- ですから， 愛されている 子どもらしく， 神にならう 者となりなさい．
- また， 愛のうちに 步みなさい． キリスト もあなたがたを 愛して， 私たちのために， ご 自身を 神へのささげ 物， また 供え 物とし， 香ばしいかおりをおささげになりました．
- あなたがたの 間では， 聖徒にふさわしく， 不品行も， どんな 汚れも， またむさぼりも， 口にすることさえいけません．
- また， みだらなことや， 愚かな 話や， 下品な 冗談を 避けなさい． そのようなことは 良くないことです． むしろ， 感謝しなさい．
- あなたがたがよく 見て 知っているとおり， 不品行な 者や， 汚れた 者や， むさぼる 者 ··これが 偶像禮拜者です． ··こういう 人はだれも， キリスト と 神との 御國を 相續することができません．

- Be imitators of God, therefore, as dearly loved children
- and live a life of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.
- But among you there must not be even a hint of sexual immorality, or of any kind of impurity, or of greed, because these are improper for God's holy people.
- Nor should there be obscenity, foolish talk or coarse joking, which are out of place, but rather thanksgiving.
- For of this you can be sure: No immoral, impure or greedy person--such a man is an idolater--has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God.

- むなしいことばに， だまされてはいけません． こういう 行ないのゆえに， 神の 怒りは 不從順な 子らに 下るのです．
- ですから， 彼らの 仲間になってはいけません．
- あなたがたは， 以前は 暗やみでしたが， 今は， 主にあって， 光となりました． 光の 子どもらしく 步みなさい．
- ··光の 結ぶ 實は， あらゆる 善意と 正義と 眞實なのです． ··
- そのためには， 主に 喜ばれることが 何であるかを 見分けなさい．

- Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of such things God's wrath comes on those who are disobedient.
- Therefore do not be partners with them.
- For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Live as children of light
- (for the fruit of the light consists in all goodness, righteousness and truth)
- and find out what pleases the Lord.

- 實を 結ばない 暗やみのわざに 仲間入りしないで， むしろ， それを 明るみに 出しなさい．
- なぜなら， 彼らがひそかに 行なっていることは， 口にするのも 恥ずかしいことだからです．
- けれども， 明るみに 引き 出されるものは， みな， 光によって 明らかにされます．
- 明らかにされたものはみな， 光だからです． それで， こう 言われています． 「眠っている 人よ． 目をさませ． 死者の 中から 起き 上がれ． そうすれば， キリスト が， あなたを 照らされる． 」
- そういうわけですから， 賢くない 人のようにではなく， 賢い 人のように 步んでいるかどうか， よくよく 注意し，

- Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them.
- For it is shameful even to mention what the disobedient do in secret.
- But everything exposed by the light becomes visible,
- for it is light that makes everything visible. This is why it is said: "Wake up, O sleeper, rise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you."
- Be very careful, then, how you live--not as unwise but as wise,

- 機會を 十分に 生かして 用いなさい． 惡い 時代だからです．
- ですから， 愚かにならないで， 主のみこころは 何であるかを， よく 悟りなさい．
- また， 酒に 醉ってはいけません． そこには 放蕩があるからです． 御靈に 滿たされなさい．
- 詩と 贊美と 靈の 歌とをもって， 互いに 語り， 主に 向かって， 心から 歌い， また 贊美しなさい．
- いつでも， すべてのことについて， 私たちの 主 イエス · キリスト の 名によって 父なる 神に 感謝しなさい．

- making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil.
- Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord's will is.
- Do not get drunk on wine, which leads to debauchery. Instead, be filled with the Spirit.
- Speak to one another with psalms, hymns and spiritual songs. Sing and make music in your heart to the Lord,
- always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

- キリスト を 恐れ 尊んで， 互いに 從いなさい．
- 妻たちよ． あなたがたは， 主に 從うように， 自分の 夫に 從いなさい．
- なぜなら， キリスト は 敎會のかしらであって， ご 自身がそのからだの 救い 主であられるように， 夫は 妻のかしらであるからです．
- 敎會が キリスト に 從うように， 妻も， すべてのことにおいて， 夫に 從うべきです．
- 夫たちよ． キリスト が 敎會を 愛し， 敎會のためにご 自身をささげられたように， あなたがたも， 自分の 妻を 愛しなさい．

- Submit to one another out of reverence for Christ.
- Wives, submit to your husbands as to the Lord.
- For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church, his body, of which he is the Savior.
- Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit to their husbands in everything.
- Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her

- キリスト がそうされたのは， みことばにより， 水の 洗いをもって， 敎會をきよめて 聖なるものとするためであり，
- ご 自身で， しみや， しわや， そのようなものの 何一つない， 聖く 傷のないものとなった 榮光の 敎會を， ご 自分の 前に 立たせるためです．
- そのように， 夫も 自分の 妻を 自分のからだのように 愛さなければなりません． 自分の 妻を 愛する 者は 自分を 愛しているのです．
- だれも 自分の 身を 憎んだ 者はいません． かえって， これを 養い 育てます． それは キリスト が 敎會をそうされたのと 同じです．
- 私たちは キリスト のからだの 部分だからです．

- to make her holy, cleansing her by the washing with water through the word,
- and to present her to himself as a radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless.
- In this same way, husbands ought to love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself.
- After all, no one ever hated his own body, but he feeds and cares for it, just as Christ does the church--
- for we are members of his body.
