- そこで， 天の 御國は， たとえて 言えば， それぞれがともしびを 持って， 花¿を 出迎える 十人の 娘のようです．
- そのうち 五人は 愚かで， 五人は 賢かった．
- 愚かな 娘たちは， ともしびは 持っていたが， 油を 用意しておかなかった．
- 賢い 娘たちは， 自分のともしびといっしょに， 入れ 物に 油を 入れて 持っていた．
- 花¿が 來るのが 遲れたので， みな， うとうとして 眠り 始めた．

- Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom.
- And five of them were wise, and five were foolish.
- They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them:
- But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps.
- While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept.

- ところが， 夜中になって， 『そら， 花¿だ． 迎えに 出よ． 』と 叫ぶ 聲がした．
- 娘たちは， みな 起きて， 自分のともしびを 整えた．
- ところが 愚かな 娘たちは， 賢い 娘たちに 言った． 『油を 少し 私たちに 分けてください． 私たちのともしびは 消えそうです． 』
- しかし， 賢い 娘たちは 答えて 言った． 『いいえ， あなたがたに 分けてあげるにはとうてい 足りません． それよりも 店に 行って， 自分のをお 買いなさい． 』
- そこで， 買いに 行くと， その 間に 花¿が 來た． 用意のできていた 娘たちは， 彼といっしょに 婚禮の 祝宴に 行き， 戶がしめられた．

- And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him.
- Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps.
- And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out.
- But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves.
- And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut.

- そのあとで， ほかの 娘たちも 來て， 『ご 主人さま， ご 主人さま． あけてください． 』と 言った．
- しかし， 彼は 答えて， 『確かなところ， 私はあなたがたを 知りません． 』と 言った．
- だから， 目をさましていなさい． あなたがたは， その 日， その 時を 知らないからです．
- 天の 御國は， しもべたちを 呼んで， 自分の 財産を 預け， 旅に 出て 行く 人のようです．
- 彼は， おのおのその 能力に 應じて， ひとりには 五 タラント ， ひとりには 二 タラント ， もうひとりには 一 タラント を 渡し， それから 旅に 出かけた．

- Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us.
- But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not.
- Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh.
- For the kingdom of heaven is as a man travelling into a far country, who called his own servants, and delivered unto them his goods.
- And unto one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one; to every man according to his several ability; and straightway took his journey.

- 五 タラント 預かった 者は， すぐに 行って， それで 商賣をして， さらに 五 タラント もうけた．
- 同樣に， 二 タラント 預かった 者も， さらに 二 タラント もうけた．
- ところが， 一 タラント 預かった 者は， 出て 行くと， 地を 掘って， その 主人の 金を 隱した．
- さて， よほどたってから， しもべたちの 主人が 歸って 來て， 彼らと 淸算をした．
- すると， 五 タラント 預かった 者が 來て， もう 五 タラント 差し 出して 言った． 『ご 主人さま． 私に 五 タラント 預けてくださいましたが， ご 覽ください． 私はさらに 五 タラント もうけました． 』

- Then he that had received the five talents went and traded with the same, and made them other five talents.
- And likewise he that had received two, he also gained other two.
- But he that had received one went and digged in the earth, and hid his lord's money.
- After a long time the lord of those servants cometh, and reckoneth with them.
- And so he that had received five talents came and brought other five talents, saying, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me five talents: behold, I have gained beside them five talents more.

- その 主人は 彼に 言った． 『よくやった． 良い 忠實なしもべだ． あなたは， わずかな 物に 忠實だったから， 私はあなたにたくさんの 物を 任せよう． 主人の 喜びをともに 喜んでくれ． 』
- 二 タラント の 者も 來て 言った． 『ご 主人さま． 私は 二 タラント 預かりましたが， ご 覽ください． さらに 二 タラント もうけました． 』
- その 主人は 彼に 言った． 『よくやった． 良い 忠實なしもべだ． あなたは， わずかな 物に 忠實だったから， 私はあなたにたくさんの 物を 任せよう． 主人の 喜びをともに 喜んでくれ． 』
- ところが， 一 タラント 預かっていた 者も 來て， 言った． 『ご 主人さま． あなたは， 蒔かない 所から 刈り 取り， 散らさない 所から 集めるひどい 方だとわかっていました．
- 私はこわくなり， 出て 行って， あなたの 一 タラント を 地の 中に 隱しておきました． さあどうぞ， これがあなたの 物です． 』

- His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.
- He also that had received two talents came and said, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me two talents: behold, I have gained two other talents beside them.
- His lord said unto him, Well done, good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.
- Then he which had received the one talent came and said, Lord, I knew thee that thou art an hard man, reaping where thou hast not sown, and gathering where thou hast not strawed:
- And I was afraid, and went and hid thy talent in the earth: lo, there thou hast that is thine.

- ところが， 主人は 彼に 答えて 言った． 『惡いなまけ 者のしもべだ． 私が 蒔かない 所から 刈り 取り， 散らさない 所から 集めることを 知っていたというのか．
- だったら， おまえはその 私の 金を， 銀行に 預けておくべきだった． そうすれば 私は 歸って 來たときに， 利息がついて 返してもらえたのだ．
- だから， その タラント を 彼から 取り 上げて， それを 十 タラント 持っている 者にやりなさい． 』
- だれでも 持っている 者は， 與えられて 豊かになり， 持たない 者は， 持っているものまでも 取り 上げられるのです．
- 役に 立たぬしもべは， 外の 暗やみに 追い 出しなさい． そこで 泣いて 齒ぎしりするのです．

- His lord answered and said unto him, Thou wicked and slothful servant, thou knewest that I reap where I sowed not, and gather where I have not strawed:
- Thou oughtest therefore to have put my money to the exchangers, and then at my coming I should have received mine own with usury.
- Take therefore the talent from him, and give it unto him which hath ten talents.
- For unto every one that hath shall be given, and he shall have abundance: but from him that hath not shall be taken away even that which he hath.
- And cast ye the unprofitable servant into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
