- さて， イエス がある 町におられたとき， 全身らい 病の 人がいた． イエス を 見ると， ひれ 伏してお 願いした． 「主よ． お 心一つで， 私はきよくしていただけます． 」
- イエス は 手を 伸ばして， 彼にさわり， 「わたしの 心だ． きよくなれ． 」と 言われた． すると， すぐに， そのらい 病が 消えた．
- イエス は， 彼にこう 命じられた． 「だれにも 話してはいけない． ただ 祭司のところに 行って， 自分を 見せなさい． そして 人¿へのあかしのため， モ ― セ が 命じたように， あなたのきよめの 供え 物をしなさい． 」
- しかし， イエス のうわさは， ますます 廣まり， 多くの 人の 群れが， 話を 聞きに， また， 病氣を 直してもらいに 集まって 來た．
- しかし， イエス ご 自身は， よく 荒野に 退いて 祈っておられた．

- And it came to pass, when he was in a certain city, behold a man full of leprosy: who seeing Jesus fell on his face, and besought him, saying, Lord, if thou wilt, thou canst make me clean.
- And he put forth his hand, and touched him, saying, I will: be thou clean. And immediately the leprosy departed from him.
- And he charged him to tell no man: but go, and shew thyself to the priest, and offer for thy cleansing, according as Moses commanded, for a testimony unto them.
- But so much the more went there a fame abroad of him: and great multitudes came together to hear, and to be healed by him of their infirmities.
- And he withdrew himself into the wilderness, and prayed.

- ある 日のこと， イエス が 敎えておられると， パリサイ 人と 律法の 敎師たちも， そこにすわっていた． 彼らは， ガリラヤ と ユダヤ とのすべての 村¿や， エルサレム から 來ていた． イエス は， 主の 御力をもって， 病氣を 直しておられた．
- するとそこに， 男たちが， 中風をわずらっている 人を， 床のままで 運んで 來た． そして， 何とかして 家の 中に 運び ¿み， イエス の 前に 置こうとしていた．
- しかし， 大ぜい 人がいて， どうにも 病人を 運び ¿む 方法が 見つからないので， 屋上に 上って 屋根の 瓦をはがし， そこから 彼の 寢床を， ちょうど 人¿の 眞中の イエス の 前に， つり 降ろした．
- 彼らの 信仰を 見て， イエス は「友よ． あなたの 罪は 赦されました． 」と 言われた．
- ところが， 律法學者， パリサイ 人たちは， 理屈を 言い 始めた． 「神をけがすことを 言うこの 人は， いったい 何者だ． 神のほかに， だれが 罪を 赦すことができよう． 」

- And it came to pass on a certain day, as he was teaching, that there were Pharisees and doctors of the law sitting by, which were come out of every town of Galilee, and Judaea, and Jerusalem: and the power of the Lord was present to heal them.
- And, behold, men brought in a bed a man which was taken with a palsy: and they sought means to bring him in, and to lay him before him.
- And when they could not find by what way they might bring him in because of the multitude, they went upon the housetop, and let him down through the tiling with his couch into the midst before Jesus.
- And when he saw their faith, he said unto him, Man, thy sins are forgiven thee.
- And the scribes and the Pharisees began to reason, saying, Who is this which speaketh blasphemies? Who can forgive sins, but God alone?

- その 理屈を 見拔いておられた イエス は， 彼らに 言われた． 「なぜ， 心の 中でそんな 理屈を 言っているのか．
- 『あなたの 罪は 赦された． 』と 言うのと， 『起きて 步け． 』と 言うのと， どちらがやさしいか．
- 人の 子が 地上で 罪を 赦す 權威を 持っていることを， あなたがたに 悟らせるために． 」と 言って， 中風の 人に， 「あなたに 命じる． 起きなさい． 寢床をたたんで， 家に 歸りなさい． 」と 言われた．
- すると 彼は， たちどころに 人¿の 前で 立ち 上がり， 寢ていた 床をたたんで， 神をあがめながら 自分の 家に 歸った．
- 人¿はみな， ひどく 驚き， 神をあがめ， 恐れに 滿たされて， 「私たちは， きょう， 驚くべきことを 見た． 」と 言った．

- But when Jesus perceived their thoughts, he answering said unto them, What reason ye in your hearts?
- Whether is easier, to say, Thy sins be forgiven thee; or to say, Rise up and walk?
- But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power upon earth to forgive sins, (he said unto the sick of the palsy,) I say unto thee, Arise, and take up thy couch, and go into thine house.
- And immediately he rose up before them, and took up that whereon he lay, and departed to his own house, glorifying God.
- And they were all amazed, and they glorified God, and were filled with fear, saying, We have seen strange things to day.
