． 「それでは， だれが 救われることができるのだろうか． 」
- イエス は， 彼らをじっと 見て 言われた． 「それは 人にはできないことですが， 神は， そうではありません． どんなことでも， 神にはできるのです． 」

- Jesus looked around and said to his disciples, "How hard it is for the rich to enter the kingdom of God!"
- The disciples were amazed at his words. But Jesus said again, "Children, how hard it is to enter the kingdom of God!
- It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God."
- The disciples were even more amazed, and said to each other, "Who then can be saved?"
- Jesus looked at them and said, "With man this is impossible, but not with God; all things are possible with God."

- ペテロ が イエス にこう 言い 始めた． 「ご 覽ください． 私たちは， 何もかも 捨てて， あなたに 從ってまいりました． 」
- イエス は 言われた． 「まことに， あなたがたに 告げます． わたしのために， また 福音のために， 家， 兄弟， 姉妹， 母， 父， 子， 畑を 捨てた 者で，
- その 百倍を 受けない 者はありません． 今のこの 時代には， 家， 兄弟， 姉妹， 母， 子， 畑を 迫害の 中で 受け， 後の 世では 永遠のいのちを 受けます．
- しかし， 先の 者があとになり， あとの 者が 先になることが 多いのです． 」

- Peter said to him, "We have left everything to follow you!"
- "I tell you the truth," Jesus replied, "no one who has left home or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or fields for me and the gospel
- will fail to receive a hundred times as much in this present age (homes, brothers, sisters, mothers, children and fields--and with them, persecutions) and in the age to come, eternal life.
- But many who are first will be last, and the last first."
