- そのとき， ゼベダイ の 子たちの 母が， 子どもたちといっしょに イエス のもとに 來て， ひれ 伏して， お 願いがありますと 言った．
- イエス が 彼女に， 「どんな 願いですか． 」と 言われると， 彼女は 言った． 「私のこのふたりの 息子が， あなたの 御國で， ひとりはあなたの 右に， ひとりは 左にすわれるようにおことばを 下さい． 」
- けれども， イエス は 答えて 言われた． 「あなたがたは 自分が 何を 求めているのか， わかっていないのです． わたしが 飮もうとしている 杯を 飮むことができますか． 」彼らは「できます． 」と 言った．
- イエス は 言われた． 「あなたがたはわたしの 杯を 飮みはします． しかし， わたしの 右と 左にすわることは， このわたしの 許すことではなく， わたしの 父によってそれに 備えられた 人¿があるのです． 」
- このことを 聞いたほかの 十人は， このふたりの 兄弟のことで 腹を 立てた．

- Then came to him the mother of Zebedees children with her sons, worshipping him, and desiring a certain thing of him.
- And he said unto her, What wilt thou? She saith unto him, Grant that these my two sons may sit, the one on thy right hand, and the other on the left, in thy kingdom.
- But Jesus answered and said, Ye know not what ye ask. Are ye able to drink of the cup that I shall drink of, and to be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with? They say unto him, We are able.
- And he saith unto them, Ye shall drink indeed of my cup, and be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with: but to sit on my right hand, and on my left, is not mine to give, but it shall be given to them for whom it is prepared of my Father.
- And when the ten heard it, they were moved with indignation against the two brethren.

- そこで， イエス は 彼らを 呼び 寄せて， 言われた． 「あなたがたも 知っているとおり， 異邦人の 支配者たちは 彼らを 支配し， 偉い 人たちは 彼らの 上に 權力をふるいます．
- あなたがたの 間では， そうではありません． あなたがたの 間で 偉くなりたいと 思う 者は， みなに 仕える 者になりなさい．
- あなたがたの 間で 人の 先に 立ちたいと 思う 者は， あなたがたのしもべになりなさい．
- 人の 子が 來たのが， 仕えられるためではなく， かえって 仕えるためであり， また， 多くの 人のための， ·いの 代價として， 自分のいのちを 與えるためであるのと 同じです． 」
- 彼らが エリコ を 出て 行くと， 大ぜいの 群衆が イエス について 行った．

- But Jesus called them unto him, and said, Ye know that the princes of the Gentiles exercise dominion over them, and they that are great exercise authority upon them.
- But it shall not be so among you: but whosoever will be great among you, let him be your minister;
- And whosoever will be chief among you, let him be your servant:
- Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.
- And as they departed from Jericho, a great multitude followed him.

- すると， 道ばたにすわっていたふたりの 盲人が， イエス が 通られると 聞いて， 叫んで 言った． 「主よ． 私たちをあわれんでください． ダビデ の 子よ． 」
- そこで， 群衆は 彼らを 默らせようとして， たしなめたが， 彼らはますます， 「主よ． 私たちをあわれんでください． ダビデ の 子よ． 」と 叫び 立てた．
- すると， イエス は 立ち 止まって， 彼らを 呼んで 言われた． 「わたしに 何をしてほしいのか． 」
- 彼らは イエス に 言った． 「主よ． この 目をあけていただきたいのです． 」
- イエス はかわいそうに 思って， 彼らの 目にさわられた． すると， すぐさま 彼らは 見えるようになり， イエス について 行った．

- And, behold, two blind men sitting by the way side, when they heard that Jesus passed by, cried out, saying, Have mercy on us, O Lord, thou son of David.
- And the multitude rebuked them, because they should hold their peace: but they cried the more, saying, Have mercy on us, O Lord, thou son of David.
- And Jesus stood still, and called them, and said, What will ye that I shall do unto you?
- They say unto him, Lord, that our eyes may be opened.
- So Jesus had compassion on them, and touched their eyes: and immediately their eyes received sight, and they followed him.
