요엘

  본서는 유다에 임한 가뭄과 메뚜기 재앙을 통해 야웨의 심판하실 날이 임박했음을 선언하고 있으며, 전 인류에게 임할 오순절 성령 강림 사건을 명확하게 예언하고 있다.

  요엘은 메뚜기 재앙이 백성들의 죄와 불순종에서 왔음을 밝히고, 이는 장차 올 야웨의 심판의 전조임을 밝히면서 ‘야웨의 날’의 임박함을 선포하고 회개를 촉구하고 있다. 그리고 하나님께서 회개한 자들에게 성령을 부어 주셔서 하나님의 구원과 복을 누리게 될 것을 예언함으로써 그들에게 희망을 주고 있다.

 

 

요엘 1:1-2:17

 요엘은 유다 전역을 휩쓴 메뚜기 재앙이 하나님의 징계임을 알리면서 이 재앙으로 인해 온 유다 백성들과 자연이 받은 피해 상황을 자세히 묘사하였다. 그는 ‘야웨의 날’의 심판이 크고 심히 두렵다는 것과 그날이 임박했음을 말하면서 유다 백성들에게 금식과 마음을 찢는 회개를 요청하였다.
  
  메뚜기 재앙(1:1-1:20)    
 
  1. ペトエル の 子 ヨエル にあった 主のことば．
  2. 長老たちよ． これを 聞け． この 地に 住む 者もみな， 耳を 貸せ． このようなことがあなたがたの 時代に， また， あなたがたの 先祖の 時代にあったろうか．
  3. これをあなたがたの 子どもたちに 傳え， 子どもたちはその 子どもたちに， その 子どもたちは 後の 世代に 傳えよ．
  4. かみつくいなごが 殘した 物は， いなごが 食い， いなごが 殘した 物は， ばったが 食い， ばったが 殘した 物は， 食い 荒らすいなごが 食った．
  5. 醉っぱらいよ． 目をさまして， 泣け． すべてぶどう 酒を 飮む 者よ． 泣きわめけ． 甘いぶどう 酒があなたがたの 口から 斷たれたからだ．
  1. The word of the LORD that came to Joel son of Pethuel.
  2. Hear this, you elders; listen, all who live in the land. Has anything like this ever happened in your days or in the days of your forefathers?
  3. Tell it to your children, and let your children tell it to their children, and their children to the next generation.
  4. What the locust swarm has left the great locusts have eaten; what the great locusts have left the young locusts have eaten; what the young locusts have left other locusts have eaten.
  5. Wake up, you drunkards, and weep! Wail, all you drinkers of wine; wail because of the new wine, for it has been snatched from your lips.
  1. 一つの 國民がわたしの 國に 攻め 上った． 力强く， 數えきれない 國民だ． その 齒は 雄獅子の 齒， それには 雄獅子のきばがある．
  2. それはわたしのぶどうの 木を 荒れすたれさせ， わたしのいちじくの 木を 引き 裂き， これをまる 裸に 引きむいて 投げ 倒し， その 枝¿を 白くした．
  3. 若い 時の 夫のために， 荒布をまとったおとめのように， 泣き 悲しめ．
  4. 穀物のささげ 物と 注ぎのぶどう 酒は 主の 宮から 斷たれ， 主に 仕える 祭司たちは 喪に 服する．
  5. 畑は 荒らされ， 地も 喪に 服する． これは 穀物が 荒らされ， 新しいぶどう 酒も 干上がり， 油もかれてしまうからだ．
  1. A nation has invaded my land, powerful and without number; it has the teeth of a lion, the fangs of a lioness.
  2. It has laid waste my vines and ruined my fig trees. It has stripped off their bark and thrown it away, leaving their branches white.
  3. Mourn like a virgin in sackcloth grieving for the husband of her youth.
  4. Grain offerings and drink offerings are cut off from the house of the LORD. The priests are in mourning, those who minister before the LORD.
  5. The fields are ruined, the ground is dried up ; the grain is destroyed, the new wine is dried up, the oil fails.
  1. 農夫たちよ． 恥を 見よ． ぶどう 作りたちよ． 泣きわめけ． 小麥と 大麥のために． 畑の 刈り 入れがなくなったからだ．
  2. ぶどうの 木は 枯れ， いちじくの 木はしおれ， ざくろ， なつめやし， りんご， あらゆる 野の 木¿は 枯れた． 人の 子らから 喜びが 消えうせた．
  3. 祭司たちよ． 荒布をまとっていたみ 悲しめ． 祭壇に 仕える 者たちよ． 泣きわめけ． 神に 仕える 者たちよ． 宮に 行き， 荒布をまとって 夜を 過ごせ． 穀物のささげ 物も 注ぎのぶどう 酒もあなたがたの 神の 宮から 退けられたからだ．
  4. 斷食の 布告をし， きよめの 集會のふれを 出せ． 長老たちとこの 國に 住むすべての 者を， あなたがたの 神， 主の 宮に 集め， 主に 向かって 叫べ．
  5. ああ， その 日よ． 主の 日は 近い． 全能者からの 破壞のように， その 日が 來る．
  1. Despair, you farmers, wail, you vine growers; grieve for the wheat and the barley, because the harvest of the field is destroyed.
  2. The vine is dried up and the fig tree is withered; the pomegranate, the palm and the apple tree-- all the trees of the field--are dried up. Surely the joy of mankind is withered away.
  3. Put on sackcloth, O priests, and mourn; wail, you who minister before the altar. Come, spend the night in sackcloth, you who minister before my God; for the grain offerings and drink offerings are withheld from the house of your God.
  4. Declare a holy fast; call a sacred assembly. Summon the elders and all who live in the land to the house of the LORD your God, and cry out to the LORD.
  5. Alas for that day! For the day of the LORD is near; it will come like destruction from the Almighty.
  1. 私たちの 目の 前で 食物が 斷たれたではないか． 私たちの 神の 宮から 喜びも 樂しみも 消えうせたではないか．
  2. 穀物の 種は 土くれの 下に 干からび， 倉は 荒れすたれ， 穴倉はこわされた． 穀物がしなびたからだ．
  3. ああ， なんと， 家畜がうめいていることよ． 牛の 群れはさまよう． それに 牧場がないからだ． 羊の 群れも 滅びる．
  4. 主よ． 私はあなたに 呼び 求めます． 火が 荒野の 牧草地を 燒き 盡くし， 炎が 野のすべての 木をなめ 盡くしました．
  5. 野の ¿も， あなたにあえぎ 求めています． 水の 流れがかれ， 火が 荒野の 牧草地を 燒き 盡くしたからです．
  1. Has not the food been cut off before our very eyes-- joy and gladness from the house of our God?
  2. The seeds are shriveled beneath the clods. The storehouses are in ruins, the granaries have been broken down, for the grain has dried up.
  3. How the cattle moan! The herds mill about because they have no pasture; even the flocks of sheep are suffering.
  4. To you, O LORD, I call, for fire has devoured the open pastures and flames have burned up all the trees of the field.
  5. Even the wild animals pant for you; the streams of water have dried up and fire has devoured the open pastures.
 
  야웨의 날(2:1-2:17)    
 
  1. シオン で 角笛を 吹き 鳴らし， わたしの 聖なる 山でときの 聲をあげよ． この 地に 住むすべての 者は， わななけ． 主の 日が 來るからだ． その 日は 近い．
  2. やみと， 暗黑の 日． 雲と， 暗やみの 日． 山¿に 廣がる 曉の 光のように 數多く 强い 民． このようなことは 昔から 起こったことがなく， これから 後の 代¿の 時代にも 再び 起こらない．
  3. 彼らの 前では， 火が 燒き 盡くし， 彼らのうしろでは， 炎がなめ 盡くす． 彼らの 來る 前には， この 國は エデン の 園のようであるが， 彼らの 去ったあとでは， 荒れ 果てた 荒野となる． これからのがれるものは 一つもない．
  4. その 有樣は 馬のようで， 軍馬のように， 驅け 巡る．
  5. さながら 戰車のきしるよう， 彼らは 山¿の 頂をとびはねる． それは 刈り 株を 燒き 盡くす 火の 炎の 音のよう， 戰いの 備えをした 强い 民のようである．
  1. Blow the trumpet in Zion; sound the alarm on my holy hill. Let all who live in the land tremble, for the day of the LORD is coming. It is close at hand-
  2. a day of darkness and gloom, a day of clouds and blackness. Like dawn spreading across the mountains a large and mighty army comes, such as never was of old nor ever will be in ages to come.
  3. Before them fire devours, behind them a flame blazes. Before them the land is like the garden of Eden, behind them, a desert waste-- nothing escapes them.
  4. They have the appearance of horses; they gallop along like cavalry.
  5. With a noise like that of chariots they leap over the mountaintops, like a crackling fire consuming stubble, like a mighty army drawn up for battle.
  1. その 前で 國¿の 民はもだえ 苦しみ， みなの 顔は 靑ざめる．
  2. それは 勇士のように 走り， 戰士のように 城壁をよじのぼる． それぞれ 自分の 道を 進み， 進路を 亂さない．
  3. 互いに 押し 合わず， めいめい 自分の 大路を 進んで 行く． 投げ 槍がふりかかっても， 止まらない．
  4. それは 町を 襲い， 城壁の 上を 走り， 家¿によじのぼり， 盜人のように 窓からはいり ¿む．
  5. その 面前で 地は 震い， 天は ¿れる． 太陽も 月も 暗くなり， 星もその 光を 失う．
  1. At the sight of them, nations are in anguish; every face turns pale.
  2. They charge like warriors; they scale walls like soldiers. They all march in line, not swerving from their course.
  3. They do not jostle each other; each marches straight ahead. They plunge through defenses without breaking ranks.
  4. They rush upon the city; they run along the wall. They climb into the houses; like thieves they enter through the windows.
  5. Before them the earth shakes, the sky trembles, the sun and moon are darkened, and the stars no longer shine.
  1. 主は， ご 自身の 軍勢の 先頭に 立って 聲をあげられる． その 隊の 數は 非常に 多く， 主の 命令を 行なう 者は 力强い． 主の 日は 偉大で， 非常に 恐ろしい． だれがこの 日に 耐えられよう．
  2. 「しかし， 今， ··主の 御告げ． ··心を 盡くし， 斷食と， 淚と， 嘆きとをもって， わたしに 立ち 返れ． 」
  3. あなたがたの 着物ではなく， あなたがたの 心を 引き 裂け． あなたがたの 神， 主に 立ち 返れ． 主は 情け 深く， あわれみ 深く， 怒るのにおそく， 惠み 豊かで， わざわいを 思い 直してくださるからだ．
  4. 主が 思い 直して， あわれみ， そのあとに 祝福を 殘し， また， あなたがたの 神， 主への 穀物のささげ 物と 注ぎのぶどう 酒とを 殘してくださらないとだれが 知ろう．
  5. シオン で 角笛を 吹き 鳴らせ． 斷食の 布告をし， きよめの 集會のふれを 出せ．
  1. The LORD thunders at the head of his army; his forces are beyond number, and mighty are those who obey his command. The day of the LORD is great; it is dreadful. Who can endure it?
  2. "Even now," declares the LORD, "return to me with all your heart, with fasting and weeping and mourning."
  3. Rend your heart and not your garments. Return to the LORD your God, for he is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and abounding in love, and he relents from sending calamity.
  4. Who knows? He may turn and have pity and leave behind a blessing-- grain offerings and drink offerings for the LORD your God.
  5. Blow the trumpet in Zion, declare a holy fast, call a sacred assembly.
  1. 民を 集め， 集會を 召集せよ． 老人たちを 集め， 幼子， 乳飮み 子も 寄せ 集めよ． 花¿を 寢室から， 花嫁を 自分の 部屋から 呼び 出せ．
  2. 主に 仕える 祭司たちは， 神殿の 玄關の 間と 祭壇との 間で， 泣いて 言え． 「主よ． あなたの 民をあわれんでください． あなたのゆずりの 地を， 諸國の 民のそしりとしたり， 物笑いの 種としたりしないでください． 國¿の 民の 間に， 『彼らの 神はどこにいるのか． 』と 言わせておいてよいのでしょうか． 」
  1. Gather the people, consecrate the assembly; bring together the elders, gather the children, those nursing at the breast. Let the bridegroom leave his room and the bride her chamber.
  2. Let the priests, who minister before the LORD, weep between the temple porch and the altar. Let them say, "Spare your people, O LORD. Do not make your inheritance an object of scorn, a byword among the nations. Why should they say among the peoples, 'Where is their God?' "
